Cosmo - I saw those at the store a couple week ago and looked at the price then said "I can do this at home for FAAAAAAR cheaper."
If I saw them at the store I would say "I can just go order these suckers at the Olive Garden!"

Ish too bad she doesn't have you giving her marketing ideas. I would have bought the little shot glass kit.
If she uses my idea as her second attempt at success, I want a cut. Plus we'll know she's reading this board.

It also amazes me what people buy but I suppose that's what those marketing people do online. Now I've never bought anything on HSN or QVC but I remember the woman who did it on the Amazing Race. I couldn't stand her. They do sell stupid products to a lot of people who sit there and watch it and cannot help but dial in. It's probably like those daily Groupon goods. Save 200 bucks on cheap jewelry. Can't say I haven't been tempted myself but have yet to dive into the pit to hell.

I actually think K will do well simply because of her so called "fame". I doubt it will last unless it's pretty good and she comes up with a follow up product. I'm sure she got the deal bc of her housewife status.

I love Shark Tank (anyone else?) Laurie from QVC bought a guy's product that attached glasses with a magnet to your shirt or the like. I saw an update and he sold a friggen bundle of them.

.
Oh absolutely. And of course a main reason she wanted to be a RH besides being a famewhore, was so that Richie er, she could cash in.

But just being a ho-wife isn't enough anymore. Exhibit A: The truckload of unsold books by Jill Zarin.

I love Shark Tank, too!

Doesn't Richie own some convenience stores? Why didn't she try selling her stuff there?

The comments on Kathy's bravo blog aren't so good either. 10 anti-kathy then 1 positive one. I don't get how Bravo can ignore this, it seems like 90% of what I see/read thinks Kathy / Jax / Caroline / Lapband / Melissa are liars and shit-stirrers. I really hope they shake up this cast next year. I'm dunzo with the manzos.

There is a spin off of the Lynn in Chicago site that members there started. They spell out the producer stuff that was linked to in SH and that Whorgas stuff.

Yesterday – Will Love sent this tweet to a few bloggers and other folks. It appeared in the blogs in the morning.

“@AutumnLeaves61 Andy Cohen does play a role in the editing process. He has said so directly in interviews. With that said, overall @yourfriendkitty and @carolineself have the most editing power. They are the executive producers of Season 3 and Season 4 of #RHONJ. They work on location and off location. They send the editors what footage to use as well as tell them what to keep in and what to cut out. @carolineself is tight with the Manzos while @yourfriendkitty is tight with the Gorgas and Wakiles. Cat edited @PDKhair as well as multiple ex-coworkers of Melissa’s, who were present at the salon and fashion show, completely out of the two-part finale. Their interactions made the Angelo incident look g-rated. Obviously that move was deliberate. Furthermore, Cat held Penny back from defending Kim when Joe Gorga called Kim a drug addict, a c**t and went to punch her. Even worse, as you will see in the finale, Cat completely butchered the conversation Angelo had with a friend at the bar to make it appear as though Teresa masterminded everything. The unprofessionalism of Cat Rodriguez and Caroline Self is disgusting. In this economy, why are these the type of people who have employment? Only a network like @BravoTV would believe that their viewers are so incompetent that they wouldn’t see past the blatant bias. Take note @stoopidhsewives. Take note @WetpaintTV. Take note @allabouttrh. This is the real reality.” http://tmi.me/x2SW7

Basically – this Will Love says that a producer – Cat Rodriguez who goes by the twitter handle @yourfriendkitty – edited a scene to make it look like Teresa is responsible for the setup of Melissa. We will see this scene next week.

I checked on @yourfriendkitty’s twitter account and it’s locked down, but it does say that she’s an executive producer of reality TV. And she clearly is a friend of Melissa’s.

None of this is new. Bloggers have reported the close relationship between producers and cast for the last year. Setting up drama for the Porsche fashion show is business as usual for this show. Bringing in someone to expose Melissa’s past – dramatic but not too big a stretch. Blaming it on Teresa? That’s a new one – but not inconceivable. Only no one seems to be playing along this time. New Jersey just doesn’t know how to keep a secret.

Have they gone too far this time?

For Bravo, it doesn’t really matter what happened that night; it only matters how viewers react, or if their cast has had enough and pulls out.

New Jersey is a ratings block buster for Bravo – yet ratings for Sunday’s episode were down 7 percent. Still far and above NY – but season finales usually bring in big numbers. Could viewers be smelling too much of a scripted setup? Has too much been leaked about this episode for viewers to care?

