Kelly promotes her newest product. A prize goes to that person who can describe what the product is. From her Instagram: kellybensimonNew #freewheel. 1st consumer product launch for Cablevision. Connectivity is the new cellular. New device priced in disruptive fashion. 25.99 a month. If cablevision 9.99 a month. My clutch is @bally_swiss |

She was at some electronics fair but I could not figure it out........and then she throws in the BallySwiss plug to boot. I find it hysterical on her Instagram. She very frequently misspells the brand name of the product she is hawking, or doesn't bother to look up the product's official Instagram page so she can refer to it and the reader can link to it (that's sort of the point). She'll just make it something, you click it and ....crickets. I actually pointed it out in a reply several months ago, and she or her minion (who might be her daugher) deleted my post. Spelling is important, folks. Edited by weaver, Feb 6 2015, 11:40 AM.

She was back in Fl or posted a photo from Fl with the caption, My Front Row Seat at NYFW Fall fashions or some such. It was her sitting on a lifeguard chair at the beach. She does seem to lead a charmed life for all her non-sensical talk! |

Definitely ccc! Or PM me and we can talk about it there. Different locations had very different vibes. For example, many of the Caribbean Clubs seemed to be sex fests, they wanted me to go there next, to improve my French. Some clubs were laid back, with more of a family vibe, some were party all the time. Mine was pretty laid back. Hanalei. |

Yes, how much time does it take to check the Instagram site of the product you are, I guess, being paid to promote? I'm convinced she is dyslexic. No adult misspells and misuses words as often as she does. |

When I was young, Club Med had a very tawdry reputation. Definitely a sex club type thing. Wasn't it singles only at the start? |

No, couples were always welcome, but it was always arranged so that as a single, you could travel easily and be included in everything. There were a few clubs that had that reputation though, and were pretty wild. In the beginning it was the whole "no phones, no TV" with very simple rooms or huts in tropical climates get aways. If you were traveling single you were paired with a same-sex roomate. The whole idea back then was to be out of your rooms, enjoying the beautiful area, doing the sports or lounging in the sun, with GO's to make everything smooth. No one felt alone there, the GO's and having a roommate ensured everyone was included. Guests were really taken care of from the moment they stepped off the plane/train/bus. All meals were family style with a GO (who was supposed to fit in with the guests and smooth things over, get conversation going, ask someone shy to dance, make introductions during meals and after the show, or bars, while having a different job during other hours, such as teaching sailing, diving, yoga, archery, etc. Certain clubs, especially those in close to NY travelers were notorious though. Others were more sedate. There were all kinds of clubs in all kinds of locations. Martinique was one of the racier clubs. One club in Mexico was, the other two were not, for example, can't remember which now. When I was checking their website I have to admit I was shocked to see a television in the rooms, and hear about wifi. That is completely against the old Club's mission of completely taking you away from day to day life, and letting you connect to nature, relationships, who you are without all the noise. I began as an archery and diving instructor, but was pretty quickly promoted to Manager of Transportation. It was really fascinating to see people arrive, uptight, and worried about things like luggage (the club took care of everything from the moment you stepped off a plane) and then watch them leaving a week or two later, and the culture shock when they had to check themselves in, and handle their own luggage as they left. It really was a cool idea, unplug, relax, be your true self, no worries about money, wake up, want to sail or learn to surf, or hike to a ruin? Just show up there and do it.
