Jill doesn't look older than 49. She looks in her 40s. She usually looks better than that picture. |

I seriously doubt that - when has Mario ever had the balls to make a joke when his shrew of a wife wasn't present as backup? His humor is not humor, it's humiliation and that requires an audience. He especially wouldn't joke about blow jobs since even if he's somehow innocent of him fucking around and betraying his bug-eyed beloved, those rumors have been around since easily season 2, when the cameras caught him staring lasciviously at a woman not his wife, in *front* of his wife. I also don't see Jill as looking 49, let alone older than 49. I think that outfit is shitty, though, don't get me wrong! Satin is the fabric choice of Satan. |

It may be her outfits, she always looks so matronly to me. Kyle is 44. Kim's 49 and she looks it. Camille is 45. Ramona is 55 and looks fantastic for 55. Crap I was looking them up individually! There is a complete list here (add 2 years to each): http://www.allabouttrh.com/realhousewivesage/ 2 years ago: Jill Zarin-48 years old Sonja Morgan-48 years old LuAnn de Lesseps-46 years old Alex Mccord-38 years old Lulu looks fantastic for 48! |

Can't sun damage be reversed by lasers or something? I think if Kim did that she would look so much younger. ITA that Lulu looks fantastic. Sonja is very beautiful and though I'm not that fond of her, her looks are so elegant and timeless. I can't credit the Ramonster ever since someone pointed out at TWoP that for someone with a 'natural' eye condition or big eyes, her minor crows' feet go up, not out. |

http://edition.cnn.com/2007/LIVING/homestyle/07/20/sun.damage/ I didn't know that! I can't afford it anyway. Kim's legs are lumpy and she looks ill, especially there. She has the legs of a 74 year old in poor health. It's not just varicose veins, but she seems to have those bad as well, and her feet look deformed and nearly collapsing. I'm going to look into these, and stay the hell out of the sun! http://consumersguides.com/skin_lightener_reviews/index.html Actually, that site said City Lights was the best, when I googled I got several "Do not try City Lights!" hits. grrr http://www.totalbeautyanswers.com/skin-brighteners?gclid=CISQ9LCLtroCFUVxQgodUXwA2Q I have to go to the dermatologist anyway, I want her to check a couple of suspicious places, so I'll ask her to prescribe something. I don't think Jill looks older than she is -- I think the perception of age is from long ago and has been overturned by people taking better care of their skin. Sometimes we know someone who looks their age, but that's an exception, I think, rather than the rule. So Jill, IMO, looks late 30s, early 40s-- for what those ages sound like. Truthfully, to me she looks 49 because she is 49 and that's how she and her former castmates who are similar ages look. I think Ramona is older by a few years -- but I just saw a picture of her and Mario in the back of a car on their way with the dog to see Avery in college -- and Ramona, without makeup looked very young. It was odd. I wonder if she has a portrait in her attic. |

You can do photofacials or laser resurfacing. I did them but not enough. You need at least 4. It doesn't hurt. It helps with pigmentation. I bought them on groupon or one of those and got some free photofacials a few year ago for free from a friend of mine who does them. |

I think by today's standards, Jill seems older than 49. I am 49 and most of my friends look and act way younger than Jill, and none of them have had botox or filler or whatever. Her skin is fine, she is in decent shape, but she gives off a very matronly vibe that makes her seem older than the typical 49 y.o. Maybe it is the yenta-ness that seems to pervade her personality. Kyle is only 4 years younger but seems to be from an entirely different generation. |

I think Kyle's hands and legs look worse than Jill's. I do think that that picture in particular is bad. I'll post another recent one that is so much better. She looks late 30s early 40s most of the time. I don't think she usually wears silk satin like Ramona - I could be wrong - but I don't remember it often. She looked really good recently on some show. I agree - I don't act my age so even if I look older - which I am -it doesn't come across that way or I just don't see myself the way the rest of the world does.

Finestra: I 100% agree with you. These women SEEM older than their years. They may not look older perse, but they just seem old. Luann is my favorite example of this. She looks great, wears younger clothing, but has always to me presented as someone much older than her age. They are matronly, world weary, something......the youthfulness, the playfulness of a young mind is absent in them. Maybe that is it; most of them seem to have no intellectual curiosity, no sense of wanting to discover new things that makes a person regardless of their age seem youthful. Appearing young is way more than Botox, boob lifts and skin spot lighteners. |

Do you all think Carole is younger than her years? She likes edgier clothing, and she is I think genuinely curious about events, the world - she had that scene visiting the Occupy Wall Street movement. She is very physical and exuberant when she hugs Ranjana. Very true now that I think about it that Kyle *does* seem to be from a younger generation than Jill even if they are only 5 years apart. |

Well said Finestra, I agree. I tried an experiment on some spots on my hands/forearms last night after reading up a bit. In the spirit of "use what you have," and I certainly don't have $150 for one small jar of cream... I used one of those skin-buffer pads things I picked up at Ross, the so-called "hair removal pads" which will remove hair and give you muscles at the same time, since it takes FOREVER on a small area to remove any. I found that they are great skin smoothers/exfoliates though! So I did that for about a minute. Then I used some acne pads that are super wet (picked up at Grocery Outlet long ago.) Well, folks, the spots are quite noticeably lighter! I barely did anything. Total cost? Maybe $12 and I only used a little bit of each. Ta Da! I'm going to check those sites again for other clues about ingredients. Luckily, my face has pretty much been spared except on the edges. Wearing mineral make up for the last 20 years has helped, natural sun screen. I wish I'd worn it more on the sides of my face and neck. |

I think a lot of them dress that way for status. Honestly - walk around NYC and the people who look older are the ones who dress older and hobble around Madison Ave in their absurd heels. It's an attitude. I really don't see that every day of the week and I've lived here since 85. My friend came to a Bruce Springsteen concert with me at MSG and wore high heeled boots. With all those steps it was so stupid. Why couldn't she put on a pair of flats? Not her. Heels everywhere - she lives in Scarsdale. I find it odd. How uncomfortable and don't you go telling me it's comfortable for you because you wear them all the time. Big time liars. I have some dark spots on my forehead - I cover them with bangs. There is a new Neutrog. cream out - maybe it works. It's not expensive. |
