So disappointed Kate was sent home. I really hated Alexandria's look -- funny with my last posting here about the poopy pants, but I fucking hated that skirt and the vest looked like a leftover scrap of leather that was safety-pinned on. How did THAT end up in the middle? She's becoming the Gretchen of the season for me.

Okay, I think I quit on this season. How they could clump Justin in with Helen and Alexandria as having to battle it out for the final spot was beyond understanding. His looks last night were head and shoulders above Helen's and Alexandria's.
I am tired of this bullshit manipulation. Two of the judges, the two that actually work in fashion, said Alexandria needed to be aufed, but Heidi, whose taste is dubious at best and should confine her fashion knowledge to walking on a runway, likes her so she stays?
And the whole, tired, so overdone fight it out for the final spot business? For cripes sake, soon the entire show will consist of Tim visiting all 16 of the initial contestants in their homes as they prepare their runway collections. Why not? They already have the last, what 6-7? designers making collections as decoys.
BAH! I want my old, fun Project Runway back.

I thought Justin was a shoe-in, too -- BUT he was aufed! Tim saved his ass. And Helen won four challenges! So I can see them vacillating and deciding to put them through their paces. Besides, for years now we've known that the last 10 or so all make collections and show at Fashion Week -- but only the final three air on TV. So they're spending the money anyway. If they want to make the contestants freak out a bit, no skin off my nose!

I've never cared for Alexandria's stuff that I remember, but I was touched by her Skype and the reveal of her home/avocation life. Plus, I hate the "why should you go and who should go with you" part and I wish some of them had refused to answer the second part.

To be fair, when they looked close at Justin's avant guarde pieces, they were not well made. And Helen's was impeccable. Again, why Alexandria made it through, I'm not sure except why not.

I thought Helen's dress was terrible. Why did she abandon that black coat? I know Tim criticized it, but she could have modified it. Seemed avant garde, unlike the orange dress, that did not look good on the model.

They swooned over Bradon's (sp?) dress, but it looked to me as if it didn't fit.

I didn't mind Alexandria's creation. It was somewhat cutting edge.

Justin's dress didn't seem well made on close up.

I wanted Dom to win, loved both her outfits. Hope she gets a good job from this, even if she doesn't win. They seem to be targeting Bradon for the win.

Anyway, it seems more and more scripted to me. I doubt this was the very best finale ever seen on Project Runway the way they repeated a few times.

And Heidi's skirt did not fit her, it was pulling across the stomach, and the two side zippers looked dated. She has no taste at all.

Which one is def and which one has the beard? I can't keep 'em straight.

Anyways, re Helen - the tats don't disgust me as much as the talon like nails that she has (Stiletto nails- thankfully they are falling out of favor) and the ear plugs. Yuck yuck yuck.

I also don't care for Helen's designs, I hate that shredded technique - it made her model bulky. I think she's going to crash and burn when she doesn't have the work room to 'bounce' ideas off of.

Justin is the one with the chipmunk teeth and is deaf. Bradon is the one who looks like a college prof and has a beard and is gay and proposed to his boyfriend on the runway after he won a challenge.

Well I agreed with the judges. Helen's stuff was terrible. Couldn't believe it. That navy dress was amateur, did not fit, wasn't sewn well and wasn't original. And she kept saying red speaks for itself, well maybe for winter, but not for spring. I wasn't too wowed with Justin's either, don't know why the judges went gaga over it. But I thought Alexandria's stuff was spectacular. I just love that slouchy look, and that raincoat, silk and suede, I'd die to own a piece like that. Who says you have to have color on the runway? Calvin Klein and Narciso Rodriguez didn't do it for years and years. I hope her whole collection is good.

They dragged this show out too much. Poor Tim, he must have fallen on the subway steps. I felt so bad for him having to return to the workroom. Tim, take a CAB. You can afford it now.

Tim's just that kinda guy -- could take a cab, but has the energy and humility to take the subway. I love him more each year.

And Heidi came off well, IMO, liking Alexandria's stuff despite Nina's snobbery.... I don't need color from every designer, because why wear only one? Get color from someone else and your cool monotone suedes and slouchy pants from Alexandria. She looked much better for having some rest and I really admire her teaching kids to sew. That is awesome.

I was happy to see Helen go, and that's after supporting her for much of the season. Her stuff was AWFUL. I liked nothing I saw. That print was horrifying. Blue is a hard color anyway. And while I adore red, she did not invent it, so why did she think she could coast by using it?

Justin's great at innovation, but ... I hated that look of the vial dress, of the net underneath showing like on a bad wig. LINE IT!! For God's sake, line it and that's GONE.

Braden's stuff is very old-fashioned. I like some of it, but in the same way I still sort of like the fashions of DYNASTY.

Dom's stuff ... I haven't seen any! Did she complete ANYTHING before we saw her in NY? And then we saw nothing? WHAT THE HELL -- 90 minute show and nothing!

I don't remember seeing any of Dom's dresses. And you are correct, Bradon seemed to have dropped the ball. I didn't see anything interesting when Tim came to visit him.

I could see the young Lauren Bacall coming down the runway in Alexandria's clothes. Nina is nuts. Here is Alexander Wang's spring 2014 RTW. There is a smidgeon of color, but not much.

http://www.vogue.com/fashion-week/spring-2014-rtw/alexander-wang/review/#/collection/runway/spring-2014-rtw/alexander-wang/1/

I couldn't see anyone in Helen's clothes, they were a hot mess. Don't know why she thinks she is young and trendy.

Well, I would have given it to Alexandria, but Dom had a good collection, and I've liked her all year. As they said, Bradon's collection was really not cohesive. And I didn't like that opening look at all with the gold skirt. Justin's was better than I had expected, but it didn't wow. Hope Dom succeeds, she seemed really nice.

I think Alexandria will be hired by somebody for her type of look.

I'm getting sick of the "Tide pods," the "L'Oreal hair and makeup," and the "H/P design tool." They do all this product placement and then they do commercials too.

I would have given it to Alexandria, too. Dom's was the only collection, however, that got a "wow" from me with things on the runway seeing them for the first time. I just think Dom is very young and needs time to get to that place where she can produce reliably. Then again, what PR winner has been a serious designer in the real world? A lot of them, and contestants who didn't win, sell clothes I'm sure -- Malan Breton is the most successful and he got sent home third! So Dom doesn't need to do anything but show up for finales in the future to fit right in with the other winners.

On another note -- I'm thrilled how easy it is for PR to have a woman win. If only TOP CHEF had been that way, I'd still be watching it.

ETA: Justin's "unconventional materials" challenge dress was really noisy, I think. I know his theme was about hearing, but no woman would want to clink that much as she walked around a party, IMO.

Christian Siriano is, so far, the most successful PR winner; perhaps of all the contestants too. I just read that somewhere...it's not like I have the occasion to buy designer clothes.

I liked both Alexandria and Dom and would gave been happy if either one of them had won

On a shallow note...is English Alexandria's second language? She has such on odd, stilted/screetchy way of speaking. And does no one on the Loreal Paris Makeup team have powder or blotting paper? Alex's forehead looked like an oil slick.

Dil, that's interesting -- I wouldn't have guessed but then again, I have seen his clothes on major stars. But Malan has show after show and his clothes are on famous people, too - maybe the key in that statement is "most successful PR winner" because Malan didn't win, not even close.
