Fin I remember that sick nj case with the sale of body parts. OMG. I think ther was an id show about it too T least one or two

I'm glad they didn't raid the house although I assume those kids got more gifts than any of our kids put together. Easy enough to have a relative buy a gift and pay them back in cash but they aren't the brightest bulbs. ThT is basic money laundering but on such a low scale nobody would care but for the fact they are in the media. They did choose this thigh and it made Teresa a ton of doe well in my book a ton. They still owe a lot of ,money. Jail time is a special addendum because of their stupidity and greed

Remember at the reunion when Jim bragged about bringing in $8.5 million dollars this year alone? Yeah, he was NOT EXAGGERATING, y’all! I know, I had to sit down, too.

It seems that although Jim seemed a little famewhorey and nutty at first, the guy is probably the only one on the show who REALLY is rolling in the dough and can afford to live the lifestyle these shows were meant to portray!

So, how by now we all know that Jim had made $1.6 million several years back for blowing the whistle on the cancer drugs that were bogus. Now, Jim has scored an $8.5 million paycheck for whistleblowing again! This time on Bank of America. Jim’s company was one of four to be included in a massive $170 million payout.

According to the Charlotte Observer, “Mortgage Now filed one of four whistleblower lawsuits that were rolled into the $16.65 billion settlement that the Charlotte bank reached with the U.S. Justice Department in August over the bank’s packaging of mortgage loans into securities, according to court and settlement documents.” Bank of America and Countrywide Financial were double-dipping by submitting reimbursement claims to the Federal Housing Administration for money they had already received from third-party lenders.

The other three amounts went to a former Countrywide Exec who got $57.6 million, a former Bank of American appraisal unit worker received $56 million and another worker who is on leave from the bank landed $48 million. So, Jim’s is peanuts in comparison, but still an impressive amount, nonetheless.

I know Jim was not a fan favorite this season, but what does it say that he and Amber are practically the only ones on the show with real money to speak of? I’m sure the Marcheses are laughing all the way to the bank. Hey! Jim could quit his company and stay home to focus on his other professional endeavor: Tweeting. And boy he can afford a LOT of sweater vests now!

This is an interesting read. I'm going to do a bit more checking on this guy and this scam after Christmas. I may have a few (cancer) connections that could know more of the back story. Now I'm curious, but don't want to do it now.

Jim biggest money making ventures seem to be whistleblowing.

It sounds like he was quite guilty himself. My connections didn't pan out, they knew of the company, but not the drug, although I did find some stuff on line about it.

Merry Xmas! Wake up Daddy! I wonder what's going at Chez Juicy Onyx? I am up early, waiting for the masses to muster. We agreed no Xmas before 10 a.m. this year. Amazing how when kids hit puberty they aren't so anxious to get up and race down the stairs! I guess we'll see the photos on Us Weekly or In touch or Teresa's go to rag. Brandi said they are filming or negotiating to film with Teresa. So is Joe hungover in his tshirt?

Yes. I know she has to do time, but I just can't find any glee in it. I feel so sad for her kids knowing that when they go to school tomorrow that their mom probably won't be there when they get home. Or even if she waits to leave until they get home. Whatever. Of course I get that she did the crime yadda yadda. But following her on twitter for the last few years, Teresa spends a lot of time with those girls. They are going to miss her. I don't think drunk Juicy is going to be able to be much in the way of emotional support.

There are all these rumors that they still haven't told the younger ones the truth. These two have to have IQs of 12.

I hope Joe just moves with the girls into his Mom's house or in with his brother and SIL. Or moves his Mom in with them. They are going to need someone to actually care for them and Joe ain't it. I wonder if he continually pawns them off on other relatives if the judge would or could make him report to jail now? Since the whole reason for staggering the sentences was so one parent could care for the children, if he isn't caring for them then what is the point if him not going to jail now?

ITA Willy. Joe Gorga and Melissa spent Xmas Eve with Teresa's parents. Something on the show that always happened at the Giudice house. I wonder what's going on with Teresa's parents. But since Juicy's dad died, it would make sense for his mom to help him out. Her home went into foreclosure too tho right? Crazy. How are they going to have money to live?

Good for Teresa - she left her home at midnight and reported at 3 a.m. to prison.
http://www.nj.com/entertainment/tv/index.ssf/2015/01/teresa_giudice_surrendered_at_3_am_she_was_ready.html#incart_m-rpt-1

There are going to be a lot of disappointed people who were expecting her to delay as long as possible.
