Another underwear maven? Jill's not going to like that!

Didn't Kelly write "The Bikini Book"? This franchise is all starting to run together for me.

I watched a documentary of Halston late last night on Showtime. I still love his clothes and would still wear them, so flattering and beautiful, and frankly, timeless. A rich friend had an original Halston one shoulder draped column bias cut gown that I borrowed once--I felt like a princess, so lovely, and I hated giving it back.

Anyway, I am pretty sure that was Carole's friend Naeem that they interviewed. That is his name right? He was spotted in India by Halston and brought back to work WITH, not for, Halston, and Halston talked to him about letting the fabric and the woman inspire the dresses you make. There was also quite a bit about Studio 54 and Halston's eventual and quite sad downfall.

Anyway, the Naeem interview was quite long and really good. I can see why Carole considers him a respected name in fashion and also a friend, he was quite honest and charming. They showed a few of his dresses as well, and they were quite lovely.

Sonja is a dimwit - especially for someone who lives in NYC and has seen Menorahs before:

As a NYC shiksa, I wouldn't have known that either.

I think the spelling of Minora is what caught my eye - not the lights themselves. Sounds like a japanese holiday. Considering all of the flack about holiday displays, you would think she may have read the word menorah before.

Ok, Fin. I got one for ya. I sent a Happy Chanukah email to a Jewish friend. She replied "what the hell is that". I don't know why but I recall it being spelled Chanukah. She said it was wrong. I can barely keep up with my own religion. Happy Holidays is all you're getting from me. That goes for you Festivus people too.

I just read that Chanukah has to have eight letters, no matter if it's spelled like you and I have done it or with an H, because there were 8 days of oil.

I didn't know that the number of letters and days of oil were connected.

Neither did I. But I know a lot of my Jewish Friends, tm Teresa, spell Hanukkah with an H and a double k. Maybe it does have to add up to eight! Lol!

My daughter's best friend in HS was Hannah, and her mom said the actual way to spell it in Hebrew is Channah, because it really has that throaty H sound ( as does Hanukkah) but they decided to fore go the Ch because it would totally be a disaster for a child in school to have to deal with/explain it all the time. So I'm not sure if it is supposed to be written Channukah, or just the H has that sound. Where is dilbert and her Hebrew classes when we need her to solve this?

I had to google spelling that several times, but usually just use the various spellings that my Jewish friends use.

I didn't know that about 8 letters! That is so cool.

Ramona is saying that she has a better body than Aviva....

Can't say she lacks confidence
