Nicholas looks just like Chris. Autism is a long haul, and early intervention is key. I hope she is doing all the therapies that he needs.
Therapy for autism is very time consuming. I wonder if Jax will leave the show in order to devote her time to him?

Why Lavalette? But then I guess the better shore communities wouldn't embrace the classic behavior of the Manzo clan. Not knocking Lavalette, but if I had real money, i'd hit Spring Lake or Deal, even Love Ladies. That's shore living.

I think Deal is totally orthodox now, Spring Lake is too high brow and they probably don't even know Love Ladies exists. At least they are on the barrier island and not on some inland waterway.

Is it wrong that I laugh every time I think of JoeGo saying "Ark-Ida" about Richie and Andy C getting all PC and changing the subject.

ETA - ISH you are so right about the therapies. It is a full time job and requires a lot of commitment and routine. And it takes a long time - like never ending.

Finestra I plan to still snark on Jax. I'm happy to start with her bloated face and almost Asian look in that picture.

Am I wrong (this isn't rhetorical, I'm really asking) that Chris saying you hope a kid is healthy means he thinks his son isn't healthy? I don't equate autism with physical health. Mental maybe, but still, it seemed like the wrong choice of words.

Velvet, you amaze me when you channel Clownie -- it's like you're in her head! LOL Very funny. You should start a mock-blog. PLEASE, start a mock-blog.

Call me the meanest, most suspicious bitch on the block, but this "my son is autistic" story smacks of "your sister has moved away; I have no story-line; who can I use now?" Autism can be on a range of mild to severe but one thing it also is, is not so tangible. It's hard to define. She says "he doesn't respond when someone says his name" ... shit, that's a lot of kids, many of whom are not autistic, just willful ...

I just think it's very convenient. Now let's count how many magazine covers SHE gets.

A co-worker has a son who has autism, and caring for that child is a full-time job. I guess it depends on how severe Nicholas' autism is, but for most parents it requires a lot of time devoted to not only doing the usual parenting, but therapy, special diets, and most importantly, a strict regiment. I don't see how Jaq can continue filming (particularly if it involves those vacations) under these circumstances.

blech - just weighing in on my disgust that the Clown got a book deal. And we are talking a 'real' deal not Jill or Silex's self printed vanity project right?
I, for one, am looking forward to all the tags you can put for her book on amazon. Remember Traylor's book and its accompanying tags? The possibilities are endless with Clownie.

But, other than that, I share in your disgust. What publishing house looked at her disgusting character as well as all the hate she's been getting and decided to give her a book deal?

As a person who makes her living writing books, having suffered the seemingly endless rejection letters, and worked my ass off doing the incredibly boring business of book marketing, I do not have the words to adequately express how much I hate these "celebrity" book deals. Clownie will most likely never put pen to paper or fingers to keypad yet will have a book produced with her name on it and will have doors opened for promotion of which the average writer could only dream. She will make more money doing nothing than I will ever make. Her book will take up space in a bookstore that should go to a legitimate author. She has never expressed any interest or talent in writing (not to mention reading), at least from what we have seen on the show.
I could go on and on, but I won't. Suffice to say it pisses me off.
Your post deserves a standing ovation. But at least Clownie's disgusting drivel only highlights the talent of true authors, such as yourself, dilbert.

I feel badly for Jaqueline's son, but I'm not going to stop snarking on that bitch. She's stupid, immature, and from what we've seen, an awful mother. That little boy deserves better. Maybe she will put away her years and years of makeup research and start with autism research. Or maybe not.

And, while I fully understand I may go to hell for this statement, I half expect her to be all, 'Nicholas has autism, but once he started drinking BLK spiring water, his motor skills got soooooo much better.' I wouldn't put it past her or the Manzos. And that is NOT flattering picture of her. Her skin looks botoxed so tight that it's going to tear.

ETA: sorry. I know I just made 3 posts in a row.

Does this mean we can't just snark on her for the awful person that she is?

On the contrary, full steam ahead!

My nephew is autistic and has Tourette's. The autism spectrum is very broad and can be almost totally without consequence to totally debilitating. Since Nicholas is seen in the photo embracing his mother and looking towards the camera, that is a very good sign that hopefully he is on the minor end of the spectrum. I wish him nothing but the very best.

Now on to his mother............my space in hell is fully reserved because when I read this news all I could think was, "Oh great, just another excuse for Cow to play the victim, wallow in self-pity, and be an awful parent." I am sure there is a rather large part of her, while distressed by the news on her son's behalf, is thrilled by the potential for attention this will bring her. She is all about the attention.....clearly, since she ran to People with this news. Why is this of any importance to anyone outside her family. The notion that this is something to go to the press about AND that it is something the press will run, shows how fucked up our definition of celebrity and/or news has become.

And just to gild that room waiting for me in hell - I think they should get Ashley evaluated for autism also because with many of her actions I would not be a bit surprised if she fell somewhere on the spectrum too.

When I read about Nicholas, I shallowly thought, fuck it, now we have to lay off Jax. So I am thrilled to see it is business as usual here.

Anyone want to bet Caroline secretly blames Jax's "weak genes" for Nicholas's issues? I mean the worst issue in her fambly is the Manzo fat gene, and thankfully only Lauren got that, the boys got all that is good and great from the Laurita side. Just another reason to hate Teresa.

Jax spends all her time researching what treatments there are for him? So IN TOUCH! and IN STYLE and the other tabloids are medical journals? I'm thinking if my kid were diagnosed with autism, the
last thing i'd be concerning myself with is a friend's reluctance to share her financial problems or spending my time reading her interviews in tabloids looking for veiled insults.

the Manzo fat gene,

Okay I'm having a bad day today and this really made me laugh, thank you!

Dilbert and Disco, move over. I want to be in that room in hell too. I will never stop snarking on Jax. And if she indeed has a "weak gene" that gave Nicholas autism, I'm willing to bet she picked it up sliding down the stripper pole in Vegas. Oh? You can't catch genes that way? Nevermind.

Caroline will blame Teresa. Big hearted, kind and naive Jax was distraught and caught up in her concern over her friend Teresa and her problems, so much so, that she didn't give Nicholas the attention he needed and was too distracted to notice he had issues. If Teresa hadn't sold all those stories to the tabs and had spilled her guts like a good friend should have to Jax, Nicholas would be normal like Caroline's kids.. Teresa is evil, evil, evil.

Velvet and Ish, you guys are killing me!

Knowing that Nicholas had this issue while they were filming season 4 makes me even more pissed at Cow. Your son is diagnosed with a serious neurological disorder and you're fucking worried about what's going on Teresa's life?! Fucking moron.
