(clears throat) Velvet, Imma let you finish, but no one bests me in a 'bad person judging RHONJ kids' contest.... ...for I again, just seeing the previews, am back to disliking poor G-to-the-ia. Goddamn she is a manipulative little sponge. And the thing is, I of course admit and totally believe that she's suffering but there's something I just don't fucking buy about a 9-11 year old feeling 'torn apart' by a chill between her parent and her uncle. I can't express it but I think she gets a lot of satisfaction out of these teary fits - the kind of satisfaction a high-school girl gets from threatening to kill herself over a boyfriend or somesuch. I think she's already an unusually masterful little fake. Yes, those are the flames of hell licking the legs of my sofa. The Gorga kids are very young, but the oldest is very adorable to me, too, and seems to be a pretty well-mannered, nice little girl. Tree's brood - I know the second-oldest threatened to smack Clownie on that cruise in Italy but I still think she and the tiny one are the only ones I could be around safely. The actress and the abusive Vincent Pastore look-alike - fuck me, I'd never be able to handle it. Edited by Camo, May 14 2012, 11:30 PM.

Gonna agree with you, Velvet. As despicable as Juicy Jo is, he cracks me up and I find him the most entertaining. I think it's because he just doesn't give a crap anymore. And don't forget - he called Missy a horse. Also, I didnt know Dina wasn't speaking to Clownie, Cow and their children? I really wonder what's going on there. With Clownie putting her fambly first and all, you'd expect her to clean up any shit at home first before trying to work her magic on anyone else's family. Edited by oleander, May 15 2012, 12:00 AM.

I'm watching the repeat now (and what the hell was that show that played after B about some wedding planner? - is Bravo using Andy's absence to burn off failed pilots?) but I digress. I am chuckling over Juicy's splits and what was w/ Tre spontaneously doing 5 pushups in the middle of the bedroom while making up the bed? Was that a deleted scene? I don't remember that lunacy last night. Juicy is in full split and talking and Tre all of a sudden drops and gives him 5. Weird and hilarious. Almost as funny as "are your pants on backwards" trainer. I just love this show. |

It might seem odd, but I prefer kids like the Guidice's four to the Gorga three. High energy, joy, fully engaged ... childhood will be memorable. I think between the two Joes, Juicy's the one who is closest with his kids. I've never seen JoeGo pick up his kids other than to take them outside or to the car, etc. Cuddling? Playing? Joking? Making them dinner? we've seen Juicy do that, even half-assed. Not saying JoeGo doesn't love his kids, but he's not as attentive, so those kids probably are quieter around daddy. The Juicy kids let loose -- camera schmamera -- just do what you like and it's adorable, mommy will love it! |

Forehead slap. ICY you are right! Joe Gorga NEVER interacts with the kids. Shit, we just saw them entertaining themselves while he and Missy, dressed for a party, tossed around a football. Joe Gorga might be more of a traditional man, wife stays home and deals with kids, where Juicy may (omg, I'm ducking now for fear someone launches a tomato or five at me) be a little more in this century. He cooks while Teresa goes to her book signings, he even backed her up when she was doing the explaining last week at Cow's house by saying "Well her first book did real well too." Juicy's in it for the whole family where Joe Gorga might have some blinders on: "that's your job Missy, this is mine, now get over here and get the poison out of me you wench." And I agree that Milania and company have given much more entertainment than the Gorga kids. |

We saw Joe Gorga horsing around with his kids last season while they were packing for Punta Cana. Remember, he put the oldest two in the suitcase and joked he was going to take them with him? |

Yes and I remember when he put the baby in there (I think it was the baby, maybe it was the middle one) the oldest girl was very worried about getting that baby out because he'd be scared. On the other hand, Milania stuffed her younger sister into a suitcase and then sat on it laughing. And just because Joe Guidice cooks his kids some food does not make him father of the year. That's the same man who curses out his wife and tells her to shut up in front of his children. That's the example that man is setting for his four daughters as to how their future husbands should treat them? Screw that. He's a disgusting pig. |

