Here's a piece from a highly-respected Chicago political journalist on this local train wreck:

Mob Wives Chicago are STOOPID

Can we get Carol Marin to come snark with us? ;)

I thought the same thing, though, the "real" Chicago mob would not put themselves out there on TV.

Shopper, did you notice that weird thing Nora was doing with her mouth? It could be a nervous tick, but I was thinking it was something drug induced... can meth make you do that? (My only knowledge of it comes from movies they would make the students watch during assemblies.)

And God, these women look so old and tough! Step away from the trowel to put on the makeup!

Yes Disco - I noticed Nora's 'tick' and I think the stripper has a habit too, shocking they are introduced as friends.

Disco - just now seeing you bumped up this thread.

The first episode left me underwhelmed to say the least. Not feelin the new girl, and my fav Renee (don't judge) is just amped up to ten.

I can't believe I've never watched Mob Wives until this week. I love it. This week's epi showed the ladies after Sandy. It was almost better footage than you saw on news TV.

That Staten Island accent has me hysterical.

I love the accents, but I do have to watch this show by myself. Mr. Disco refuses to watch, even though he loves a catfight.
The footage was amazing. This week was kind of a mellow episode for Mob Wives, wait until they all get together for some event. I wonder if Renee will come back from rehab all zen. Somehow, I think not.;)

Renee doesn't seem like the Zen type, even in rehab.

Looking forward to this more than the RH. It actually seems more REAL.

I had to laugh because Renee seemed truly amazed that her counselors thought she had an anger management issue. This is the lady who goes from zero to sixty in a second.
I like this show (What did you think of Big Ange? ) Chicago Mob Wives... meh. I watched 2 episodes and gave up on it.
See if you can watch previous seasons, weaver... the fights are spectacular, as is Junior's betrayal of Renee and her family.

I KNOW I posted this already (what am I doing that my posts don't post?) but I love Big Ang. I've only seen two episodes so far. Will have to catch up on the previous season's and this week's.

Drita is my fave from what I"ve seen. What a gorgeous beauty she must have been when young. She still looks fabulous.
I love the opening scene of them going across the bridge in their tacky furs and huge hair and high heeled boots. It makes me laugh every time.

You have to see last season (I think) when Drita and Karen get into a fight at Renee's party. I mean a real hitting, hair pulling fight. Classic!

I still get them mixed up, except for Drita, Big Ang (no one could mistake her for anyone), and Renee. Karen, Love and the others all blend into one to me.

Had PC and tablet problems, so am now ready to proceed on prior seasons.

I'm now watching season one on Netflix. It's pretty interesting, but too repetetive. Who is supposed to be supporting Karen Gravano? Her father is in jail, and all the mob supposedly turned against her family, so where does the money come from?

They all seem to live pretty well with no discernable source of income. I guess the mob has a "support wives of guys in prison" fund.

The oddest thing I've seen is the regular calls from hubby in prison to Drita with the shopping list! It's as if it is all normal. Do you really think Drita was faithful to Lee all those years?

I've wondered where they get all their money too, weaver. I must be doing something wrong...;)

And I don't know about Drita being faithful. I can see her getting pissed off when she found out about Lee being unfaithful and having a fling.
