Velvet, I agree with all that you said. I'm not looking forward to hearing about this. I know I shouldn't, but I feel really bad for them. It sucks for them because there doesn't seem a way they can skate by. Not even sure I can watch the rest of the season knowing this.

Shopper, I hear ya. I feel so behind on my ho-wives stuff.

Even though we all these people were criminals I was still rather stunned to see the Feds willing to make an example out of these thugs. The slow hands of justice isn't just an expression. The idea someone (sorry, been reading quickly to catch up) posted about trying to get him to make a deal might be true.

Either way, like you all said, this is serious shit. And I just can't help but believe the Manzos are involved in some way, some how. Because as guilty as I believe Juicy and Tre are - I hate Clownie and her fambly more and would love to see them go down this way.

I kind of feel like I used to about The Sopranos. Tony and Carmella were horrible people who did horrible things to other people and yet I always felt torn when they were about to get caught. I think in this case I feel for the little girls who have done nothing but entertain me all these years.

I feel the same way, Cosmo. I read a post on Instagram about the indictment and someone commented "I'm so happy!" Really? This is what makes you happy? Maybe the commenter was Kim G.

ETA - but I reserve the right to snark about them!

Just looked at the indictment - because it can't be said enough: that is some serious shit. I just can't see them getting out without doing some time. Sad for those girls. It pisses me off that Melissa is probably beside herself with happiness.

Wow Kim G - I didn't know the bad blood was that bad but Tre and her must have had something off camera worse than on camera. God is she happy about this. Too bad we don't know why.

So I just watched TMZ and they made up a song about them to That's Amore. When you buy a new dress and don't pay IRS that's a MORON - there were a few stanzas. That's the one I remember.

Great googly moogly folks - yesterday was a hell day at work and I was up dealing with various fires until about 2am. So imagine my brain dead surprise this AM when I was getting dressed and saw this on the news. Sigh. I was gobsmacked and thought I was dreaming. It killed me all day to not be able to look up details at work. I can barely take a bio break at work let alone stop and read my howives gossip. Gone are those days. I have so much to catch up on...
I don't even LIKE them and I feel like that, too. Beyond shocked and sad- and just how???? Why? I really WAS thinking this was something where, you know, they could both make a deal and pay up- but the more I read, the less likely that seems. I just do hope that, you know- whilte collar crime- but I just feel for their Girls and hope Teresa does not go to jail. But whatever happens- I think the Girls lives will be greatly affected so badly, and that makes me feel terrible. If the indictment is true, it was soooo systematic and deliberate. What were they thinking?

I really think Joe G is a dum dum. I think the people they were hanging around with were all getting bogus mortgages. And their mortgage broker was probably complicit in the whole thing.

Teresa said after season 1 that the producers suggested to her to pay the people in all that cash. They thought it was funny. She really is stupid.

I think Teresa should have been paying people back the past few years. That would take a lot of the sting out of what they did. Or did she know this was coming down the pike and has socked away the $ knowing she would have to pay.

It really would be a conflict of interest for them to have the same lawyer. It wouldn't be done in a case like this. I think Tre is going to get off with restitution, maybe probation or a short sentence if she testifies against Juicy.

He can get deported. Any financial crime over $10,000 is deportable. Maybe he will literally "Go Away" to Italy.

The whole thing makes me sad. I think they live in an alternate universe when it comes to morality. Very Soprano like. It also really bothers me that those other hags - Melissa, Clownie, Jax and Joe Go are celebrating.

I know it's white collar crime and all but it's not like they falsified one form one time. It can't be blamed on them trying to keep up appearances for the show, this started 5 years before OC even came along and 7 years before there was a RHONJ. They started this in 2001 and kept it up until 2008. They filed for bankruptcy in 2009, which they then withdrew in 2011. So this is something that went on for at least 7 years, was done multiple times, and they got millions of dollars by doing it. They weren't using the money to pay for a kids heart transplant or just to stay afloat. They kept living in their ginormous house, went on about also owning a shore house, drove expensive cars, tweeted about going on vacation a zillion times. I can't even imagine how much Tre spends on self tanner every week.

It's sad to think of what this will do to their kids. Even what it will do to them even if they can manage to stay out of jail. They will have to start selling things and returning that money, paying fines, etc. I'm not sure that even Tre can hustle that much. But this wasn't one stupid mistake. Even if Tre wasn't the mastermind (and I'm sure she wasn't) surely even she knew that she never worked for those places yet she signed the forms that said she did.

How do we know they're celebrating?

I have a feeling they aren't celebrating, they're all crapping their pants that they're next.

Yeah, they're busy crapping their pants for sure, but I don't believe for a minute that these despicable multi-taskers aren't toasting the downfall of the Juicys tonight.

Though I continue to lump Teresa and Joe in with that pack of despicable human beings, I don't feel happy that she's going down, nor would I stoop to what Kim G is saying. Damn. That granny is going to hell. And they're all going to get their comeuppance. I don't care what kind of edit these hags and their husbands get. None are blameless and sooner or later they'll get what they deserve.

Sad for the girls.

I hope they're not celebrating. I could see Melissa feeling smug- but it doesn't seem as if any of them have any reason to feel superior. It seems as if the Gorgas "wealth" is non-existent, a house of cards waiting to fall down. What Chris Laurita did with his businesses looks similar; for any Big Brother fans, the same thing Mike Boogie is accused of- robbing your own business for your "lifestyle" and then declaring bankruptcy. Maybe he hid the paper trail better. That's what has shocked me most about this Guidice thing- besides it starting really soon after they first married- is that the paper trail is so big and wide. I said originally Teresa alone obtained 2 loans. I was wrong- she obtained FOUR- alone- he obtained more. For not even being a citizen, Joe was doing well- making close to $200k a year. My Husband's best years in construction- we made $140k- and we had an awesome lifestyle- all legal and paid for. Sad they had to go down the road they chose. At this point I won't be surprised if this is the end of the franchise. Teresa was by far the favorite, and even her most zealous fans are turning on her today. I feel sorry for the Guidice Girls and for Tree's parents. Joe Guidices' Mom is a piece of work- I thought she was gonna deck somebody! One of the Father's (Teresa or Joe's) bent over and showed his ASS to the camera at their house (with his pants on :)

So the business Tre submitted a W-2 from saying she worked there as an executive assistant was Modern Era Investments. I was trying to look it up to see if the company is still around and what do you know? Juicy's current construction company is called Modern Era Building & Construction. Juicy owns G&G Stucco.

If Tre does jail time RHONJ is up the creek. We know I don't really like her but the show would be a snoozefest without her. I doubt Tre would ever allow the RHONJ cameras to follow her to court stuff.

But would she allow the children to continue filming if they were sent to live with Joe and Melissa or Juicy's brother? I think she would because would we agree that:

The kids are entertaining
Teresa's a famewhore
She'll need the money
Andy has no problem exploiting children

I think that's the only way to save the franchise because without the Juicys, everyone's storyline goes in the crapper.

Milania to the rescue.
