Also from TMZ.

Sources connected to the production tell TMZ ... they are currently filming season 6 and they will EXPLOIT the legal woes of Teresa and hubby Joe Giudice -- who himself faces 4 years behind bars.

We're told the season will be wrapped before the pair is sentenced, but producers are going at warp speed to get everything in the can with the Guidices ASAP.

The only problem will be the reunion show. Producers are worried Teresa and Joe might be in the slammer by the time they shoot that show -- which is done last.

Is it wrong of me that I want Kim G. to go to jail for 50 years?

I'm kind of torn. I think Tre is a complete idiot, hardworking, and a good mom. I really doubt she could balance a check book, let alone understand shady (but very common) mortgage maneuvering. Also, she's so "old world Italian" and so is Joe, there is no way in hell she would ever question her husband, or refuse to do something he asked her to do, or question him about finances (that is the MAN'S job.)

It's like putting a child in jail, does anyone really believe she had a choice or even understood what she was doing? Yeah, I know, ignorance of the law is no excuse. It just doesn't feel like "justice" to me if she does jail time. Joe? Hell yes. Restitution and giving up her "lifestyle" and using her Bravo and book and appearance earnings to pay back what they owe? Absolutely. Probation, or weekend jail time? Probably.

So torn.

I don't know if she'll get jail time but I think if she does, they'll stagger it so they don't serve at the same time. I think Joe will go to jail first. Tre is the one with the current income from Bravo and is likely to keep that income coming if she isn't sent to jail now. Juicy really doesn't have any way to make a legitimate income AFAIK. I saw another more detailed story somewhere (I think at FW) that said that Tre had to pay $200k today and will have to pay more (at sentencing or it will be laid out what's to be paid at sentencing?). They stand a better chance of at least some restitution getting paid if she stays out of jail for the time being. I hope at the very least there is a court ordered trustee to oversee the Giudice finances and basically put them on an allowance and directly pay the creditors. And to also ensure that all income is legit.

Kim G better watch herself - I think those Jersey folks all have dirt on each other.

Willy I bet you are right, Teresa is probably waiting for this season's salary to continue paying off her fine. How much do they still owe? I know the bank sold off a bunch of the properties that had mortgages on them. Are they still at $11 million.

Mariah I do think she is an idiot after she tweeted congrats to Nene this morning for making DWTS. Really? On the morning that you are on your way to court to take a plea to federal fraud charges and you are tweeting Nene Leakes?

I think Tre is in denial. I honestly believe she believes this 'could happen to anyone" as she's said in the past; because most of that whole crowd does similar shit. She doesn't really even seem to understand it's a big effin' deal.

Others may be considered criminals as well but on such a lower scale they don't even rate.

Oh, I think Big Al Manzo's secrets would blow the Guidices' crimes out of the water. I've always believed he's connected/protected and still do.

ITA with your whole post Cosmo. I think she may even have company, well that is if she goes away! Juicy might find the Fidget, Chris L and Big Al right behind him.

Teresa is not a child, though, and I bet she understood they were building that awful monstrosity of a house with money they hadn't earned.

I haven't watched the show since season one, and I have read here that there are worse people (Gorgas) on the show. However, Teresa put me off immediately with how she let her children behave in a store and how she bragged about her "mansion." Also, I think I was a bit sympathetic to Danielle - she was no innocent bystander, but Teresa used mean-girl behavior against her.

There are so many mothers in prison separated from their kids - don't see why she shouldn't be one also. There are moms in jail for petty drug possession crimes, solicitation, etc. - but Teresa committed fraud as an adult, leaving contractors unpaid, from what I've read. To me, it was not such a personal crime but was against others who worked for them.

So I guess I'm on the side of her doing some time in prison. She'll probably be out soon enough.

From TMZ:

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars Teresa and Joe Giudice want to serve their prison terms separately ... so at least one parent can remain with their 4 children while the other is behind bars, TMZ has learned.

Teresa and Joe's attorney Miles Feinstein tells us, the couple will ask the judge to stagger their sentences -- i.e. serve them consecutively rather than concurrently -- for the sake of their four daughters (aged four, eight, nine, and thirteen). Their sentencing date is July 8.

I think Tre will get some kind of jail time. I just hope they don't let her serve it as house arrest.

Also, in the docs it looks like they'll be required to forfeit anything bought with the money they obtained with fraud? So presumably that means the shore house, the mansion, probably a lot of their furniture. Will they repo Tre's extensions and spray tan???
