Oh rye, sorry I didn't pay attention to the poster name. I should have known - because I remember that was something we shared. I'm SO glad you have made strides with your relationship with your brother! That's wonderful! Whether it lasts or not, it's good to know you were able to come to some sort of truce - so you know you could do it again if you needed/wanted to. |

I think if stuff is cut between airings its deliberate. To fuck with the viewers. To stir the pot. I see something, someone else views it and doesnt see it, their take on things is skewed from mine yet we saw the "the same show". it's not minutes missing, it's a mere second or two shot of a look or a face or gesture. sometimes I think they remove a sentence or words out of a conversation. Strange how almost subliminally they manipulate us. |

My take on the christening...there was a blow out with Tre and family. But they got on the show and Tre was determined NOT to have their feud played out in public. Thats why Joe and Mel had the WTF looks on their faces, they were ready to take it on camera. Tre was hoping they'd make nice just for appearance sake. Tre was unprepared for the vitriol and from then things escalated. |

Yet knowing that, I still come back like an addict for any little drop I can drink. sigh, so ashamed of myself. So happy for all the Dr. V love. I do adore her, she's the only thing of value outta that stupid LA Shrinks show. We need a petition for her to start hosting the reunions please. Make her Bravo's staff therapist. Not only does Kathy wake up with a full face of makeup, but she also evidently makes the bed at a hotel. |

Bolding mine. For me, that's exactly it. It's fascinating. Sometimes things can get heated on other boards and it's like, "No reason to get too hepped up. By this time next year, the majority will be thinking Caroline is all that and a bag of chips." Bravo is scary. It is so brilliantly, subliminally done. That's really the only reason I still watch because, especially with NJ, I've never been closer to washing my hands of a cast. But I'm curious to see if Caroline is going to become a sympathetic character or if Joe Gorga becomes everyone's hairy little favorite. If Joe Guidice can do, it so can the Fidget. Maybe even Richie. Never say never. |

I still watch because I'm nosy and I want to see how it all plays out. But I think that I watch now knowing so much is fake and set up and aired out of order. I notice stuff like Kathy "waking up" with full makeup on more now than I used to. I just don't give much of a crap beyond the shows now. Not that you would know it from the amount that I yack about them on here but I swear, it's true. LOL |

You're making me have to stick up for Fishy. I've shared vacation homes with other couples. If I get up earlier than everybody else, either because that's my nature, I'm menopausal, I'm not comfy in a strange bed, I got less drunk than all the others the night before - whatever - I will shower and get ready for the day before any one else is up. I might even end up laying back down. And knowing another houseguest could visit my room before the housekeeper gets there, then, yeah, I might pull up the coverlet a little. That's one possible explanation. Or Fish really does go to bed with perfect, smudgeproof makeup. Speaking of which, Shopper, today at Costco I see they are selling Smashbox Photofinish Primer for 20.00 Wear that and make-up doesn't budge. |

Ooh, that primer sounds good! I may have to swing by Costco. I think Fishy wore makeup as a public service. Makeup-less Clownie frightened. Why did Richie wear the can 'o hair stained sweater the next day? He only brought one? |

Now you are making me jealous Rye. Costco is too damn far so i joined BJ's, no fancy cosmetics there, but they take coupons and sell smaller quantities in addition to the big warehouse sizes:( Back to fishy - if you watch she's just kinda putzing at the bed in her full face of makeup. My guess is they yelled action and she was told to try and make it look natural. |

Cosmo, I think I started it when I said Mr. Disco and I could have used Dr. V in our Tre/Melissa discussion at Barnes and Noble, then I mentioned that I had a sister-in-law like Melissa who was always bad mouthing me in my brother's ear. (Can I help it she was jealous?;) ) But said brother and I could use Dr. V as well.... he's the only brother who doesn't contact me, if I talk to him it's because I call. One time even my mom and dad told him he needed therapy because of his issues (in his head) with me. If only there had been reality tv then..... |

Oh, disco there seem to be plenty of us with problematic sibling/in-law relationships unfortunately. On a lighter note, I just saw this at Tw 0P and wanted to share - it was posted by film noire:

Disco I have the same SIL. It's mostly amicable but I've seen her act like Melissa Gorga several times over the past decade and I won't forget that. The manipulation of my brother is exactly like what goes on with them, but on a smaller scale. I think that's why I won't ever side with Melissa, I know exactly what she's doing. It's identical for us, right down to the same family dynamic. |
