Anyone else going to watch this? Premieres tomorrow at 9 on Bravo.

Quote:

Everyone's favorite obsessive-compulsive house-flipper is moving in with his clients. Bravo's Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis follows Jeff Lewis and Jenni Pulos as they move into someone else's home and Jeff does what he does best -- judge their flaws and redesign their space.

He'll observe the homeowners, diagnose their problems, and then take over their house for five days -- with the goal of improving them inside and out. Of course he does this by using a combination of brutal honesty, impeccable design, and a few unique solutions that only Lewis could come up with. His trusted assistant Pulos, and his loyal housekeeper, Zoila Chavez, are along for the ride to make sure he doesn't go too far over the line. This time, Lewis is not just redesigning a space; he's redesigning people's lives.

I think they may have jumped the shark with this one. It's almost like they're trying too hard to keep Jeff Lewis and his schtick relevant.

Anybody here a former fan of Trading Spaces? Remember when Paige Davis returned to the show and they changed the format somewhat? All of a sudden Paige was not just the host, but also a sort of glorified marriage/family counselor. This big series redesign lasted one season and then apparently Trading Spaces was cancelled.

I get the feeling this is what they're trying to do with Jeff/Jenni in this new show. As fucked up as he is? No way would I buy into his life makeover. Not as the homeowner, not as a viewer.

I'm going to DVR it, since nothing comes between me and Modern Family on Wednesday nights.

I love Modern Family! Used to like The Middle...but Patricia Heaton is making that very hard...

Well, at least Jeff should be interesting. He's never dull.

I love Sue. And her wrestling boyfriend is adorable.

Watching Interior Therapy now. Not too bad, surprisingly. And I was never the biggest fan of Jenny, but she's tolerable on this show.

I thought Jeff's show was terrible. What I'd like to see is more details of the design and how stuff is picked. This was all rush, rush, rush. If Jeff said one more time "we aren't going to finish on time," I was going to scream. Is he reduced to doing jobs like this?

I don't want these rush rush projects.

That woman was a beatch. An anorexic beatch.

Yeah, I hate it when they have faux deadlines.

On WWHL, they compared the wife to Parker Posey.

Poor dude was whipped...

Please let me never hear Jenni rap again.

Is this going to be the theme of the whole season? I hope we see the bf and the dogs and cats and more of Zoila, not just doing a supposedly comic turn.

I like Jeff and his gang, and think they could do so much better with a show than this.

Haven't watched the episode yet (I'm working over 33 hours this week... part time, right?) nor have I watched the DVR'd episode of the Middle.
I now feel the same way about Patricia Heaton. She can definitely have her views and her say, but I can have my say by deciding not to watch her show. Do I want to take the moral high road, or succumb to my love of trash pop culture?

I love Jeff. But he's very hard on Jenni and Zoila. I don't find that too funny, since being mean to people is not comic, IMO.

I saw most of the episode with the uptight couple and three kids and that was okay. But tonight I saw the one with the millionaire hoarder and really enjoyed it. Jeff lounging around was a bit much, but I thought the guy was lovely and his wife had an understandable problem. I understood where he was coming from, too -- coincidentally I was cleaning out stuff from my space and was motivated to throw out some stuff I might have kept. So that was good.

I hated the Rape statue. I know it's a famous scene, but it's not a good statue subject, IMO. $15 million or not.

The next show does not look good. Between the overly emotional guy and the girl with the ferret teeth, I don't think I could stand to watch.

ETA: I find it funny that they're running the antiperspirant commercial with Jenni in it during this show!

Yeah, I liked this episode more than last week's. If Jeff and Jenni had cut out the hi-jinx and just focused on that beautiful house, it would have been much better.

I thought this week's episode was very entertaining. I liked and sympathized with both members of the couple. For all his money, Bob seemed like a very accessible, "normal" (whatever that is) person. I liked the scenes of them just sitting around the kitchen having breakfast.
I would kill to have a private tour of that house and see all of Bob's collection.

That guy was a mental patient! I wonder how quickly he started to sneak back his Auntie's things. Something sick in that relationship! poor kid he was.

I hated the new design. Hated. Esp. the yellow wallpaper in the office. Gak.
