So our satellite went out for awhile last night and the DVR didn't record the results show. Who got eliminated? How do those work now, 2 from each team go home? Do the judges have any say in who goes at this point?

RaeLynn (barf), Erin and Jordis from Blake's team went through, I think. I'm very pleased about Erin. IMHO she's the only one who sang well both technically and artistically. Christina? Let's see if I can remember: Ashley, the opera guy (don't remember his name) and...Jermaine? Jesse?

I don't know. Didn't pay close enough attention, I guess. lol

How did RaeLynn get through if it was just the public voting or did Blake somehow have a hand in that? I know she's young but she really just grates on my nerves.

They're saying on TwoP that Vote for the Worst is encouraging people to vote for RaeLynn. That would explain it!

Whoa. Xtina just eliminated the guy who was considered the heir apparent for the title of season 2! Jesse Campbell is o-u-t.

Not that I care. Everybody went apeshit over his performance last week of "It's a Wonderful World." I thought it was mediocre. Perhaps Christina concurred? Anyway the audience was stunned. Could've heard a pin drop.

Hey y'all, this is finals week! The final four performed tonight, winner will be announced tomorrow night.

The one thing I noticed about season 2 is that the caliber of singers was SO much better than last year. The final four performances tonight were flat-out awesome. Those four are guaranteed careers in the music biz no matter who wins.

If I voted (which I don't), I'd probably vote for Christina's guy, whose name I think is Chris Mann. More familiarly known as Opera Guy because that's his musical background. lol But he has been quite versatile and everything he sang was first-rate, actually downright thrilling.

Anybody else watching?

I'm watching. I like all 4 of the final 4 so I don't know who I'm rooting for.

I would like to know why Christina has such a stick up her ass regarding Tony Luca. She's had it out for him pretty much since she was reminded they were on the MM Club together back in the day.

I think if I were auditioning for that show, I'd never pick Christina to be my coach. Christina is always Christina's #1 priority. I've noticed the other coaches let their singers take center stage and shine and Christina practically shoves hers out of the way so she can have her front and center solo.

Willy, I read that there was a lot of frat-house-boy mentality & behavior going on, behind the scenes. Tony and Adam were making comments, etc. Even Juliette twittered about it the other day. She didn't like it, either.

I don't know if there's anything to it or if it's sour grapes. But since Tony didn't win...maybe it's not as big a deal the day after the finals? lol

So I bawled like a baby when Jermaine won and he was trying to sing while hugging and dancing with his wife on stage. I loved that.

They're back!

I wandered in and out of last night's premiere episode -- multi-tasking around the house. The girl from Jamaica who sang "No Woman, No Cry"?? She was so much better, so moving, when she sang the song a capella. Unfortunately do-overs don't count on "The Voice." It made me wonder if the producers insisted that she sing the song with a band? I wonder if they mistakenly thought a capella performance would be too boring for TV (idiots!)? Or maybe they knew exactly what they were doing -- that she wouldn't be chosen but they would encourage her to come back next season, thus securing viewer interest for her over two seasons? Who knows what evil thoughts lurk in their heads. Alls I know (TM Luann) is that she was deeply moving in her second performance of this tune. Girl deserved to stay around.

Anybody else watching this season? I'm totally loving it. They scrapped all the sniping between coaches. Now they're back to focusing on the vocalists (what a concept! lol) and fun bantering between the four coaches. Some really great musical finds. Another blind audition episode tonight.

Sorry Vander - I checked out about 1/3 of the way last season and just can't get back into it. I think as I get more and more into the Howives I find myself pulling away from the comp reality shows - particularly the signing ones. Even Idol - i didn't watch the finale or last two episodes last season...that's a biggie for me.

I watch too many shows and was unable to record but i watched on youtube the next day. One of singers, MacKenzie Bourg chosen by Ceelo is from here. I've known his parents socially for many years. His mama is one of the sweetest ladies around.

There's another person, Leila Broussard from Lafayette that was chosen by Blake.

A couple of years ago on Idol, Jaycee Badeaux who was treated badly by Scotty McCree or whatever his name is and someone else is from Lafayette. Seems we have a lot of talent here!
