I had heard an allegation (read an allegation- and I think we all saw it) that Teresa had not included the advance from her first book in their first attempts at bankruptcy mitigation; but I thought it was said this was a misunderstanding and had been rectified. This sounds CRAZY serious! You know I don't "like" them- but this is scary to me because of their Girls :( Sure puts things into perspective for me. I've been navigating so much paperwork post-Sandy and keep having little glitches. Gosh, it's really scary. I know this is not an Italian-American trait alone; but in John's family we would see distant relatives try to cut corners and get things free (like Al Manzo as Commisioner of Water with the Brownstone as his residence)- and it always seemed to blow up in their faces...

Maybe they can have a whole section of the prison for the RHNJ cast because I think Jac and Chris will be joining them next.
Next on Bravo...Real Housewives of Rikers Island!

Just saw this, and of course had to come here. I don't think I can watch these ppl anymore. All of them suck, and more than a few are actually involved in reprehensible activities. There is not one likeable character on this show anymore. Those are some serious charges - good luck to them and their girls. And they should prob keep a place warm for Cow and her hubby.

I may be totally corrupted by Bravo, but I don't care about this shit in so far as watching the show - they are shady people - really shady. Especially this crew.

I wonder if the feds are going after them to try and flip Juicy. Because of mandatory minimums in the federal sentencing guidelines, nearly all federal criminals cooperate now and rat people out. I wonder if this is an end run on the mob.

I know the IRS goes after celebs and they often don't end up in jail for failure to pay taxes, so I don't know if they will necessarily face jail time for the IRS stuff if they can come up with the back taxes. The wire/mail fraud is a way to get the mortgage stuff into federal court as opposed to state court. I don't think this stuff is worth the feds time unless they are after something bigger.

I think if the bankruptcy/fraud/signature stuff weren't in play, the AUSA wouldn't pursue - would settle re the taxes, audit mercilessly obviously. But that's what did it IMO. So for those reasons I think the Lauritas would be very smart to settle the bankruptcy as swiftly as possible.

Fin - ITA. It's not the IRS, they can't owe that much, it can be settled. I think it's likely connected to a larger syndicate issue specifically re Joe Giudice. Re Chris and Jax: the amounts dribbled and poured out of that company, robbing shareholders - that's serious shit, too, and I don't think they should dick around with this. They need to negotiate downward and settle, settle ASAP.

Oh just wouldn't it be funny if the AUSA is a Melissa/JoeGo fan? NJ is known for its corruption! ;)

Wow - just wow - I didn't think it was this bad and you know how much I despise them. Wire and mail fraud is the worst bc it goes federal. Loved the picture of them - I think they looked for the worst picture they had them being serious.

I also can't believe Tre's statement
“I am committed to my family and intend to maintain our lives in the best way possible, which includes continuing my career,” she said.

Shuddup already. You see although she means one thing it sounds like another -maintain our lives - in other words it sounds like - maintain our lifestyle in our huge McMansion with the benefits and everything I can get for my kids - clothing, classes, etc. Instead I think she meant we could live and eat. Not good Tre. I'm not sorry and I hope you both get what's coming to you. Lying sack of crap. She signed those papers and no matter how stupid you say she is she knew what she was doing.

Camo you make a really good point about Chris and Jac. Better clean that shit up real fast. I wonder if BLK was really a venture to hide the money they skimmed from Signature Apparel.

I know Juicy is old school and wouldn't rat, but you gotta do what you gotta do. See Renee's husband on Mob Wives.

That earlier article (and it's questionable if it's true, as in written by someone who really knows these people vs. random people just giving their opinions on how they think things have gone down over the years) said that Juicy's house flipping business was all run based upon his connections. And if his connections were (are?) mob ones and involved bribes, you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours types of deals, all of these lawsuits and indictments could be simply a way to force him to rat others out. Not that he didn't do the shady dealings that he's accused of, I'm sure he probably did (IMO! LOL) but he's small potatoes to the gov't. Especially if Chris Christie hates Al Manzo as much as that article made it seem like and especially if Al Manzo is connected to the mob the way that article made it sound like, I could see Juicy's choice being between federal prison or turning informant.

Andy and Bravo probably don't know right now if they should be giggling with excitement over these new storylines or if they should be crapping their pants over Bravo getting dragged into federal court.

The use of BLK on the right hand to hide what the left hands were up to with Signature Apparel makes sense to me, Fin.

Andy will keep on trucking I guess? Remember in our days of innocence when we thought Russell's suicide would send a show, maybe, or at least get him to get rid of the relevant Housewife?

Camo I still can't believe they didn't get rid of Taylor. Then again if he did it would appear that Andy had no heart. Firing a Ho when they were in a bind and had no money. Now her affair with a married man was played down or in actuality played up - "Look how awesome I'm doing! I'm in love with a married man and he loves me!" As if this was the moral thing to do and put it all on national TV too and make it appear to be the right way to do it. Like- Taylor you're a star and so great for you. You made it through the suicide and now you have a man you love etc etc - never mentioning his family he left behind. God those editors.

The New York Post's take on the fraud.

This is scary. How did they think they'd get away with this.

I don't watch Jersey anymore, can't take the endless drama.
