I googled Strumpet With a Trumpet.

Roxanne Pulitzer?
Quote:

Several witnesses testified about Roxanne Pulitzer's active interest in the supernatural. A psychic described seances in the Pulitzer bedroom, during which a trumpet lay on the bed. Wondering aloud how it could be relevant, Judge Harper allowed the trumpet to be entered as evidence. Newspapers immediately dubbed Roxanne Pulitzer "the strumpet with the trumpet."

I just saw/heard a commercial for the new season. When the announcer says, 'Watch out Countess, there's new royalty in town!" and one of the new ho-wives says, "I was married to a prince" [or something like that] I literally screeched a little with glee.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Countess get a slapdown or four and of course seeing my beloved Ramona get trashed with her sidekick Sonya.

Ramona, Lulu and Sonja are on GMA right now.
Apparently there are good dynamics between the 3 new and 3 old.
Friction on the sofa between Ramona and Lulu.
Aviva and Ramona get into it on St. Barts. (Kind of had to laugh... Bravo sent them there AFTER they fired Jill and Silex!)
They said it was "hard" to film without Jill, Silex and Kelly (not mentioned by name) because they had grown up with them on the series, but the 4th one (Cindy, mentioned by name) was a non entity, so it wasn't that strange for her to not be around. This was a direct quote from Ramona.
All 3 looked good.Ramona still has her hair back in one barrette on the side. Like I used to wear my hair in 1981.

Watching Lulu on Wendy.
She looks great (and Wendy asked if she had lost weight, and Lulu said yes).
She is coming out with a line of dresses and jewelry (Surprise, surprise)
She busted out with her trademark "alls" and Wendy called her on it. Lulu said she got from her mom. But she did correct herself. I guess that was something that the Count, as a non native English speaker never picked up on and forced her to change. *
She and Ramona get into it again this year (another surprise) and she said Mario this season is kind of taking up where Simon left off. In other words, getting into the ladies' business.
She said the problem between her and Ramona was that Ramona was judgmental of her relationship with her children and her parenting, and Lulu doesn't feel that any other woman has the right to be that way. (Which is true, however I think it
s something that we all are guilty of, its just that the rest of us don't do it on reality tv ). All Lulu wanted was an apology, but Ramona's MO is to get aggressive and confrontational.
Oh, and BTW, today is the 3rd anniversary for Lulu and David Schwimmer /Adiran Brody.

* Adding this because we all saw how controlling the Count was and I think Lulu along the way was "shaped" into what he thought she should be. Which is where I think she got the whole Countess thing. It was drummed into her head how a countess " was supposed to act".YMMV

GAWKER recap!!

(well, Gawker writer Brian Moylan at his new gig anyway)

Not as good as the old Gawker recaps, sigh. Still, he does a paragraph or two on the new wives.

VULTURE recap
Quote:

Which brings us to the absence of Jill. Bravo, in a feat of wildly impressive Semitic math, managed to jettison Jill Zarin, a woman who has done more to further asinine stereotypes about New York Jews than a horde of Himmlers ever tried to, and replace her with a Jewish-er presence than an entire garment union comprised of women named Hadassah. Here comes Aviva Drescher, Fran Drescher’s one-legged cousin, and after her, Heather Thomson, a shapewear entrepreneur who not only mentioned the Yiddish concept of bashert after being accused of talking over people at a dinner, but who also happens to be married to a man with the last name of Schindler. So, yikes. Mazel Tovs all around, Bravo, for making sure America knows what “New York City” really means. And now we move on to the Kennedy relative who, sadly, does not have a place of her own in the Hamptons with her mother, a headscarf, and an army of cats and raccoons.

Entertainment Weekly

Quote:

Welcome, Aviva! "Never underestimate a woman born and raised in New York City." (Hmmm, got to jazz that up, 'Viva.) "She's poised and graceful and charming," admired LuAnn, "you would never know that she had a handicap." Handicapped people, always so lacking in charm. Aviva is an old friend of LuAnn's, and her ex, who last season chortled at Sonja's exposed derriere at her courtesan party, is an old friend of both Sonja and LuAnn's. Watch her face cringe whenever his name comes out of their mouths. Watch it similarly cringe if there are ever dried apricots or diet sodas or anything else that she read an alarming email forward about in her midst. And then watch it turn child-like with fawning delight when Carole Radziwill enters the room.
:D

The final new addition is Heather, who has the too-eager smile and the generic Disney princess hair of a woman who would get kicked off in week 2 of The Bachelor. "My success is built on making women look and feel their best." Okay, so far, so good. "Holla!" Oh Lord.
:$

Speaking of bombs, she has an unsettling habit of dropping them into conversation. "My Dad died on Friday. Yeah, it's really hard. This drink is amazing. My son had a liver transplant at six months. OMG, I love your dress. I love my kids so much. That's why I booked up a weekend nanny three months before the one was even born." Does she want to have real conversations?

This is Great. Alex's recap for some TMZ knockoff I guess. Filmed with awful sound quality by Simon from his inflatable pool. It's the equivalent of the girl who didn't get asked to the Prom giving a play by play from her bunk bed in the attic.

Wow, French Ross and Lulu have been together that long? Didn't we just meet him last season? I guess Lulu is pretty good at keeping stuff off the show. Thanks for the report disco, I've got it recording at home.

Nice recaps of the recaps Mariah. I love the Vulture one - so well done. Can't get to the other ones from work.

The EW one (with a new writer) is the best so far. She made me laugh several times.

Alex ... oh,Alex ... go inside! So funny, twice she's nearly drowned out by neighborhood noises. First a passing airplane and then a band saw ... she looks sideways, trying to see if she's being told "it's too noisy, we have to start over" but I guess they decided not ... bet next one will be inside.

She mentioned something in one of Victoria's paintings -- "KUHS" ... what is that and why would it matter?*

*ETA: Re-listened. KUSH. Marijuana. Hmmmmm.... http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=kush
