It's funny, watching Gia want to be with JoeGo all the time, because I look at his daughter and don't see her caring about her daddy at all. I think in that household, Melissa takes care of the kids and has them bathed and fed and "put away" before he comes home. Someone reminded me that JoeGo once swung his older son around one time, playing with him for a moment, but in general what the cameras have captured does not show him as a caring father. I suspect (!) Melissa whispers to her children "Not now, Daddy's coming!" a lot.

I think I'm really uncomfortable judging who does and doesn't love their kids- or more, or less or....

I've seen him seem to love his kids- a lot; I guess- though of course I don't know for sure.

Because I literally cannot find a single other watchable thing on right now, I am watching this shit show.

I do not get the set up with Rosie and the married woman. What the fuck was that? And Melissa's talking head about how the woman had two sides - the sweet side and the crazy girl side. Takes one to know one, Melissa. You, too, had a wild lesbian side at one time.

I don't know that anyone's questioning their love and the levels because that would be crazy...crazy like my competitive neighbor who seems to think she's earned motherhood more than I have because her kids were really preemie. Anyway...

I get the point that they show Giudice interacting with the kids and Gorga they really don't. I can't think of any scenes where they have him and the kids interacting, he's more like, "look Melissa look at my new building." I know couples like them, and my guess would be that Melissa had kids to make sure she could hang on to Joe and his money and Joe had kids to primarily make sure he could hang on to Melissa. At least, this is believable to me based on what Bravo has shown us. Sigh. I guess it doesn't have to be nice to be true.

Oh, yes, I said "care for" meaning "take care of" or attend to, not love. I'm sure he loves his kids, but he's not there in the day-to-day the way Juicy is, IMO.

In the Fidget's defense, he's actually working - might be tired when he gets home..and yeah I believe Missy says "shush Daddy's coming" a lot. Probably try to give him quiet when he gets home from work.

Juicy, well his work *is* the kid so naturally we will see more interaction.

O? You have NO IDEA. It's to the point where I want to block her from seeing my FB status updates. If you would get back on FB ya whore you would see it, it's very comical. Her husband actually said to my husband, "If Velvet goes full term my wife isn't going to like her anymore because she only associates with NICU friends."

Everything I say or post I get some Alexis answer about how her life is harder, her baby shit was harder to put together than ours because they had twins, how she's awake doing feedings for 2, sigh. Mr. V had a drink with her husband last week and the guy said, "I can't stand my wife. I'd divorce her if it weren't for these kids."

so I'm trying to have some sympathy, and be happy that their life isn't my life. :)

She sounds just like Alexis, Velvet.

SOMETIMES I feel like defending Teresa, too. I do defend her work ethic- but I just can't defend her- I just don't believe any of it with her. I was talking to my friend about it- it's like Tim Gunn saying to Wendy Pepper "Don't defend the shoe!' To me, Tree is the shoe; I can't defend her or any of them

Scoot over ranjake, I'm sitting next to you. I can't find much likeable in her either even though usually Clownie and her posse ganging up on her would be forcing me to defend Tree. She's a lying liar who lies. She's dumb and arrogant. I can take one or the other but not both.

And to all those who asked "WHY was Greg even there?" The theme of the epsiode was how okay this gang is with their gay family members so of course Clownie needed to include her sons' hanger on token gay friend. See everyone, we are fine with it, just look! You know, like laughing at Kathy and mocking her with come ons by straight married women. Or dragging your co-stars to your brother's last minute wedding so he could have it on TV. Or pretending that your 15 and 17 year old have never noticed their beloved aunt was a lesbian and having her "come out" to them on camera without ever saying the words, "I'm gay." *eyeroll*

I wonder how Greg felt when none of his friends jumped to their feet and called Joe Guidice out for being a homophobe when he made his butthole joke? If Jaime had been there would Caroline have been more critical of Joe than she was in her blog? Chris Laurita nearly peed his pants and I'm sure Critofer's Santa belly jiggled a bit too. I thought it was nice of Joe to apologize and I think it proves Teresa's point that he doesn't have an issue with gay people. It was good to see Joe Gui cheerful again, he is a funny guy.

I actually don't think Juicy has a problem with gays either, but he's so ignorant he doesn't realize when he's being insulting.

Oh I think they are all pretty old school when it comes to the kids. The women change the diapers, clean the house, etc. and the men work. I'm sure that's partly why Juicy is so grumpy, he's the SAH parent now and being so old school, it's probably even harder for him than it would be for other men.

On the other hand, Juicy created that problem all on his own. He's the one who scammed people, he's the one who got the fake drivers license, he's the one who seemed to think he could do whatever he wanted to. Now he has to live with the consequences but I'm fairly certain, in his mind, he's done nothing wrong.

Not only that, but I don't think simply being physically present means that Juicy is somehow a better parent than JoeGo or anyone else. I've never heard JoeGo speak to Melissa the way Juicy speaks to Teresa, I've never seen JoeGo treat the children the way Juicy treats his girls.

ISH - LOL@ "Critofer's Santa belly. Love it!

Maybe my barometer for offensive is different because of where I live. My neighborhood is very gay and I find gay men to be the least sensitive when it comes to the gay jokes, they love the banter and teasing. I spend more time listening to conversations at work about who is a top and who is a bottom than I ever thought possible but everyone laughs about it. Greg chose to have poker-face because he chose to play the offended card. I don't buy it. They're just looking for things to pick on with Teresa and Joe.

But yes, I think the entire message of the show was "we love gay people! Look! Gay hot tub! Gay jokes! Gay wedding! Three gay characters, all unrelated to each other!!!" Either Bravo / RHNJ took some heat for using the faggot/gay slurs or Andy is working too much.

I was uncomfortable too with the way Teresa was talking to Gia. Too much information for a kid to deal with. A simple, "I love my brother and his family and we will work it out because we love each other. There is nothing for you to worry about."

I enjoy watching the Juicys more than the Gorgas. Teresa is herself, no bones about it. While they may try to script a scene, Juicy has no tolerance for it and strays from the script to end with a "Shuddup."

The Gorgas are playing a role. And they think that we can't see through them. I don't like that. They do script their scenes (not in writing because JoGo can't read) in a sense of, "You say this, then I say that, then you follow up with this and then I end it with, Teresa sucks."

As human beings, they all pretty much suck. But as reality show participants, I enjoy watching the Guidice's more.

I love how the whole time Teresa is making herself up, chatting on the phone the girls are crawling all over her room, trying on her shoes, smearing her expensive makeup on their faces and Teresa is oblivious! Then when she gets off the phone and sees the mess, she just gives a "Oh My goodness" and laughs it off, no hystrionics or screaming at them.

Joe Gui is often in the background mopping up the kitchen counter tops and sweeping the floor. I also love his interactions with the girls. He's gruff, yet caring and usually their tears turn into a laugh when he finally does check out their boo boos. He reminds me of my grandfather.
JoeGo maybe the same with his kids but we don't see as much of their domestic life.

Teresa may not be saying just the right thing to Gia but I thought the gist of it was just what most of us would say. I love my brother, he loves me, right now things are not happy between us, but we both want it to get better. It might take a while, but it will happen. All of us love you.
