The new one was pretty dull, this co-dependent couple, each one afraid the other will leave. I don't think she will make it in the long run. Felt sorry for hubby, such a little runt. I wish they would explain the financial situation, how can they afford the food? Did you see them in the grocery store, seven of this, six of that, etc. |

Yes, weaver! And all of the fast food! That can't be cheap, considering the volume. |

Watched the Angel episode last night. Thought Dr Now was gonna burst a blood vessel when she had the feeding tube put in. |

I still haven't seen Angel. I watched the 30 y.o. man last night. I can't remember his name. He claimed to only be eating 2-3 meals a day. One fast food sandwich each time. But he gained 27 pounds in a month. Sad. Dr. sent out a nutritionist to show him how to read food labels. He said that everything I am eating is bad for me. Have to give him credit. He ended up losing 150 pounds before surgery (to get down to 650) yikes. I have to say that he was a lot more mobile than the 600 lb women. His mom was huge. Dr. N looked at her and right away said, "Who gives you food, your mom?" |

Love Dr Now! I have that one set up to tape. Angel is refreshing. She actually tries very hard. |

I found that one very sad. The guy was so depressed, frankly I'm not sure the weight loss will do the trick. And Mama didn't lose a pound with the low calorie fatty diet. Its probably almost over anyway, but I think I can't take any more of this show. |

I am surprised that therapy and nutritional counseling isn't mandatory with these surgeries. I can't imagine long term success without it. This guy said his father basically ignored him his whole childhood. And the mother was severely obese herself. He lived by himself at home it seemed, and his sister came by because she loved him. What a lonely, depressing life. It isn't until they seem to cry out for psychological counseling that they are sent for it. |

Just watched the Joe episode. Hope he hangs in there and continue to do well. The mom really should be following the eating program also. It looked like by the end, she was in a wheelchair. |

I know. She seemed to get fatter as the episode went on. You would think that living with Joe for that year would inspire her to try to lose weight too. It's such a weird dynamic. |

This is so bad, but I laughed when Joe gained weight and said he'd only been eating grilled sandwiches. And he was forced to eat them because they had been on the road. For what? One day? And it seems like his road trip was a constant feeding bonanza. |

But he was just eating one grilled sandwich a day! My daughter and I have been saying all day "Now Joe, that's mathematically impossible". Edited by andme, Mar 19 2015, 02:15 PM.

Anyone watch the new one? I think her name was Mary? She kept a laundry basket of snacks in her room that she called the "sweet bin". And she was missing every other tooth. She always had manicured nail tips, tho. Edited by andme, Mar 20 2015, 09:48 AM.
