Yes, right on, Oleander. I do like Dina, though I think her zen stuff is indeed bs. We did see a different Dina on that wedding show. She was very avaricious. I'm guessing she's not all that into romantic relationships. She just like her stuff and her daughter and her cats and her gays and she's happy. |

Dina is such a fraud. She is probably the biggest one. Actually she's probably the reason the Manzo's ever got into reality TV. Think about it. She did the wedding show and was already in the mix. Bet she brought the rest of her clan in. After she decided to leave - for what ever reason - she was pissed as all hell since they didn't follow her lead. Dina I got your number. |

Tree posted on FB that she's going to open or be at some lounge this weekend and was getting slammed and someone asked her "where were you on Sept. 11 and why aren't you posting about THAT?" and 20 minutes later she did. I can't see what she posted because you have to accept the app and I won't do that on FB, but the picture is a 9/11 show of support picture. That ghost-writer is quick! ;) |

Listen, I just posted my long 9/11 story over on the News thread, so I get it but....... Does anyone really think Tre would have anything to add to the discussion or even have deep, long lasting feelings over the event? She ain't deep. I am sure like most of us that day she was saddened, maddened and confused. It has been 12 years however. 12 years in which she has been married, had four children, committed (allegedly) multiple felonies and built a mausoleum entirely of onyx. I can see how commemorating 9/11 may have slipped her mind. Slapping up an image of the towers on Facebook or Twitter doesn't make her, or anyone else, a pious patriot. Or conversely, not slapping up an image doesn't mean you haven't remembered the day. |

ITA Dilbert, but I do have to say when Brandi's first tweet of the day was, "My boys won't up." I kind of felt like ooh Brandi, it's 9/11, and she is on the West Coast. I think Luann had a tweet before she acknowledged it too. But no big deal. Like you said, posting about it doesn't make you better or worse than the average Joe next to you. |

I disagree-- if you're connecting to the world, to ignore a big event/anniversary is like saying "my shit first" ... regular people can do that, but not these people who are asking for admiration and endorsement from all of us. Conversely, I have a friend who lives in Portland who posted all kinds of inane happy stuff today, how his students make him happy and his dog is the greatest ... I was semi-pissed because the rest of my feed was filled with people honoring the day and the people who were killed -- people with dogs, people with children, people just like my friend -- and I didn't say anything to him, but to be honest, I'm still seething. I know WWII vets who still won't do "fun" things on December 7th and they get a bit upset when people around them don't seem to remember that's Pearl Harbor Day. I guess it's personal, what affected you ... but right now, 12 years later, we are SURROUNDED by people who were affected directly and indirectly and living in a country that has suffered for all those 12 years because of that day. Just because your life is cosy doesn't mean you should ignore the pain everywhere else. I mean, what the fuck is he teaching those kids? Extreme Narcissism 101? |

Icy, I'm glad you didn't say anything to your friend because it's possible he did something in class with his students yesterday and just chose not to take his feelings or memories public. Every single house in my neighborhood - 70 - had a flag somewhere in the front yard yesterday. There are a handful of houses that don't participate in ANY of our neighborhood stuff but we put miniature flags in their lawns and then, those of us who could make it, filled the neighborhood restaurant for breakfast to discuss where we were that day and to raise our coffee mugs to the heroes and victims. I wore an obnoxious American Flag shirt all day. It was the topic of family dinner last night, as Lil Rye was only 3 when it happened, doesn't remember but we're making sure he never forgets. His school did a moment of silence and then a discussion in History class. But, like your friend, I didn't talk about it on any social media. My grieving for that day is very personal and I commemorated in a way that was tangible and meaningful to me. If someone had questioned why I hadn't honored the day on Facebook, I'd be furious. My point? Everybody grieves differently. Maybe your friend did but it's not obvious to his Facebook friends. Maybe he posted happy stuff because he felt he needed that light. Wanted to share the light? I dunno. I'd hate to think those motherfucking terrorists could be indirectly related to you losing a friend. One more win for them. That said, finestra; "My boys won't up?" WTH. LOL. Scurries to Brandi's twitter. |

Nah, you're nice, Rye, but I know this guy -- he didn't think more than 2 seconds about 9/11. He's been self-centered forever and I think I need to look at myself and ask "so why are you friends with him" and if the answer is anything besides "because he's friends with all your friends" then I need to give him another chance. But I suspect it is only because he's friends with my friends and that's my bad. I guess if I look into what I suspect motivates him psychologically (a hobby of mine, LOL) then I could say he's very insecure. He's the kind of FB friend who never comments on your stuff or seems to see it at all, not even the huge announcements. But he posts constantly and has lots of students and friends who reply to everything he posts. Everything is dramatic. So ... I could have some pity for him. I guess I do. In a snarky way. ;) Got my humor back. Yesterday was sadder than I'd have expected 12 years out, but in some ways it gets harder as more time passes. Oh, I guess because there are more and more adults who were kids then who weren't affected and want to move on to "more important" subjects. |

According to Famewhorgas (which you have to take with a grain of salt because it is so anti-melissa/pro tre) Penny the Greek's wife is saying that Bravo is editing her in a way to make it look like she said Teresa is behind all of the Melissa cheating rumors:
The funny thing is that they would all have been there and heard Penny say it, so it will be interesting to see if Melissa plays victim again in her blog based on how Bravo edited/aired it rather than what actually happened at the event. |

And fortunately for us, she would have made that decision long ago, before Penny came out and revealed the lie -- so she'll be caught being dirty! |

Teresa tweeted a photo from a celebration for Audriana's bday. It looks like the realtor with the funny voice was there on the right hand side. http://instagram.com/p/eVOUehSKzM/ |
