It was really stupid of the writers to do ANOTHER suspected murderer plot for these two. She should have just become pregnant, either from the rape, or from her husband, then cope with the difficulties that would present economically and in other ways.

Bates in danger for no reason has already been done.

Anna could be pregnant NOW, in prison :( I REALLY like them both- in particular I love Joanne Froggatt as an actor. UGH- Need PEACE for the BATES'.

Bates couldn't have killed his first wife- he had left London while she was baking the Rat Poison Pie that killed her :) Mrs. Bates was evil and framed her "Bates-y" on purpose :) I don't think he killed Greene, either- but the whole thing is confusing. But I am sooooo done with this Greene storyline, too! I try not to question JF's judgment- but enough already. It's going to be a LONG wait until Christmas night :)
I know he didn't kill the first Mrs. Bates, but its a soap after all, anything can happen.

I love the Anna actress a lot, she is being wasted in this silly plot.

It was nice to see Mr. Molesley shine in this season. Every role is cast so well, I overlook the soapy plots most of the time.

So I saw that this coming season is the last for Downton Abbey. HOW CAN THEY DO THIS TO ME?? I want to know how they survive the Great Depression. I want to know how the littles fair during WWII.

Has anyone been watching the Crimson Field on PBS? It's about WWI volunteer nurses in the field in France. Molesley is in it and plays an officer. Quite a different character (but still a sympathetic character).

You're JUST finding this out?! I know :( Fellowes has a major NBC deal for "The Gilded Age" and didn't want to do both at once. Plus Dame Maggie is getting over it, and they don't want to kill off her character. I've been so sad for so long about this. Yes- I watch the "Crimson Field" and "Poldark" on PBS, too- and like them both- but DA will always be my fave.

Yep...just finding out about it recently... it's been a busy year! I remember watching Poldark on Masterpiece Theater back in the day, but am enjoying it again.
