Oh dilbert, did it get edited out yet for Boards on Boards and did you get a warning for tone? Some bitch will definitely rat on you for calling them out on being shallow and judgmental. Meanwhile, I have to go over and like your post.

Haven't been edited out yet, Fin. Perhaps because my post got a lot of likes. I go by AbbyCourt over there, by the way. That was the road I was living on after the TWoP banning that lost me my dilbert name over there!

I'll head over and like it, too! Because I do! And I hate it from all the wives -- many of them play that game. What's funny is someone like Aviva talking about Carole's age when she's only 4 years younger.

ETA: 34 likes! Congrats, Dilbert, I've never seen so many likes over there!!

Icy - HA! I should go over and screen shot it for posterity...but then a I would be like George Constanza and the Frogger Machine in that Seinfeld episode.

Definitely showed that I touched a nerve though. That's good, we old folks gotta stand up for each other!

Pfft. 50 is the new 30. And I guess that would make like apparently like 30 like the new like 7th grade. (just kidding all you whippersnappers.)

I saw a card the other day - I would rather be 50 than pregnant.

It's funny, at some point, there is a magical change where you transition from wanting to have kids to really not wanting to have any more kids.

I just caught up here but I love your post dilbert! I just posted something similar on the show snark thread - that I was tired of Kristen and Heather's making cracks about menopause like it was some sort of character flaw! Ditto with Aviva and Carole. Surely they can find enough about Ramonja to insult without that. For me, that kind of stuff negates just about everything else they just said.

And when you start looking forward to Sunday mornings more than Saturday nights - something that amazes me. I don't know when that happened.

I am so glad your post wasn't deleted and had so many "likes" dilbert! You nailed it.

Meanwhile, this is Ramona's entire blog:

Quote:

Ramona Didn't Intend to Hit Kristen
Ramona Singer
Ramona explains her "knee-jerk reaction" and how many air conditioners she tried to gift to

I thought Josh was originally trying to help Sonja but end up coming across as condescending and unsupportive. No one responds well to negative energy and Josh was acting negative -- and a business consultant!

I must say I was extremely upset when the plastic glass hit Kristen in the mouth. That glass could have been tossed million times and it would not end up in her face. Who knew that would happen? I was totally embarrassed and regretful for my actions. When K totally drenched me in water I had a knee jerk reaction, tossing what I had in my hand. My intention was not to hit her or harm in any way.

The day we went to Heather's home it was over 100 degrees. I really wanted to cancel the trip due to the weather. My intention was to gift Heather four A/C units for every bedroom. Only one arrived -- and even that one did not work.

Kristen and I were in an uncomfortable situation. It was giving bad energy to the rest of the group and I thought it was best for me to leave the pond -- and perhaps the best decision to leave the Berkshires all together. I also had my daughter in the Hamptons, events to attend to and a house full of central air conditioning. I did not want to ruin the weekend.

I have to say, on my new computer a friend told me to download a few programs, among them these:

WOT - Web of Trust
it will alert you to stay away from dangerous websites
https://www.mywot.com/

No Script
there is a learning curve, but it can help keep you safe when surfing the internet
by default it blocks websites from using scripts (java)
some people think No Script is the best reason to use Firefox, and I agree
http://noscript.net/

The last one just showed me DOZENS of scripts run on the Bravo pages, it's ridiculous, no wonder that site was so slow and kept freezing on my older computer. Meanwhile, no thanks Bravo. I let it run enough just to see the blogs now. *the program lets you say what to allow on various websites.) So far, Bravo, BY FAR takes the prize for the most.

Do you guys remember Watcher in the Woods? It was a 1980 teen horror movie that was on Disney Channel a lot back in the day. It was about late-career Bette Davis’s daughter Karen and she got trapped in a mirror or some shit during an eclipse and Bette Davis wandered around the woods with her wrinkles and bug eyes and palpable bitterness and she just frightened a generation of children (including a very young Kyle Richards, who co-starred) with her unexplained menace. That, in a nut shell, is what happened when Ramona Singer went to the Berkshires.

Oops, I should have put it in quotes. It's Brian Moylan's, not mine!

His recap is really good, I thought.

Exactly Disco! Ranjake - I'm with you - I still love kids, but somewhere along the way, and I never noticed when, I just stopped wanting a baby of my own. Let me make it clear though, my kids better not bring home a baby - they are way too young!

Ramona has some weird issues. Impulse control definitely is one. Lack of filter another. Turrets probably to some extent. And except with Sonja, lack of empathy. I think she has a hard time processing. She needs her time. And I think she is OCD to some extent. Just a hint of something like that. And she is definitely menopausal (probably through it).