Ish - believe me, I was on the side of Teresa being able to tell Joe Gorga something he didn't run to Melissa with. If Teresa thought Melissa was cheating (she'd need legit proof though, not just "people said") then of course she should tell her brother and of course he should investigate on his own and not add fuel to the fire. But last night Teresa was saying more than that - that they should have a relationship that doesn't get shared with the spouses - that's just weird. I thought Tre was saying she didn't want to have to only see her brother in concert with his wife. She wanted to be able to just have brother/sister time. Which I don't necessarily think is a bad thing. I get along with my in laws, but lots of times on weekends one of my brothers will be out doing errands or whatever and stop by to vist. It's nice to just have it be two of us. You do feel freer to talk about things, especially personal stuff/family stuff, issues we may have with another sibling or parent. There are things I may ask them not to repeat to their wives, not really expecting them not to, but at least that they would tell the wife "hey my sister told me this but don't let her know I told you and don't tell my brother, mother father what she said" and that their spouse would keep their mouth shut. Maybe if Teresa had some one on one time with her "brudder" she might be more inclined to share him. BUT, she has to respect the boundaries and NOT disrespect Melissa, whether she feels she is justified or not. I think there is just too much that has happened in this little family for things to get back on track. Not as long as filming the show is a priority over family. They all need time and distance and reflection. And some humility and intellect. All of which are sadly lacking. I feel for Teresa though. no matter what, I think she does love both Joes dearly and is doing her best to keep her family afloat, financially and emotionally and isn't really well equipped to do it. All she has is grit. When she was sitting in the chair near tear and JoeGo asked her why she was crying, I thought "just give her a hug you asshole"! "give up trying to be right and help her" |

Bwahhaa. Nice on disco! [/quote]Oh I'm late to this week's party but I'm loving all the comments. This is also my favorite franchise and yet I find this group the most despicable of the ho-wives, lol. And no matter how many people gang up on Teresa my cold black heart will never find her sympathetic. If I believed in Karma then I'd say she's getting hers. Still, my red hot hate will always be for Clownie and her delusions. When Clownie voice-overed that they kept the apartment at the Brownstone so they could "be alone" sometimes I choked on my drink. Because yeah, having grown children and a 6,000 sq ft house the only place they can be alone is in the Brownstone? Puh-leeze. That's Al's love nest - where he spends holiday and weekends. But my favorite part was the random trainer getting loaded while working out Cow. |

Disco make sure you don't have your period or it will ruin the sauce. I think both Joes are fairly typical for they types of families they live in. Many traditional Italian men cook, so I don't think Juicy or the Fidget find anything emasculating about that. I did find when Audriana got a boo boo and Gia took care of it that when Juicy went over and said, "you gotta boo boo?" was an indication that he has taken care of the girls a lot. He might not be the most attentive caretaker, but the girls are very at ease with the old troll. I think the Fidget fancies himself as the King. Maybe it is because he is so little physically, but he loves being the king of the house wit da liddle woman talking care of the food and the kids. ITA with Velvet's take on the poison outing. Joe loves having Melissa service him. And I think that is probably how she looks at it too. I love this franchise because these people are so fucking real. They don't even know how real they are. Melissa and Kathy with all of their transparent attempts to bring down Teresa don't even matter. Their husbands reveal how they really live their lives. It is funny how Caroline has become so irrelevant. |

eeeee- I think Juicy's got "i am the KING" syndrome, too. "You don't need nobody but me, Tree". AND I don't like how he's talked to his kids- don't like the "shut up, Gia". That CAN be a very North Jersey/Italian thing (I don't want to stereotype because I'm sure it's true of a lot of places and nationalities- I'm just talking about what I've seen). My husband and I used to joke that none of his "Guido" (sorry, stereotyping again!) male relatives ever made their own plate at a buffet! It was just this weird thing- before they even fed their kids'- go make the "perfect" plate for their husband. I'm thinking it's not even an always typically Italian/Jersey thing. It just was something that always amazed me that we always laughed at. We had some other weird stuff. They were used to really imo "gaudy" weddings and I wanted it different(lol). My husband didn't want gaudy- but my MIL and SIL's did. Luckily, I had my Mom on my side- and she talks softly but she's tougher than anyone. We ALL ended up loving our wedding anyway- and my MIL eventually ended up being just an Angel- my SIL's, too. But I remember the first time I ever met them- I went to one of their homes for a BD party- and it was like culture shock- I thought they all hated eachother- all they did was scream- "Siddown! Siddown! Eat! Eat!" I had never seen anything like it. I also had never seen so much Lladro and Precious Moments in my life :) sorry for blabbering so much :) and WAY off topic :) |

Ranjake, your description makes me think about the scene in Goodfellas where she is around Italian ppl for the first time, with the big hair and the gaudy everything. Hilarious that it stands the test of time. |
