Eh. I bet Bravo wanted it to be a surprise for drama. I also don't think Tre wanted anyone else to get famous in her family - I should say infamous. They all suck. The lot of them. Her show. She was there first so it's mine attitude. Not telling was yucky too. I'd have to shower if I ever met any of them
I completely agree ccc. Of course Bravo wanted to ambush, er surprise Teresa - it's great trash TV and Melissa [and Kathy] were all to eager to go along with it. They all suck.

The writer of her blog certainly spends alot of time explaining her side. I saw her appearance on The Spew and it seemed pretty self explanatory to me - except the part of her blog when she says she was contacted by The View to appear with Kathy and Melissa but "passed". Because she didn't pass at all. She still showed up - just got her own six minute interview, which I don't have a problem with but she shouldn't pretend otherwise. If she didn't want to go then she didn't have to go. Clownie and Jax passed. Hell - Jax passed on the S3 reunion without repercussions.

This cracks me up. It's from Tre's blog - this is how she explains the vast difference between her dumb self on TV and her fine writing skills:
Quote:

It's hard to get your thoughts straight when you're being interviewed for TV -- especially when you're trying to talk to 5 women at once like on The View and there are no "retakes." If you've ever done a live or even taped television segment, you know how much is going on and how overwhelming it can be, but I think I'm getting better! But I'm always much better at writing what I think because you're not on the spot, you can take your time, and there's the wonderful delete button! So here goes...

The other two passages that stood out in this lengthy blog post were:

"...This is my life and my livelihood. It's not like you just started shopping at the same grocery store. Why keep it a secret if you weren't up to something not good?"
Livelihood? Really? Since when are these shows supposed to be a livelihood? Sure, I know it often works out that way but that's why the first season of any ho-wife franchise is the best - it's about their lives not their "livelihood." Because of course if Teresa and Juicy were really as well off as they pretended on S1 - you know the one where she pulls out a wad of cash to make a down payment er, pay for everything then she could have just walked when Melissa showed up. Or she wouldn't be so pissed anyway. Because it should be like the hated SIL suddenly discovering your favorite shopping place, not showing up at your job.

And finally, [this is getting as long as her blog] this part says it all:

"I can't wait to start filming Season 5 so we can finally deal with everyone's crazy face-to-face. It's easy enough to be a tough guy behind my back, but let's do this out in the open."
She is securing her spot on S5 with the promise of high drama, her nasty temper, [see hair-pulling, table flipping, etc.] and built in grudges.

Cosmo, I read that as the View wanted her and Kathy and Melissa to have a family make up/reunion ON THE VIEW and THAT is what Teresa passed on. As I would have in her place. That shit does not belong in front of a panel of useless hags.

Ahh, that makes more sense Momo. Imagine though if she would have passed on the appearance altogether - what in the world would Melissa and Kathy have to talk about?

It is her livelihood now though. Joe has fucked them up royally financially. I think the only real money coming in is from Theresa's show, and the resulting sales of her cookbooks and whatever.

I think Kathy and Melissa are assholes, who sold away their family for the fame/bucks for the blindside Bravo wanted. Their innocent act annoys the fuck out of me. I mean, just fucking OWN it if you are going to do it. I wouldn't have a problem with them if they were being honest here, or as honest as Bravo would allow.

"Yeah, we didn't tell my (cousin/sister-in-law) because Bravo wanted it to be a surprise. There have been issues in our family, and I'm sure you will see them addressed on air. Frankly, the offer was too good to pass up. I really want to become a (singer/cookbook author) and in this economy we can all use the salary too. This is a chance to help our families and ourselves, so we took it."

It's the whole gang-attack (for Bravo) and blind-siding a family member (for Bravo) and capping it off with lying about it and playing the victims here that puts me reluctantly, but completely on Theresa's side here. Also? I believe her, and I don't believe them. They are destroying a family for money and fame. Period.

Tre's ghost writer is good. I honestly didn't pick up the conflicting statements between Missy and Kathy re the confidentiality statement etc. So ghost writer must do more then just take Tre's statements and clean it up b/c I can't believe Tre would have picked up on that. Wonder if 'ghost writer' is actually an assistant or someone who travels with her. Not necessarily the same person who does her books. He/She seems to pick up a lot, only things that someone in her inner circle would.

I keep thinking that she is the one who does the books because she really captures Theresa's "voice" but cleans it up. I thought it was the same one Bethenny uses, but it's Heather Macclean.

Well then Tre can quit the show if she didn't want to destroy her family as well. It works two ways. I don't believe any of them because things weren't great before the show either. How absurd that she is waiting to film to confront them? She is so stupid that even the ghost writer wrote how FAKE the show is.

Honestly the show has been quite boring. They cannot even create drama with all the BS they are trying to do. Both parts last night were a snore.

Tre had already signed when they surprised her with the vipers Kath and Mel.

I don't think she's in a position to quit, it's probably the only money they have to live on.

Agree that it's boring though. It's always boring when the shows do the gang up crap. YAWN

Exactly cccharley. That's the real reason she hasn't talked to them for nine months - no cameras around. Absolutely nothing was stopping her from trying to make peace all this time. Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthdays, etc. have come and gone and yet these ridiculous women maintain their silence, nursing their anger and outrage to save it for the when the cameras return - which I guess is S4 reunion.

Yup! Tree ain't exactly the Miss Innocent she'd like everyone to think she is and the problems in her family didn't start the day Melissa and Kathy signed up. I'm sure that didn't help things but that family has been FUBAR'd for quite awhile.

I think Tree should agree to go to physical therapy so that they will all quit acting like Heckle and Jyde. After all, that's what Princess Kate Hudson would do!

I saw this at Crazy Days and Nights:
http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2012/06/melissa-gorga-joe-gorga-are-really.html

Quote:

Many people around the world owe way more on their homes than they are worth, but Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga of Real Housewives-New Jersey may just have it the worst. On a house they are currently trying to sell for $500K they owe over $2M. Yep. It turns out that Joe thought he could make a fortune in the construction business so he took out a bunch of loans and one of the loans was for $2.25M and he used a house as collateral. So, the house which probably would have been paid off by now has no chance of ever getting paid off and the Gorgas are selling it in a short sale. Well, now we know how he managed to live so well all these years. Construction loans. Everyone was getting them when times were good and flipping houses, but if you didn't build anything with the money you got and just spent it all then it makes it much harder to pay everything back.
