Oh, I despised that hoarder. "Where are my curtains?" My DVR cut off the end so I don't know how successful she was in the long run, my guess, not much. I would have walked out at the armoire request. At least the other woman was grateful. After the first shot of the poo, I averted my eyes everytime they mentioned bathroom. |

No bathroom issues on Hoarding Buried Alive this week!! Saw a preview for next week's Hoarders. The daughter is threatening to expose the mother's "fresh egg" business. And that is why I never buy food at bake sales....and I loathe pot luck dinners. |

That Anna was a hoot. The show never did explain her hoarding. She mentioned her mother's dying two years ago, but she was at least 50 or more. And once she got started cleaning, she seemed to have no attachment to any particular thing. Odd. The book couple's husband drove me nuts. Lording it over everyone with his so called over 200 IQ. They had 26 rooms in that house. I wonder if the toilet seat was covered with books. We never saw it. |

OK...I didn't have high hopes for the lady with the rotten eggs or the one who was married to the biker serving a life sentence...so I was pleasantly surprised this week! |

Awesome "where are they now" episode of Hoarding: Buried Alive. One woman said that she couldn't get rid of purses because they were her sister's...and then her husband told the therapist that she didn't have a sister. Then the hoarder tried to lie and say that they don't talk about the sister because the husband had slept with her. Damn, they must have been fabulous purses to lie like that. The "Lisa", perhaps? |

Nah, whiny and dull. I suppose he was mentally ill, but wasn't sure about his crying, moaning fits. |

I know this is weird...love Hoarders, hate Hoarders: Buried Alive. I just don't like the format of the show. |

I'm with you, Shopper. One of them I like better...the other one they show a lot of the hoard, and then all of a sudden everything is clean. Can't remember which is which. |

I think that's the Buried Alive - they don't focus alot of the cleanup. That's what I wanna see. I wanna see sail cats dammit. |

Weaver - Matt Paxton's book is interesting. He's the Clutter Cleaner who interacts a lot with his fans on Facebook. I think he coined the term 'sail cat.' I heard him on a podcast and he's hilarious (it was Jay Mohr's and Jay is a big fan of the show so Matt was giving some dish) so thought I'd get the book from the library. The book isn't dishy, but rather details the disorder with case studies, but still was a quick read. I think I reviewed it months ago on the book thread. He's not a psychlogist, but gives good insight based on his years of clean ups. |
