I just saw Seasons 1&2 at Barnes and Noble on DVR.... and it said UK edition?
I can't wait for Season 3. In one of my Entertainment Weekly magazines they said that the house staff has an "updated look", as well as many of the other main characters. How do they look, weaver?

I didn't notice any updated look on the part of the downstairs house staff. Upstairs phases into the flapper type clothes of the 20's, not Dame Maggie of course. On last night's show in particular, everyone upstairs seemed to have updated their look a bit. They had a cricket match and the clothes were magnificent.

It never ceases to amaze me that my dad was born in 1925, my mom in 27, and things we think of as "so old" now were in style then. I have pictures of my dad, siblings and my grandma decked out in their finery and my grandma with her marcelled hair. Life was grand.... until my grandpa lost a crapload of money in the stock market crash.

Yes, can you imagine how difficult it was to get dressed then? Of course upstairs had help, but downstairs had to fend for themselves.

And all that washing and ironing.

Some of the dresses of the upstairs people looked so delicate, I suppose they were hand washed or spot cleaned. Perhaps the odeur in the drawing room was not as pleasant as the scenes would imply.

I just saw that Downton Abbey Revisited will be on PBS on Nov. 25 on PBS. I'm guessing it's a review of everything that has happened so far; whetting our whistle until Season 3 starts.

PBS tonight has a 1 1/2 hour Downton Abbey Revisted.... reviewing seasons 1 and 2 and clips from upcoming season 3. Also I just read that it has been picked up for Season 4.

I watched it. There was very little I hadn't seen before as a bunch of it is on the DVD extras already. The only new stuff for me was the clips from Season 3 and I'm betting that most of them come from Episodes 1 and 2.

I've finished my season 1 DVDs and am starting in on season 2. I see why you guys love this show!

I'm going to go back and read the stuff that happened in season 3, I want to know what's happened with all of them. I'll be watching from now on, when does this start again?

Thanks Momo.

I don't care if it's soapy. I like it. Glad to see I will be all caught up when it starts to air again!

I saw a piece about "behind the scenes" of Downton Abbey on CBS Sunday Morning and they had a clip of a spoof. So, I checked it out. They did a great job nailing the characters in a quick skit. I thought I would share:
