That was the craziest outfit! And her hair! (all of them wear way too much crazy make-up- and I LOVE make-up- but they're nuts) at first, I didn't think it was Teresa... |

That was so shocking, all I can think is that is her outfit for some fashion show or photo shoot and she liked it and allowed her THs to be shot with it all on. |

I watched but sort of half-assed and now I missed the details of this story Kathy's mom told. I need to rewatch. But this story about your husband is so sad!! That is crazy that it caused a rift in the family, hello, give me my baby back, I mean damn! How did your husband's relationship with his aunt change when he was an adult?
LOL. I'm crying over here. |

Icy, you are in my head on this episode? I liked the show too and for the same reasons. The story about Kathie and Rosie's mom... Wow. I'd be shocked to find out that wasn't a genuine moment where the cameras got lucky. And ranjake, I can see why it reminded you of your husband's story. I've heard stories like that before and it's unimaginable what that must do to someone.
Lol Icy. I wondered the same thing. I echo the "Poor Rosie!!" sentiments on that First Communion dress. Like she said, "No wonder she always felt like she didn't fit. My own mother has always blamed her excessive [well excessive for a middle class mother/teacher] shoe collection on the fact that her father made her wear her brown saddle shoes [her only pair of shoes] with her First Communion dress. Needless to say - I've always had a pretty decent shoe collection thanks to my mom. Teresa and JoGo's real conversation showed how full of shit they really are. I give props to the therapist who had their number as well. |

I only half watched last night - and looks like I didn't DVR it so I'm eagerly awaiting tonight's replay before the new NY Series. I missed the big 'telling fight' outside of the therapist office. I missed Tre's feathered outfit, I missed the Clown evidently refusing to cook Lauren's diet food. Sigh..it's like what the hell episode was I watching last night. I did see the Rosie picture..poor girl - But I missed the genuine moment. Maybe I'm just Jaded. The mom is no saint -wasn't it revealed that she kept a grudge for years w/ Tre's dad? I also question if it was just Kathy who had a problem with Rosie's sexuality. I have been firmly team Tre this year b/c everyone else is so odious, but she makes it so hard. Was she trying to say to Rosie - remember I have/will always be there for you...prolly not. She was using that as an opportunity to try and make the family she's supposebly (TM Joe Gorga/ Jax/ any of those dummies) wants to reconcile with look bad, again. That being said - Kathy gets the side eye for all of her Rosie-centric antics. She (or Bravo) realized she has no story w/o Rosie. However I'm supremely bored, which makes me really wonder what a snooze fest Kathy and Rich are IRL. |

My grandmother watched two different babies for two years. In one the birth mother died in childbirth and she raised the baby for a couple of years. Then she read in the church bulletin that the dad was getting married, and he came around the next week and took the baby. My grandmother was heartbroken. They never really saw her again. Then she took in her niece when the mother had severe post partum and raised her for 18 months. When the mother recovered, they took her back and my grandmother said my grandfather cried all night. They were able to see her a lot (for Sunday dinner) and my grandfather ended up giving her away at her wedding. It would be so heartbreaking to raise an infant for a year or two, only to have it taken away. Also, I like Jax's dad's message, but the question as to whether Teresa ever listened about Ashlee and Jax said, 'yeah, just once," made me think they rehearsed the dad asking that question because Jax knew they only talked about it once on film. I wouldn't be surprised if it came up on those daily morning phone calls. I get the feeling that Teresa is pretty discreet about the others dirty secrets until they piss her off enough. My husband's Aunt was a little crazy :) (GREAT cook, though :) John loved her, but thought she was a pain in the ass (she was:) He really loved his Mom. We lived in his parent's 2 family for a year- they charged us like $200 a month, so we saved there for a year before we bought our house. His parents' were mostly "down the shore" and didn't bother us- but his Aunt bugged me a bit- and I had a little Baby. So we got a house, and everyone was happy for us except his Aunt- she told us we were crazy and we couldn't take care of a Baby alone :) She tried to make her sister "pay" 'til the end of her life. Nothing was ever good enough. Sad. His Mom never wanted to give him away- she was just VERY sick- in the hospital for months- and she took him back as soon as she could. My Mother-in -law never held a grudge and I think she DID always feel a little guilty (she was the nicest lady ever). My Father-in-law stayed pissed 'til the end of HIS life: "she tried to steal my SON!" lololol Craziness. |

No- I know- we must have been posting at the same time. I think the hard feelings came because they were all clear from the beginning, or thought they were- and she offered and said she was just taking care of him 'til her sister was well- and then she wanted to keep him. Your situation in your family sounds heartbreaking, too. I think in John's situation, others had even said they would move into the house with my FIL and the 2 other boys- and she insisted- so... I can definitely see how you could get so attached to a Baby. And she did get to be with him TONS as he was growing up- lived across the street (most of their family lived on the same street; then when my FIL bought a shore house- most of them bought shore houses on the street I live on now !)...plus- they NEVER gave up their Sunday dinners... |

OK was Tre serious with her 'you are doing so well why don't you pay for it' convo in the hallway? Fidget is in debt up to his eyeballs and Tre is doing the same thing she did with Juicy...burying her head in the sand. Missy seems a bit sharper - i wonder if she's clued into his debts? I will say that her spending seems to be scaled back this season? Granted we haven't seen a holiday yet - but has the Fidget done any grand gestures this season? I'm thinking to last year...the mechanical bull at Thanksgiving - the rolex on the tree - the home studio. I'm thinking all we've seen this year is the beach home...which they had to do b/c they took out loan against it right? |

Oh my goodness. Kathy's mom's story is heartbreaking. Holy shit, I love Clownie bashing Ashlee even though she isn't there. "She is cutting dying her hair, getting tatoos, doing lip injections, dying her hair..." Um Clownie, you talking about Jax or Ashlee. |

Yeah, you know...this is an excellent point. When I was reading this that you wrote Shopper, I could hear Kathy's stupid intro in my head: "We're old school..." and thought of all the old world peeps I know and how homosexuality wouldn't really be accepted or embraced. It was treated more like it was on the Sopranos when they found out that one dude was gay - they wanted to kill him, they ostracized him. Ranjake I feel bad for John, to be caught in the middle of history that preceeded him really but that he was the subject of, that's sad. I can't imagine trying to claim my brother's kids as my own. |

They did kill him in the sopranos, though, remember? And I think they also shoved a baseball bat up his ass. At least I think that was tne same guy. |

I thought Tre was getting a subtle dig in at JoeGo and Melissa. I think she is well aware they are starting to feel the same squeeze moneywise that she and JoeGiu experienced. But Mel has been getting her remarks in about "paying our bills" and how well JoeGo is doing $$wise, and I think if Tre kept her problems a secret, it seems JoeGo would also. Lets see if he gets crucified by the L/M crowd when his house of financial cards collapses. |

Well, there was the big sidewalk tour of the buildings JoGo said he owned. And the Shore house complete remodel. I think Tre doesn't want to know anything about money and money problems. She didn't take having a bunch of money very serious - as in not really understanding where it was coming from, the bankruptcy etc. and so it would follow she wouldn't worry too much about the lack of it either. |