For the cast – we’ll see. Jacqueline Laurita was ready to walk away a year ago but seems to have had a change of heart. I’m pretty sure they need the money. I doubt Teresa Giudice is worried about her relationship with her brother any more; they haven’t talked for a year. She definitely needs the money and exposure to sell her stuff. Dina Manzo and Danielle Staub seem to be lobbying to get back on the show. Caroline has a book coming out. She’s probably not leaving unless they push her out.

In a few weeks the dust will settle, Bravo will crunch the numbers, and know if this paid off or not. My guess is it will have. There’s just something about those Jersey girls. But maybe not. All of the housewives shows have declining numbers. Perhaps this is the beginning of the end.

I would love for Bravo to reedit the finale now that these leaks have come out. Wouldn't that be a kicker - to edit it after the reunion taped so that Melissa and crew were locked into their stories, only to reveal that Teresa wasn't involved.

If they did that - and I would LOVE it - it would signal the end for the Manzo/Laurita/Gorga/Wakiles ... is that too big an axing? It's been reported that Andy feels he should have axed the entire NY cast ... I don't remember where I heard that, maybe it was one of Jill Zarin's lies. IN any case, Tree is the only one who has any draw, right? Other than to gay men who go to dance clubs, because if Gregg is any indication, Missy has her followers in that realm. But who is Cow's audience? Clownie has tried at radio and now is writing a book, which may eclipse the disaster that was JZ's book, if the comments pre-publication at amazon.com are any indication ...*

What is left for this show? I'd think twice before watching another season of Everybody Hates Teresa. -- Maybe this is why they lumped the two seasons together in filming - so the audience wouldn't walk away because they didn't get the message that we (most of us) all hated Season Three's pile-up. They know we know when it was filmed and that gave them a bar to skate under to lump it all in one set, split into two showings ...

Arrrrgh, who knows? (Is it still Talk Like a Pirate day?)

*ETA: I forgot to mention Kathy ... which tells the story without me going back. Anyone like her?

I have been popping in and out of the Tw0p thread periodically this season. When Clownie and jax beatdown Gia in the basement, the responses over there were basically split, many thinking that Clownie had the right to berate/discipline Gia and that Gia was a disrespectful brat and those who felt Clownie was out of line. Boy has the tide turned - no one, except a diehard emerald rose seems to be on board with the Manzos any more. Some people still hate Tre, but no one is liking the producer driven reality shit.

Is it unbelievably coincidental that the Manzo-loving producer is named Caroline Self?

That's why I have largely NOT watched this season. I've seen an episode or two here and there and I watched the first part of the season finale (and will watch the second part). But this stupid season was damn near 20 episodes long. TWENTY! Anyone remember when they were 6 episodes a season?

Anyway, I skipped a lot of Jersey and found I didn't miss it a bit because I just didn't care to watch the Teresa pile on.

I still can't stand tre but as I said I equally despise the rest of them. I missed some episodes. It's too many

As for the drop in ratings - well come on - it's a 4 day weekend with holidays in NY and NJ with schools closed. So many people went away or didn't watch because it was the first night of the holiday. 7 percent is not a bad drop considering that. Probably lots of DVR tapings.

Good point Icy. This production manipulation is getting old. Even dumbass Tre has to be getting tired of being the punching bag.

These are people that for the most part interact regularly anyway - so why not just let it evolve and that includes letting Clownie and her posse evolve right out the door. Seems simple enough - if you don't want anything to do with one of the castmembers then quit and since very few ho-wives have had the balls to leave voluntarily then Bravo needs to show them the door. Of course Clownie would never quit because what would her spawn do all day if not film?

I don't mind the long seasons - I prefer them really.

Yeah - the show can't continue the way it is...which I have to say I'm kinda sad about that.

I think they all need the money -probably even Clownie and Al now that they are downsizing. And Dina and Danielle are knocking at the door to get in with Juicy's sister in law. I hope Bravo would say, "Fine, you don't want to film wit Tre? Den dares da door." They would need a powersaw to get rid of the death grip that the Manzos have on this show.

The whole Caroline Fat Al downsizing sounds contrived. Last time she broached retirement with him,he told her to get a hobby, cause retiring isn't in his future. What's changed? I wonder if they will sell their half of the Brownstone to Tommy. Or is it all smoke and mirrors to explain Caroline leaving the show voluntarily or involuntarily. I just don't see her in a smaller place, what about family holidays, what if Critopher and Albie need to come back under Caroline's wing, what about Lauren? The dogs?
