I love Jack. I fall asleep when I can't sleep by listening to his commentary on SOMETHINGS GOTTA GIVE when I can't sleep. I wish he would do books on tape.

BTW his acting commentary on that DVD is seriously amazing, informative, and interesting. Love him. There is another commentary that includes Diane Keaton for a while, and the things she says about acting are good too--but it's short.

I missed Jack last year so much. Anyway catch this clip with Jen Law and Jack my boy before they take it down again.

Haha, Jennifer Lawrence was totally cracking me up. Between getting hit on by Jack and tripping up the stairs, she's pretty good at thinking on her feet.

Anyone watching the MTV Music Awards? Justin Timberlake stole the show! That guy can sing and preform. Kanye would do well to take lessons from him as he had to sing with an auto tuner and his dancing looked fairy like!

Miley Cyrus needs to tone up if she's gonna be wearing outfits like that. Little too much inner and outer thigh jigglin' going on!

Kanye vs JT. No contest. I'm not a JT fan but he knows how to entertain. After hearing Kanye's girly voice on Kris's show, I'm not taking his angry black man routine seriously. I'm picturing him and Kim giving each other mani-pedis on the couch and studying Kylie's latest Tumblr entries for inspiration.

Cajun, I just posted the same thing about JT in some inappropriate thread (RHONJ I think.) I'm not really a JT 'fan' or I wasn't, even though I have his last album on my ipod, but in my opinion that performance saved the show.

I was flipping back and forth and then caught up on The Ten Most Talked About Moments today. Miley looked desperate. We get it kiddo. You aren't a Disney Princess anymore. Just a desperate young woman trying to be outrageous. Sorry Miley, you are no Madonna.

Gosh, did Miley even rehearse that dance? She cannot dance.

Exactly weaver.

Meanwhile, during my third viewing of JT's 15 minute number I kept wondering just how long he worked on that. Amazing.

JT can hold a crowd. I had no idea his performances were so good.

I love JT - and N'Sync. There I said it.

Ok so I initially said Miley was so desperate - and she was, however out of curiosity I went and googled the "Blurred Lines" video and actually, her performance minus the tongue sheanigans was pretty much a mirror of the terrible video. And I say this as a Robin Thicke fan. I remembered the video being hyped b/c of the nudity (hence Miley's getup) but never watched the video. Oh and the foam finger - also from the damn video.

I like Jay Z and JT and wanted to go see their tour this summer - but alas it never came my way. Also oddly enough the reviews I've seen of the tour laud JT as the highlight - boy can sing and dance and put on a show and jeez he has so many hits.

Did anyone watch The Emmys? As a big TV watcher, it was must-see-TV for me - although I recorded it and FF through the commercials. Seems like some of the categories were packed full of talented people and I was mostly pleased with the winners - except for Modern Family. Really, again? Aren't they over by now? Let some of the other good shows have a chance.

I watched. What a strange show. So much death! It did make me want to watch Breaking Bad though.

No love for Mad Men or Game of Thrones, and I REALLY don't get the love for Modern Family. I do like some sit coms but it's rare. Frazier, which in spite of it's star STILL holds up, Golden Girls sometimes. I did love the one they cancelled "Don't Trust the B in Apt whatever." The rest? meh

I was stunned how much TV I do watch and yet there seems to be lots of good stuff I'm missing! I remember when Thursday nights was the only good night for TV, shows were 22-24 episodes long and then you had the summer off before it started back up.

You're right about the death thing too - whatever happened to the nice photo montage with the cello playing being enough already. And too much music. Did we really need Elton John and Carrie Underwood at the Emmys? Nope.

I watched it on DVR and FF'd a lot. It made me realize how little TV I watch now because I know almost none of these people. Gotta catch up.

All those personal tributes were good, especially Edie Falco's on James Gandolfini. Rob Reiner's on Jean Stapleton was good too. I liked Robin Williams on Jonathan Winters, but lets face it, Jonathan Winters was never a TV icon, unlike Larry Hagman and Jack Klugman.

I just googled Larry Hagman and 83 million viewers watched the Who Shot JR episode. How could he not have an individual tribute? And Klugman too, the Odd Couple is a classic and then he had the years on Quincy.

Agree on Elton, I kept thinking what is this all about. I didn't expect to like the dance number but it was fabulous.

Jon Hamm has a real throat problem. I Googled him yesterday and it seems he is having surgery on polyps soon. I'd noticed it on the Mercedes commercials for quite a while, and it was very evident on the Emmy's show, causing me to look it up. WOW, his voice is his fortune, that surgery better work.

I caught 5 minutes. I have no patience for awards shows. I was entirely disgusted that Jack and Larry didn't get tributes and Cory did. Just gross to me. Anyway, another year another Emmy - I don't think I've watched in 20 years.

I totally agree CCC about Cory getting a tribute. I just don't get Hollywood and how they glorify death by drug overdose. Forget those who worked long and hard and made their craft respectable.
