Does Jill Zarin’s WWHL Appearance Mean She’ll Return For RHONY Season 6? - ExclusivePosted Image
Photo Credit: Jamie McCarthy/ Getty Images

When Jill Zarin was fired from The Real Housewives of New York after Season 4, it was widely assumed that both viewers and Bravo were sick of her. But does her October 15 episode of Watch What Happens Live signal a change of heart for the network? Wetpaint Entertainment has already reported producers are meeting with potential new candidates for Season 6. Could there also be a return of an old, familiar face too?

Not so fast. “Andy had her on because he knew it would be good for ratings [for WWHL],” a show source tells us. “And because she was relentless. She’s been calling and calling for months trying to get on the show.”

“Andy’s no dummy,” the source continues. “He knew having her on as a one-time special episode would make good TV. But at the end of the day, no one really trusts Jill – that’s why the episode she did was pre-taped, not live like the rest. They never know what kind of stunt she’s going to pull.”

“I don’t think there’s any danger of her returning to the network,” the source adds. “I don’t think anyone wants that to happen.”

But it won’t be for lack of trying. “Bravo is where I started, they’re the ones that discovered me, they’re the ones that invested in me and maybe they’re the ones to ask me to have my own show,” she recently told TooFab.
 “
Kim [Zolciak]’s and Bethenny’s shows were amazingly successful and if I could bring the ratings Monday and it’s all about what the fans want, [Bravo] should listen.”

The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 Reunion: Part 2 airs on Monday, October 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Jill’s appearance on WWHL will air at 11 p.m. that same night.

Jill Zarin Won't Return to Bravo, Despite Being Shown on WWHL
October 11, 2012 05:30 PM EDT

Jill Zarin may have filmed an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, but that doesn't mean that this former Real Housewives of New York star will be coming back to the network any time soon. In fact, a new report claims that Andy only had her on to shut her up about getting fired and on top of that, there was a big reason the episode wasn't live.

"She was relentless. She's been calling and calling for months trying to get on the show," an insider tells Wetpaint. Jill wanted closure and, to be honest, so did a lot of the viewers and Andy knows it. "He knew having her on as a one-time special episode would make good TV."

Andy had fired Jill along with Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord, and Cindy Barshop following the fourth season of the show and many fans were disappointed that so many of the show's stars were no longer featured -- especially Jill who had been on the show since day one.

While it has been speculated that Bethenny had something to do with Jill's exit, nothing has been confirmed and in actuality, Andy simply doesn't seem to like Jill -- or trust her. He wouldn't even have her on Watch What Happens Live as a live guest, which is the norm.

"At the end of the day, no one really trusts Jill. They never know what kind of stunt she's going to pull," the insider adds. Well, after Monday night, they won't ever have to find out.

Did she really say that Bravo may offer her a show of her own?

So, it's as I thought; Jill pestered Andy until he caved, just so he could have some peace and quiet. He's going to have to be really blunt with her, because if she thinks she'll get a show out of it she will keep pestering like that mosquito in the room that you just. can't. kill....

It's why it's taped ahead of time -- specifically so she can't pull any of her crap.

Loves it more than anything! Say what you will Jill is relentless and sometimes it works in her favor. It won't this time but is a great read or watch so to speak. Love it.

The fans have spoken, and Bravo is listening!

After ex-cast member Jill Zarin appeared on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live on Monday night, fans besieged the network demanding the feisty housewife be asked to come back for the next season of The Real Housewives of New York City, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

"Jill's appearance solidified the likelihood that she will be featured on the sixth season," a source close to the situation tells Radar. "Jill and Andy were even trending for a long time Monday night on Twitter. That is the kind of buzz that the network wants for the next season. Jill is a polarizing figure and she has a very, very strong personality.

"Jill is open to the idea of coming back to the show and would be willing to appear as a guest star. Viewers love to watch Jill tussle with Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps. There was no where near as much drama on the show this year, even with the addition of three new cast members after Jill, Alex McCord and Kelly Bensimon were fired."

As previously reported, Zarin opened up about the sudden axing on Monday, telling Cohen that it felt like "a death."

"It felt like a death…..It felt like my funeral. I was heartbroken and I felt like [Bravo was] my parents and that when it was 'Bethenny [vs.] Jill,' you picked favorites," Zarin confessed. "I even felt [my dog] Ginger got it bad."

This isn't the first time Zarin has been asked to return to the hit show, in January of this year a source told RadarOnline.com that Zarin had been invited back, but that she had declined to re-join.

“I thought about quitting the show during season 4, because my husband wanted his wife back,” Jill told Radar in an exclusive interview. “I had such anxiety and pressure to act a certain way and I was paranoid for a reason, because people were planning and plotting against me.

“I’m too old and have grown up too much to do Real Housewives anymore, I want to set an example to my kids and my grandkids."

So might Jill have had a sudden change of heart?

"The outpouring of support that Jill got after her appearance on Monday night is really changing her mind. She is in a better place now and really does love being on the show. Jill is in much more control of the situation because she knows the show needs her more than she needs them," the insider says.

What complete bullshit. I don't believe one word. In fact, I'm not sure her name is really Jill or her dog is named Ginger. Desperate, desperate sad woman.

It really is so sad that Jill can't just enjoy the fabulous life with her fabulous circle of friends.

Do you think Andy will take her back for ratings? Or is she like the DeMarco sisters - manipulation that tarnishes the brand?

Maybe next year Sonja's toaster oven will be ready and Andy can use that to spice up the show.

If that fails, bring on Jill.
