ditto.
At one point we all had problems in life, no one got a pass for it.
I stick to classic designs as well. I mean when you are a 5'9 brick house....

Victor can stay, but they need to whack him in the face with the fan whenever he whips it out.

I like Michael usually, but that copper toreador jacket was awful.

It's Mychael!

I didn't like his outfit either, although the pants were OK.

Somehow if I were being judged by someone wearing a chartreuse romper outfit topped by a blazer with wings, I wouldn't much care what they said. And what happened to Bar Rafaeli, her makeup made her look so harsh.

I'm glad they squeeze some time in to show the clothes between the product placements for QVC, Mary Kay, the salon hair care (Altera???), and the new Lifetime show. Oh, and then there are the regularly scheduled commercials.

This season is epic fail for me.

Lol, how could I forget the 'y'?

Yeah, the in-show ads are ridiculous. And such low rent brands.

I suspect they kept all three last week just so Jeffrey could win one ... I don't know why, he's never had that tinge of "producer's favorite" ... I really thought Christopher was going to win. NOT that he deserved it. IMO Seth Aaron's coat was incredible. I thought Irina's top was trashy and the coat had too many elements, but her silhouette was great.

When they said "Desperately Seeking Susan" about Mychael's coat I LOLd. So true. He's so young, though, he may have been confused. ;)

I don't think he was sad to go. He's still not up to the level for this kind of thing. Neither was Daniel or Melissa or April though ... they are really sending them home in a good order. I'd be happy to see the last of Victor. I didn't watch his season and he's annoying on this show, what with no credit to Elena, then not picking her to go next after she did help him, and the fan snapping (hate it when Kenya on RHOA does it, too) -- he lost me long ago so I find myself wishing him gone.

Christopher, too, though I like him ... he's playing the underdog, being nice when he's really pissed and it's so phony ... goodbye!

Mychael is 35, that isn't young. If I were an aspiring designer, I'd spend every second reading old fashion magazines, renting every 30's and 40's movie and learning, learning, learning. I'm always surprised that these people don't always know past design history. His outfit was pretty bad.

Wonder why Irina is getting such an under the radar edit this season? I pretty much assume she doesn't make final three because they haven't featured her at all. I loved her clothes in her season.

I remember (but just vaguely) liking Jeffrey when he was on before.

I agree about the fashion history, weaver. I don't really get it. This information is readily available online. I read an interview with Polly Mellen, who apparently was one of the scarier editors ever at Vogue, worked directly with Diana Vreeland, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, etc. (scary she may be but she produced amazing work, like that image of Nastassja Kinski and the snake) -- as of 2012 or earlier this year she wanted to be a judge on Project Runway. I feel like she would scare the hell out of all of the All-Stars, excepting possibly Irina, Seth Aaron and Korto -- and contestants on a regular Project Runway season wouldn't even begin to know how to respond. (Imagine Ken or Helen from the past season facing a stony-faced judge who truly saw it all and was not easily impressed...ugh that would've been awesome.)

I really liked Mychael so much during his season and was disappointed that his final show just wasn't amazing - I don't know how big he wants to be, but I so wish he had a famous, curvy woman to dress in the manner in which he executed most of the season 3 challenges. He made so many beautiful things that started from that classic, American sportswear place like the best of Michael Kors or Calvin Klein from decades ago, but gave things great color or edge or fit appropriate for a different woman. He would be so great if her were designing for Viola Davis or Angela Bassett or one of the recent Bond girls, Berenice Marlohe.

Oh, Camo, funny you should mention Polly Mellen. I remember her. And last week I rewatched "Unzipped," and she is in it. Tough old bird. I imagine she is far too old for PR; they'd assume she knows nothing about today's fashions. I mean how could she, she's OLD! I remember she worked with Deborah Turbeville too; I used to love to look at Turbeville's photo shoots.

In Unzipped, you see how much influence movies had on Isaac. He used them for inspiration. I almost forgot how big he was in the mid-90's.

When I see Isaac, I think of him in FAME and I think of his off-off-Broadway one man show that I almost went to ... I regret not seeing it! He sang!

I forgot that. He plays piano in the movie. He's probably making more money now with his WVC stuff than he ever did with his designer wear.

weaver, I loved Unzipped! I love that bit where Amber Valletta was imitating Polly to Issac: "You. Just. Made. Fashion. HISTORY!" And I remember I really liked that collection, and the look he put on Shalom Harlow.

Oh, he had the best models. Amber Valleta was so young and pretty. And she had short hair, which I didn't remember. And Shalom Harlow (loved her), and a very beautiful Kate Moss and Cindy and Linda were there, and Christy seemed to come for a fitting but I didn't see her in the show. Even Naomi seemed human!

Amber had Polly down perfectly.

Its a movie worth watching. Fun.

Issac is a cool dude....but his presence on QVC really cheapens his 'image' for me. And I say that as a fan of home shopping. It's not his garments per-say, but the patter he has with the hosts. Shows how out of touch with common folk he is. It often also comes across as if he's seeing the designs for the first time when he's presenting them on air...if he's the 'designer' shouldn't he know what the patterns an colors are.

I loved his talk show - remember how he'd take questions at the end and sketch a solution to the fashion problem? He knows his stuff.

I'm going to have to check in. I used to watch a lot of shopping channels but no more. I've never seen him on the Q.

I guess the Q is pretty much his only gig these days. He doesn't show any more, I don't think. He fell out of fashion. One day you are in and the next day you're out.
