I really don't like Carole. I think she thinks she's witty. I like that she called Amanda "Mindy" to her face, but to continue the shit in the blog and the nicknames too, I am over.

The twitter stuff it out of control. I follow them and there was a huge hiatus over the weekend, but now they are back at it. Carole does not let one tweet go. She even went after dim Kelly.

Don't get me wrong, I think she's right that Aviva shouldn't have gone there. Carole MAY have been condescending, but that doesn't excuse Aviva.

But last season I didn't like the way Carole treated my Countess, who I couldn't stand for the way she treated Alex, but anyway she's paid her dues and Carole owed her some deference for being an OG. And really Carole, you're on the same show as these women, you're not better. And the way she hugged Ranjana in Miami. too cutesy.

I think she played too much on being Andy's friend and was too much of a Bravo insider. But now she's been sucked in to the Clown car.

I don't know, I would be livid.

You just don't get to break the law for a storyline. Carole is no angel, but Aviva is completely out of line. In Carole's blog she said something about "What if I said I heard on the street that (Aviva's husband) was about to be indicted for insider trading, or theft from his clients?"

Exactly.

I agree Mariah. I would be livid too. But this started airing 3? weeks ago and filmed months ago. By now, Carole has to start cooling off on the twitter wars. She is coming across as crazy at this point.

She should be much smarter about putting Aviva in her place. And I was shocked that she made a comment in her blog about Amanda's sagging boobs.

I get the feeling that Carole doesn't have that much else going in her life and she's obsessing about this stuff. What happened to cool Carole with the fingerless gloves and Beats headphones?

She may be deliberately engaging Aviva on twitter for a reason.

For example, if it's true that there is some kind of Bravo contract about housewives not suing one another, then engaging Aviva IN PUBLIC but not on the show may allow her to sue her anyway, not for what was said on the show, or in Bravo blogs, but because she is saying it to the world on something that has nothing to do with Bravo, and that is twitter.

ETA just making a guess here, I'm no lawyer, but it does make sense.

You're right Mariah. It doesn't make sense otherwise. Carole is usually so phlegmatic. Is that the right word?

Imagine if I went on the show and told Ramona or Kristen that word on the street is Reid’s client’s are suing him for misappropriation of funds, or that word on the street is the SEC is investigating his business practices. Hey you guys, there’s a lot of gossip going around. There are a whole bunch of words, on lots of streets!

Oh my, Carole is going for the jugular.

I agree with Mariah, I'd be so fucking pissed, I'd be talking about it for a YEAR. And yes, it would be overkill, but fuck! A 20 year career which got you the Emmy award trashed for a stupid debutant-who-never-grew-up's book to get publicity? As if people KNOWING about it equates with them BUYING it? Fuck no! I'm not buying that and I never would have anyway! Now -- if I see it at the dollar store in 20 years -- I might want a copy to BURN in EFFIGY!

Besides, this is all over the course of a few weeks over a year ago. Bravo edited it to not wrap up quickly. They probably wanted it to last to be able to develop into a Twitter sitch and so it could feed into Vieves fighting with Holla now. I don't often think "shut up already" if it goes into more than one episode, because that's the producers/editors mostly. Now, with Vieves on St. Bart -- THEN I was yelling at the TV "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" ... ah, good times. Good times.

Oh I understand Carole's indignation. Especially what we are seeing on television. And maybe Bravo is telling them to amp it up on Twitter. Other Hos have said that Bravo tells them to tweet.

But I like Mariah's theory that Carole is looking for Aviva to tip her hand on twitter. But today in her blog she revealed that they have the same publishing house, so it is unlikely that Carole is garnering good feelings by dragging their name through the mud. Makes them look unprofessional too to have employees gossiping about another writer.

They have the same publisher for WHAT REMAINS and Vieve's book, Simon and Schuster - but Carole's new book is a different publisher, Henry Holt. ... unless they all merged?

ETA: I googled. Vieve's book publisher was Gallery Books, which is a division of S&S. Carole's WHAT REMAINS was published by Pocket Star, another division of S&S. Carole's new book is Henry Holt & Co. So I think that's a step up, as it's not a division that handles a certain kind of book, but the name publisher. Not sure.

So everybody's book gets a lot of publicity right now? One big commercial for the two books?

Here's what Carole says about the publisher:
Quote:

Moving on, Carole explains why she hasn't taken legal action against Aviva for slander. "I continue to have an excellent working relationship with Aviva's publishing house (Simon and Schuster), who is also my publisher. We are in agreement that what the Dreschers have said has no merit or credibility. All of this is a sad and desperate attempt to try to cover up Avivvy's own deceit, and also help her seem relevant on our show. I have nothing more to say about it."

I sincerely hope that Carole and Aviva do have nothing more to say about it.

Why is Heather so pissed at Aviva? Did they have a fight that I missed?

Well Aviva basically told people to get over themselves if they were offended by "verbal rape" but now she has tweeted an apology, of sorts, basically telling them to get over themselves because her cousin who actually was raped wasn't offended so they shouldn't be either, but if they were, "sorry! :)"

So is she (Fran Drescher) a cousin to Aviva, or to Reid?

Celeb cousins are so useful, even if only gained through marriage!
