I read, in Variety I think, that the Corey tribute was an attempt to get the audience numbers up - all the young Glee fans - and it worked. It was heavily "leaked" before the show that there would be a special tribute to him. The show had higher numbers of viewers then in many years. However, there has been a huge backlash about the omission of Larry Hagman and Jack Klugman.

That makes sense dilbert; the people that would tune in for a Corey tribute probably wouldn't know who Jack Klugman or Larry Hagman were. And let's face it, they (the producers who answer to the advertisers) don't really care about the age group that would appreciate a Klugman or Hagman tribute.

What the hell is Paula Patton wearing?

And Sandra Bullocks dress kinda sucked. And she seemed disinterested.

Robin Wright looked like she was smuggling tennis balls. And I think her boob tape showed during her acceptance speech.

I missed a bunch! This site has a lot (all?) of the acceptance speeches up if you did too.

Jac Bisset was either drunk or she forget that these are the Golden Globes not the Oscars. Get up, say thank you and sit down. What a drama queen. My daughter was so embarrassed for her.

I put this in the Gossip Mill thread but Ronan Farrow tweeted this after the Woody Allen tribute:

Missed the Woody Allen tribute - did they put the part where a woman publicly confirmed he molested her at age 7 before or after Annie Hall?

Ohh Fin, love that! Good for Ronan!
Andme, I saw Robin's bob tape :)

Didn't watch the preshow red carpets, but it seemed like there was a lot of color and metallic from what I saw of the presenters/winners. I'll have to try to catch Fashion Police tonight.

Jackie Bisset.... OMG. I'm surprised they didn't have someone come up and escort her off the stage.

No other comments really, since I haven't seen any of these movies, but one observation: In the category that Jackie Bisset won also had Sofia Vergara for Modern Family, vs Janet McTeer for The White Queen; I know the category was for BSActress in a series, mini-series or made for tv movie, but wow... quite a wide range. Sofia Vergara's show is comedy, others are drama. Seems like they maybe need to narrow it down a bit.

So funny - so happy to see Jackie. Most are so boring. She's always been sassy. Different strokes. She's also been nominated lots of times and never wins so I think she was in total shock. Wished I heard the cursing but they caught it I think or maybe it was too quick for me.

I think they bleeped her fast enough. But I think after a while, Move the Fuck on Jac Bissett. Say your thanks and get the hell off the stage. You aren't that great and you never really were. Oh she was good, but it isn't like some long lost fabulous actress. What did they have to cut so she could be a diva?

I missed a bunch too, but have it on the DVR so might watch later.

I saw Jac Bissett IRL a couple of years ago on First Avenue in my neighborhood. I thought at the time she looked terrible, aged far more than her years, especially considering the bone structure she has. Remember her in the wet t-shirt? What movie was that, I forget the name. She must drink.

I guess Diane Keaton thinks Woody is innocent.

I love Leo D!!

As I said we all need to agree to disagree. I think she's marvelous. I had 3 others with me here who agreed so it's a matter of taste. Why should she have to get off the stage when others also got the music to kick them off? Are they so much better. She worked her whole life to get this one little globe. Whatever we'll never agree. I despise those thanks and off the stage speeches as I said. Shows they have no personality. Award shows are getting so boring and more boring every year to me. Nothing. Just the announcement and gone. If not for Jac nobody would have anything to talk about since it was so boring.

She didn't have plastic surgery - now you tell the difference and why most of them do it. Maybe she'll go get a face lift now and she'll fab. Don't know if she will though.

I think Jac Bissett's eyes went at a young age. I remember thinking that when I was in high school that her eye's had a lot of wrinkles. How old is she now.

Well she probably looks really good for 70. I don't really know what a 70 y.o. is supposed to look like anymore!

I haven't watched it yet.

I think she looks dreadful for 70. Maybe it was the lighting. My building is filled with 70 year olds who have had no work and they look wonderful. (In fact IMO the ones who have had work look worse). No one looks as bad as she did, unless they drink, then they do, they look like she did. Hair was a mess too, come on she could have had her hair done.

I thought she was one of the most beautiful actresses ever. Adequate actress but boffo looks.

Now I have to go find the clip.

To think once I used to watch the show starting around 3PM.
