But the Fidget already owned the apartment buildings pre Howives...and the remodel was probably in the works for months. I meant more like grandiose spending on items for the family. I haven't seen that from the Fidget this year was my point. |

It was pool cue, not a baseball bat. But he was killed by the other family (fambly), not the Soprano one, mainly b/c he was gay.. Although, now that I think about it, I think Tony was going to kill him, too, the other guy just got there before. |

Mr. V was watching the Sopranos the other morning, shoot, honestly I think it was the morning I went into labor, and I get why everyone loved that show but still think they went too far with the violence. But that was my point about how gay people are accepted/not accepted into the Italian culture. I hate to generalize, but from growing up in good old CT which is really just like Jerz in many aspects, I know all those guys were all "faggot" this and "homo" that. And it wouldn't be accepted very well, so that's why I think you guys are right about a Rosie-rewrite. Kathy hitched her half-mast google eyed ugly face and Richie's girl arms to the Rosie-wagon. |

Oh you're right Shopper. That's a good point about all the graniose spending [like the S1 Christmas presents, recording studio, etc] this year Shopper. In fact none of them really seem to be hauling out the Tre-Season 1 wads of cash. I don't think anyone has even been gifted with a new car this season. Hmmmmm. I think you guys are on to something with the Walkilies [or however they spell it] hitching their storyline to Rosie. She's been on alot this year and in a flattering way for the most part. |

So agree with you, Velvet. I have such a hard time believing that EVERYONE in Rosie's immediately, very Italian family was just so accepting of her homosexuality. Also, interestingly enough (not really) - I never even watched the sopranos all that much. My bf and his roommates were really into it, and the only time I remember sitting down and watching episodes were the ones where the gay guy was killed. I remember it because it was so disturbing. Man I was a die hard Sopranos fan and I don't remember that story-line. But back to the show - yeah, it was a shitty thing for Tre to do to out the discord (and if it's settled or not, who knows) but she really isn't saying anything earth shattering, nor do I think *she* was this bastion of tolerance like she tried to play it up...though the odds are more in her favor b/c of her background. The degree in faschion merchandising and all. |

So what did Jaq do on the show that made her privatize her twitter anyway? Or hint in her blog that we wouldn't like her next week? |

I know! I'm so excited. That she can become even less likable seems like such an unreal, almost impossible task, but if anyone can do it, it's Cow! |

Shoppergal, you remember the chubby guy who lost a lot of weight? And Tony, Jr. caught him having a blow job on the construction site and the guy was terrified Jr. would talk to Sr. and tell him? |

nope icy - isn't ringing a bell...was it a big story line? I wish the Sopranos was available for streaming on Netflix. I would totally watch it again - I remember the big story arcs, but obviously not the ancillary stuff :) |

Towards the end of the show, IIRC. In real LIFE the actor lost the weight, through surgery, so it became a story on the show. He was a top earner, so Tony was conflicted whether to do anything about the rumors when he heard them. Then the other side killed the guy and took the question out of Tony's hands. |

Vito. His name was Vito Spatatore [sp?] It was Meadow's boyfriend who caught him giving a bj and Vito implied that that he was as good as dead if he said anything. The next season he was outed at a gay bar when some wiseguys from the NY family [the one run by Phil Leotardo] were there making collections. He went on the run/into hiding someplace like Vermont or New Hampshire where he fell in love with the short order cook/volunteer fireman 'Johnnycakes'. Bored with small town life Vito left Johnnycakes and went back to NJ to get his old life back. He contacted Tony but he had 'disgraced' the family. Like oleander said, Tony put a hit on Vito but before it was carried out Phil and his goons brutally killed Vito. Then the goons were making cracks about NJ mobsters being gay and so Silvio killed one of them for it. Yep. We were really into the Sopranos at my house. ^o) Edited by Cosmocrush, Jul 4 2012, 05:28 AM.
