Tre needed a charity for Celeb Apprentice and the Trump kids favored Nephcure. People criticized her for not going with Dina's charity - the Ladybug thing. But I think there were problems with Dina's because they didn't have 501c3 status initially and people were questioning it's validity. Also I want to say that Tre has continued to support Nephcure if her tweets are anything to go by. It wasn't just for Celeb Apprentice. I can't hate on her for supporting a charity. She may be a thoughtless idiot, but that doesn't make her support of Nephcure bad. Edited by Finestra, Jul 18 2013, 09:20 AM.

I'm relieved you Guys weren't pissed about what I wrote. As I said, I'm barely watching NJ or OC- they've both just sort of jumped the shark for me. I'll maybe catch bits and pieces, but I still like to read the blogs eventually. I wasn't pissed at Joe because it was in the moment, I didn't think it was malicious, I thought it was in defense of Tree and against Jacq- and that's his usual MO- and at least 6 months have passed since then. I think Tree should know better, and if not she shouldn't assume. She has no EARTHLY idea what it's like to essentially watch your child's essence totally be snatched by this disease, and to have to bring them back to any extent you can. 90% of parents' of autistic children divorce after diagnosis. (90% of the DD community are abused (yes- 90%!). I don't know if she's working off a body count, and so autism isn't high enough; but I can show her photos of at least 6 beautiful autistic faces that have died as a direct result of this disorder since January. I got to page 6 of that blog and literally saw RED- I don't know what my blood pressure was- I vented here- and the I lay in bed with my heart just pounding; just pissed as hell- and I never read page 7 of the blog. This morning I'm more able to take it from where it came from- but I hope people will not just dismiss and diminish Autism because it relates to Jacqueline. It's not Teresa's responsibility to be informed about Autism. She could've just said Joe meant no harm- and I believe that- and then just shut the hell up. Sorry- it all just hits too close to home for me.

Which was smart of her. She needs to work hard to get back in the good graces of the viewers so it was smart of her to be graceful even if she was a little upset. Most of comments I've read say that The New Juicy was being nice about Nick when he said that. If Jac was upset (or just looking for another reason to rail against them), it behooves her to keep her mouth shut. Truth be told, I'm surprised she did because, well, she's really not smart. That said, Teresa's blog came out after Jac's. I wonder if that rubbed her the wrong way or will she bite her tongue until bloody or until public favor swings her way. |

Joe's comments were also typical of questions people ask ME- usually the first or second question, about Jake- "He's autistic? Oh, is he a Genius?" I call it the "Rainman" factor :) He qualified it by saying he's not a Doctor (he could've fooled me :) But fundamentally to me, not offensive at ALL in the moment. |

ranjake: Good post. It's ones like yours, on forums and blogs like this, that are the only reason I'll give Jac ANY credit for bringing this storyline. Is she creating awareness the right way? Not in my opinion. But has she brought any awareness at all? Yup. Because all types of people, smart ones and ignorant ones are now discussing it and that's something. Even if they take one tiny bit of info away, like, that kids DO die from autism, that's something. Or that if you see a child having a tantrum in a restaurant or a parent withholding a toy as a reward, that you don't jump to conclusions that the child is just a brat and the parent is cruel. Jac crying about Nick? I know that rubs a lot of people wrong and it's not great to see her doing it so much and she appears to do it a lot in front of him - but even that, if I was a mother not coping with my child's diagnosis so well, would show me it was okay to cry and feel awful and guilty. And that I didn't need to feel like Superwoman, Curer of All Ailments all the time. |

Rye I think Tre was definitely going after Jac in her blog. I think Jac did use her blog to try and be a little more informative about autism. Maybe someone is finally editing Jac because she was fine about Juicy on twitter too. In the old days, I could see her flying off the handle. I think Melissa's blog, and the episode in general, set Tre off in her blog. There is no way that these people are really on good terms with each other. Ranjake, I think this is where Teresa defaults into the stupidity that she is. As soon as I read that paragraph I thought that she just can't leave well enough alone and really is a stupid, reactive person. Instead of just apologizing and moving on, she thinks she has to explain and justify her 'fuggedaboutit' husband's comments. Maybe this is why people on the show all forgive Juicy but can't with Tre. |

I'm not sure why Teresa had to be friends with a charity in order to support it. As long as someone supports a valid charity, I don't think it really matters whether or not they are "friends" or know anyone on the board. |

