Is Gunnar the gay one with the two-tone hair? I thought he was very sweet. Ven really has tunnel vision doesn't he? Does he think a hoard of Victoria Beckham's will descend upon him with wads of cash? There's a ton of. Money to be made dressing "normal" women. |

I was surprised at Ven because I love his work. He didn't have any kind of vision for this person, did everything wrong. Whatever possessed him to create that ugly blouse. Her friend had a far better idea of dressing and styling and she was no size 6 either. He should have gone home. I guess they took his previous work into account, but I think they aren't supposed to do that. What the heck is with the ugly blue shiny sateen everyone is using. It looks horrible on everyone. |

This won't die! Ven is finished in the fashion world: http://theclicker.today.com/_news/2012/08/27/13509035-project-runways-real-size-model-show-was-adult-bullying-at-its-best?lite |

Great article. My Ven love is totally gone. I was really surprised that Heidi didn't lay into him more and call him out... but I suppose the judges didn't know how bad it was behind the scenes. I loved how Gunnar treated his client, and I hadn't particularly liked him before. I'm going to be watching the show with new eyes now, for sure. I can't remember the designer, but I loved the dress ( the shades of gray geometrical on the flannel plaid Asian girl) that he did. My daughter would wear that in a heartbeat. It looked feminine, but fun and young. |

ITA disco. I didn't care for Gunnar before, but what he did both for his own client and Terri has really elevated him in my eyes. I'm rooting for him. The designer that made the winning dress is Fabio. He looks to be the front-runner at this point. |

Ugh - this quote from the article makes me think that Terri is a famewhore as well and I wish she'd go away. I told you all I don't condone what Ven did, but I think she was a miserable bitch from the jump.
I didn't realize that he tweeted about her - that's just wrong on all levels. |

And Michael Costello! I knew there was a reason I loved that guy! I hope he does make a dress for her and I hope Heidi, Michael Kors, and Nina do some sort of PSAs about the effect of this kind of prejudice/bias/bullying. |

Yeah, I agree time to go away now. Why the hell didn't she speak up for herself? It wasn't as if she was talking to Karl Lagerfeld. She was insulted, not bullied. I don't think he is finished in the fashion world. He is very talented, and some design house will hire him to design behind the scenes. In fact, he is perfect for Michael Kors. Not patting myself on the back, but once they had FOUR "on top", I guessed they weren't sending anyone home. When Gunnar was the last one standing on the runway, I knew it ... They lost extra people in that melee so they are ahead of schedule and needed 9 people left for the next week's team challenges. I hate team challenges. I also thought Demetri's dress was the best this week, by far. I did like Melissa's dress, but Alicia's was a fright show and Gunnar's was MOTB + back stage of a beauty pageant. Dreadful. That boy has drag queen taste. |

who is Alicia again? I saw it coming, too, Icy. Especially when their critiques of the 'bad' ones weren't really bad. I do have to agree that everyone's did look like it belonged in the collection so they at least all met the challenge requirements. I hated Elena's dress. HATED. |

I loved Gunnar's dress. Lord and Taylor caters to a slightly older customer, so I thought it was perfect. I would have been really annoyed had he gone home. That brocaded monstrosity with the high neck was so poorly made (and speaking of old, Brocade?) and suited to so few body types I thought it should have been on the bottom. The winner's outfit, meh, I far preferred Dimitry's and Ven's. |

I was surprised when I read your post, Discomom, because I was sure Dimitri had won once -- but I just checked and you're right! He should have won at least twice. Maybe he's being played as the dark horse. Anyway, because I'm old, I went through the posts at bloggingprojectrunway.blogspot.com and caught up. Here's the winners and losers so far: E1 -> WINNER: Christopher LOSER: Beatrice E2 -> WINNER: Ven (Dylan's Candy Bar dress) LOSER: Lantie E3 -> WINNER: Ven (2nd win, Emmy appearance with past PR contestant) LOSER: Raul E4 -> WINNER: Sanjia (Working woman to Cocktail Party look) LOSER: Buffy (Note: Andrea and Kooan left at this point, voluntarily.) E5 -> WINNER: Melissa (Team Challenge - Collection for Marie Claire) LOSER: Raul (again!) E6 -> WINNER: Fabio (Dress a friend, Ven should have lost!) LOSER: Nathan E7 -> WINNER: Christopher (2nd win) (Lord and Taylor collection) LOSER: No one ETA: E8 -> WINNER: Sanjia (2nd win) (Mini-collection, team challenge, raise money first) LOSER: Adrienne, Alicia, Annemarie (what was her name?) One of those rare shows where the worst designer was clear from the moment the nine were standing together and that's who went home. WHY do they make them suffer and us suffer through "who do you think should win/lose" ??? Michael Kors (who seems to have alopecia of the eyebrows) getting all chilly and saying "oh, really? answer the question" ... was funny! But I maintain, that's a time waster and just creates/cements feelings of hostility. I felt bad for Melissa having to say Fabio's jacket was the worst thing ... esp. considering that disaster of a skirt Ven made. I'm still sick of him. He could go. Now. I was sort of shocked by how much money they raised on the streets. I wonder if the producers fronted each team a few hundred, just in case ... Gunnar, so lovely that he was so sure he'd win ... again ... but didn't .... again. He definitely wasn't raised on a farm, 'cause he's counting chickens waaaaay early .... and committing that error in his THs. OOOPS! I thought the front bottom of Sanjai's jacket was a little wonky. I guess they forgive minor things like that. But, honey? I'd never pay 2 grand for that jacket. |

The only way I'd pay 2 grand for a jacket is if it was encrusted in jewels. In which case, TACKY, and I wouldn't buy it. But, yes, I liked Sanji's jacket. I hate Elena. She can go hang. |
