I'm totally in love with this show and can finally watch complete episodes now that RHofBH is over (competing time slots). The talent is just as good as other singing competitions imho, but the mean-spiritedness from the judges is mercifully absent. In fact, I like The Voice because they dwell on the positive side of each vocalist AND the four coaches work as a cohesive, supportive team instead of lobbing insults at each other and the contestants. What totally hooked me was a couple of weeks ago when Christina and Adam were doing some major good-natured trash talking. Christina went over to Adam when the segment was over. Her mic was still on and we heard her say to Adam, "I was just kidding. You know I love you." I cannot imagine in any universe hearing Simon Cowell making such a sincere comment. The music business is so full of evil and heartbreak. The Voice proves that there's absolutely no reason to contribute to that in the name of finding good talent and generating ratings. Thank God. |

I do not know who I would choose, if I could pick between the four coaches. They all have good points, all have bad points. CeLo seems the strongest as a producer, but Christina has the goods for contacts. So does Adam. The other guy, probably has the best "in" in Country music, which is huge. The show I watched, this odd girl got up there and sang and from the first note I was hooked. LITERALLY, the FIRST note. I was shocked when only two of them pushed their buttons, 'cause that girl was really something. |

That country guy is Blake Sheldon - he's huge in country, and is married to Maranda Lambert (another country singer). I agree that CeLo would be my top pick only because he has such a diverse range under his belt. Word is that Christina is a diva to the other judges, and I can so see that. |

Although I think Blake is awesome and the funniest smartass this side of (can't think of a name to fill in the blank right now), I can NOT figure out his rationale for choosing one singer over the other in battle rounds. Last year he chose Xenia and Dia. OK, whatever. Xenia was young and raw. Dia had some experience but she didn't ring my bell by any means. And then last night Blake chose RaeLynn over Adley Stump (you can't make up a name like that lolol). Adley had the power but also the presence and the versatility. RaeLynn is this year's version of Xenia. WTF? I wonder if he's doing this on purpose? I wonder if his strategy is to choose the semi-talented that he can train and mold, instead of the already super-talented singers who don't need as much guidance? I wonder if he's just a sucker for pretty young things? lolol And I don't mean that in a lascivious way. It's just that the pattern is so obvious to me. |

Funny you should say that about Blake, because I had just recently read that he has a wondering eye when it comes to the women. And, honestly I didn't want to believe it, but who knows. Put me on the list of can't figure out why or how he picks the winner. I was totally confused a couple times on the last epi. |

OMG, I thought the same thing about Xenia last year. I could NOT figure out why she kept advancing because she just wasn't that great. And Rae Lynn? Even SHE thought she sucked, she was more surprised than anyone that he kept her instead of Adley. I hope it's not because he wants to get in her pants, I think she said she's only 17! On an odd side note, Taylor Armstrong had tweeted something about rooting for her friend Adley on The Voice. Adley is an Oklahoma State cheerleader! That actually knocked her down a notch IMO. |

Oh I don't really think he's getting into anyone's pants besides his wifes, or atleast that's what I want to think! They have only been married for maybe less than a year, and eventhough I've read he has a wondering eye, I want to think his penis stays home. |

Who's perfect? Even my crush Adam has all those awful tattoos. So glad he covers them on the show so I can dream. What a pity one of those guys had to go home at the end. Even worse is that I thought Itunes would sell the battle but they only sell the winner's version. What do they do? Cut out the other guy or have them do a retake? I was so bummed. That other guy could have made some money and he was awesome. This is my first year watching the show so I don't really know how it goes yet but that just pissed me off since so many sucky people are there and that great singer went home. I couldn't even hear that Adley girl but I guess since Miranda trained her he picked her to appease his wife. |

Bravo, of all channels, reran the showdown episode so I watched it, coming in at the point where Blake was choosing between young & perky blonde and older & better singer brunette -- and I said "he'll pick Y&P" ... and he did! His wife has such a sour expression all the time. I noticed her face at the Grammy's, as she walked by him interviewing someone and wondered "what's up with them?" then was stunned to hear later they're MARRIED! Gak. She's not a happy person, IMO. Anyway, I agreed with every choice through the show, until the last one. IMO Anthony was much better than Jessie. But Jessie has the "single father" cache. On a side note, gotta say -- Christina really works those boobs! |

Well, one predictable decision and one decision that actually went the way I think it SHOULD have... Christina chose little Sera Mini-Me diva over the equally polished and talented (but much older and male) contestant in her first battle round last night. Heavy sigh, because I'm old. I relate to old people. I wanted him to have a real shot at winning this. Sera is just starting her life and has a couple decades to still screw up and come back several times. Christina must be picking up on Blake's selection strategy through osmosis (pretty young things). Maybe they should have Christina and Celo switch chairs for a while. lol But finally, Adam chose the 50-year-old Kim -- whoa, what a powerhouse voice -- over the earnest but out-matched younger girl (her name was Whitney, I think?). |

I'm probably one of 5 or 6 people who DIDN'T watch Dancing with the Stars tonight. The Voice is MY show. They're finally into the live shows. Damn, Erin Willett absolutely killed it. Lots of good talent here, though. Oh what the heck here's a link if you want to throw a couple of votes Erin's way. Voting is open until tomorrow morning. http://www.nbc.com/the-voice/vote/ |

Just as I (and probably many others) suspected: Blake chose that dippy little RaeLynn twit because he reminds her of his wife Miranda Lambert. From his Twitter feed: "Ha! Ha! Still laughing about @RaeLynnOfficial mouthing "oh shit!" tonight on the show... So much like Miranda it's crazy!!!" Cute, sassy little blonde who absolutely has not developed chops worthy of competing on this show. |