I really have very mixed feelings about Bravo featuring Nick's autism. I don't begrudge Jac taking every break that she can get. But I don't like this storyline. I think it exploits Nick, undermines people's sympathy for parents of ASD kids and isn't informative/educational in the way it could be. I am sick of seeing Jac's tears on tv, but I blame that more on Bravo. The whole last season, Jac was dealing with getting the diagnosis and keeping it under wraps. She traveled to California for a nonsense trip and was all over Tre/Melissa storyline. This season is a year later, and the amount of times we have seen Jac crying is a little self-indulgent. I think one episode of her breaking down would be enough to show/inform people that parents of autistic children are under a tremendous amount of stress. And it would show parents that it is okay to feel overwhelmed at times and have an emotional break. But I would also like to see Jac pulling herself up by her bootstraps and giving people hope that you don't have to be a sobbing ball of jello. This is the Jac on twitter - she comes across much stronger and more positive. Bravo isn't doing her any favors by continually showing her out with the other Hos or drinking or obsessing about Tre, while at the same time having this whole storyline going about how Jac is so overwhelmed and working so hard at Nick's recovery, especially the scene where she leaves the nanny with him the first time he uses the hyperbaric chamber in order to go down and socialize with their guests. It sends such a mixed message. IMO, I have very little sympathy for Jac because of the way she is behaving in general. And I find that to be a shame because she does deserve support for dealing with what she deals with on a daily basis. Being on the show is only undermining support for her. |

Perhaps in that pea brain of hers she thinks she needs a personal reason to support a charity or at least needed a reason when asked why she personally supported that charity on celebrity apprentice to collect her dough |

ccc I think you are right that Celeb Apprentice makes them all give the reason they are supporting their chosen charities. Her continued support though is laudable, no matter how big an idiot she is. What kills me are celebs who demand appearance fees for showing up to a charity event. Either fucking support the charity or don't go. |

Yes, Finestra! Or people who use charity money irresponsibly. Wyclef Jean used Haitian earthquake relief $$ to charter a private jet to bring Lindsay Lohan to an event. Ugh. |

It's Eric Trump's and/or Donald Trump Jr's charity, right? That's what I thought- anyway- that they "found" a charity for her, and kadooz to her that she's kept up bringing awareness and support to the charity. You would thik it would make her more mindful of "there but for the Grace of God go I". She DOES have four beautiful, hairy-grilled (j/k :) HEALTHY DOORTERS. She's lucky...

I think this is what we'll see next season on her redemption tour. UNLESS Bravo cans her first. But I don't think they will. Here's my prediction: Bravo knows it's losing audience. They've gotten trashy and shrill. Especially NJ and OC. So now they have Jac's storyline. They can edit the show and ghostwrite her blog and the PR machine can guide her to make better choices on twitter and at appearances so it seems like she's pulled herself together. Now they aren't just a show about catty ass women. Now it's catty ass women bringing awareness to a national epidemic which may affect a good portion of their demographic. It's plausible, right? I would hope Bravo has the decency to stop showing Nick so often, if at all. I don't think they can pull off a sympathetic story line for Jac without him, though, which is too bad.. ^o) |

I agree Rye. The editors are up their with gods on TV. I don't know how often they film Nick either. It could have been done in a session or two and then cut and pasted. I doubt they do it that often but I don't know. I can just hope. |

I have all the sympathy in the world for Nicholas and any other child with autism. I have little to no sympathy for Jax. I wish I could muster some up but, sadly IMO her son's issues are being used by her to wrap herself in a "mother of an autistic child" cloak that shields her from any criticism of her behavior regardless of how out of line she is. Odd how she manages to devote her days to Beauty and Autism and has no time for foolishness and distractions but hasn't missed a beat of what is going on with Tre, Mel, Kathy and their spouses. Interesting that her tears miraculously dry up when she gets all dolled up for her talking heads. If what Tre and the others do is lower on her list of concern than getting her asshole bleached or her lips waxed (all of them HEHEHE!!) because she is the MOTHER OF AN AUTISTIC CHILD, than obviously she doesn't need to be on the show. So get off it and tend to her child. Juicy and Tre may have said insensitive or stupid things about autism, but IMO they never would have said anything at all about it if Jax didn't continue to needle and instigate with what she thinks is impunity. IMO, the Nicholas "storyline" doesn't have a place on a show like this one. It isn't being used to educate or bring awareness to the public.. I've learned nothing that I didn't already know, and doubt I will in the future. Jax isn't interested in educating, she is interested in what she was interested in prior to his diagnosis, shit stirring, gossip and Bailey's. If she doesn't leave the show willingly, then Andy should step in and make the decision for her. |
