Countess was on QVC last hour peddling dinnerware. Damn, I missed it. Not too impressive, is it?

That looks like something you could get at Target.

She has been tweeting about it for a while. I think she is trying to sell Hamptons entertaining.

It's "outdoor" stuff, so plastic. Nice to see Lulu getting out there and working though.

Well Mariah she can't spend all her time on her "music".

It cracks me up that the plastic dishes are called The Countess Collection. This is what it says in the product description:

These 12pc heavy weight Melamine dinnerware sets were inspired by the Countess' beach vacations.

I wonder what beach that was where they had plastic turquoise plates? St. Tropez?

The hamptons. Lots of people use those because broken glass outside where you walk barefoot -especially with kids is really hard to clean up. So they buy fancy plastic stuff.

I saw the Countess on QVC yesterday. She was very nervous, said "ya know" a lot, and in general was not a good salesperson. The host didn't seem all that interested in her goods either. I watched him sell a cookbook for the previous vendor and he was selling like crazy. Nothing special about the dinnerware. They said they sold 500 sets. I guess that's a lot, but not a sellout.

At one point she said something like "it's heavy but its lightweight." She should have said something like "its substantial but light in the hand," or gobbledygook like that. To me she seemed quite frazzled.

She looked great, had on a less sexy version of her usual attire. Oh, host mispronounced deLesseps and she didn't correct him.

I've seen Jill on HSN and she can really sell.

I HAD plates like this (not sure what's is storage still- will find out after I go home 5/31) they were I guess that melamine and really cute and coastal with coral and seahorses and starfish- we used them for barbeques- they were ALL from the dollar store :)

Based on absolutely nothing, I suspect the Countless one thought she would sell a low-end product better than an expensive one --as if the RH audience will snap up something in the bargain bin, but not shell out real $$ for something else. She possibly thought "Everyone will buy one, since it only costs XX" ... WRONG. I've never known someone who buys from TV to be worried about the price of bread.

Jill, OTOH, went the expensive "you deserve it" route. Smarter.

Except I guess when it comes to selling herself.

Dammit, why do these ho's have to be so greedy? It's not like they have any talent or anything. Don't they realize they are just a bunch of crazies on a reality show? They are starting to piss me off.

And somewhere out in Brooklyn I'm sure Silex is letting Bravo know they will do it for half the money or maybe even less.
