Small voice.....I liked that Pharrell wore whatever the hell it was that he wore, Mountie Hat and all. I miss the days, back in the day, when people came to the Grammy's in their outrageous rock star/soul/r and b/ hip hop/ country get-ups. I don't like the glammed up Grammy's. Especially now that they are lumped in the same time frame as all the other awards. One more couture ball gown or guy in tux, yawn.

Madonna......girl, NO. Just no! I guess when you have spent your whole career changing with the trends, you have no core to fall back on and end up looking ridiculous. Contrast this to Cindy Lauper who has remained true to herself, love it or hate it, all these years. She is five plus years older than Madonna but managed to not look like a pathetic aged diva but instead like a cool, older chick. Loopy, but cool.

I'm glad you mentioned Justin T, Cosmo. If he showed up at my house unannounced, he would catch me braless with a bunch of clean laundry on the steps.

Madonna didn't change with the trends, Madonna set the trends (Lady Gaga would just be another good singer/songwriter without taking a page from Madonna) ; at least for the first 20 years of her career. I have been a Madonna fan forever. I love her. I think Truth or Dare primed me for reality TV. But her outfit broke my heart last night. I was sooo disappointed.

I agree, it looked stupid. But I don't get what's so horrifying about the closeup Mariah posted - unless it's that ridiculous grill. So yeah, pathetic aged diva. Bummed me out.

I think Madonna has tried every plumper, filler etc to try to remain young looking, that along with the grill, the pasty make up and the lip color made her look ghoulish. Couple that with her tweet last week #n-word to her son makes me think she is trying to hard to be gangster right now. Same with her MDMA last year. At some point your can't be hip. Like the guy from Aerosmith. Keith Richards and Cyndi Lauper aged into who they were, but Madonna now seems to be trying.

Funny you should mention that tweet. Some people are saying that's why she brought David to the show. I did think he was adorable, tho.

Cosmo: I respect and appreciate your love for Madonna. She and I are the same age so I too have been on the entire ride with her. Loved her bouncy, sassy, flirty self. But I feel after her Material Girl phase, she was a culture vulture stealing upcoming trends she saw in clubs and bars and taking credit for them. She lost her authenticity decades ago and is now the worse for it. Hoping she will rally back soon.

I hope so too dilbert. It's embarrassing trying to defend her when she insists on pretending she's still 30.

Last week she was on crutches so I'm wondering if just wanted to find something that she could use that stick with without it looking like a cane. Except it did look like a cane. Like an old lady with a cane. Acccccckkk!

Steven Tyler looked liked Johnny Depps mother.

Bwahahaaha! Cajun, I was so glad I wasn't drinking coffee when I read this. Perfect description.

I noticed Keith Urban seems to have hit the plastic surgeons office since last year. He's starting to look like his wife.

The lead singer from Chicago looked amazing. Well they all looked and sounded good but damn, that's a 50 year career and he still looked good. Normally I would have FF through that but they were good, Robin Thicke actually added something (sorry, not a fan.) In fact all the numbers were pretty good except that first one which I hated. I loved how they mixed it all up with old and new performers/songs.

I know so many people who adore Madonna- ((hugs)) :) LOL Truth or Dare was when I stopped liking her, I think- I did like a lot of her music and videos. She just seemed like a mean person- I'm sure she's probably not. And then I hated her English accent...

Lol at her English accent. I loved Evita and thought she was robbed by the Oscar snub (she won a GG for it.) The problem with Madonna getting older is that it's not like she has any great musical talent to fall back on ala Carol King for example. Her personality/wardrobe/videos are her thing. I'm counting on her to find a way to navigate through her fifties and beyond without coming off pathetic. And last night seemed like a fail.

But she told Ryan Seacrest that even though she was injured, she wanted to be there last night because 'history was going to be made, and I want to be a part of it.' so I get that part too. If it's hard for a ho-wife to age gracefully, just think how tough it must be for a pop star known for her outrageous costumes etc.

Speaking of Seacrest, I loved Kathy Griffin talking to him. She hates him and he knows it. I thought it was hilarious. Oh, and congrats to Kathy on her win.

The daft punk guys without the helmets. I kind of like that they don't believe in the "star system." It's actually pretty smart, they can (probably) usually go about their daily lives without hassle.

Zoom in on the picture of Madonna. Check out the facial hair on her chin. C'mon girl…go to CVS and pick up some Nair for the face. I even do that!!!! And if you are going to go that blonde you need to lighten the eyebrows. That is my biggest pet peeve!!!!!
