I used to work at 60 Wall, when it was JP Morgan's building and later when it was Deutsch Bank's building. I thought I saw it through the windows, but maybe I was wrong -- does that mean 75 is near Water Street or down further by the FDR?

When they said "lacquer" I LOL'd -- that is seriously '80s and seriously funky. Very shiny, but so plasticky, too.

Last night's show (June 4th) seemed more scripted than usual to me.
It did to me too Freely.

Why would Luis get access to that apartment near Lincoln Center just because Ryan had a client?

Well he did have a prior relationship with the developer - he made the introduction for Ryan on the pocket listing. She probably gave him access 1)for the show and 2) to gauge Ryan's seriousness. In a roundabout way, Luis did bring a buyer to the developer - something he had failed to do previously. Plus, I think she just likes him. I know I do.

ETA: Icy, that must be weird to see the building where you used to work become a residential real estate.

No, no, the building where I worked was seen out the window, or I thought -- it's still Deutsche Bank's NA headquarters.

75 Wall is on the corner of Wall and Water, on the north side. You can see 40 Wall from there. 95 Wall is across the street, closer to the river at the entrance to the Seaport (I worked there too, its also a rental/coop now). They slapped a Wall Street address on every possible Water Street building. I also worked at the JPMorgan headquarters on Wall, that was a gorgeous building. And I worked at One Chase Plaza and Two Chase Plaza (originally called 20 Pine, then Two Chase Plaza and now again called 20 Pine and a condo).

FInally caught up on my DVR'd episodes so came here to post. I love this show, scripted or not, just to see the properties and the life I don't get to live.

I like Luis. Even though he probably comes up to my belly button. :) That developer who kept calling him Ricky Ricardo certainly was a douche and props to Luis for not totally exploding and telling him to F-off.

Ah... Frederik and his spouse. Now they get to see what hetero couples go through. One wanting child (the one who gets to go out and have a life) and one not wanting to have a child as the career is heating up. I can understand his husband; he knows how much time Frederik devotes to his business and probably knows he is going to be the one left with the majority of child care, while Frederik traipsies in to see the child bathed and ready for bed. (Sounds like the 50's!) However, I thought it was a shit move to bring a puppy home without discussion. A pet is another family member and requires attention as does a child.

Cosmo... I love House Hunters International!! Especially in the winter when they have their tropical homes marathons!

The CAO of the property company needed a serious eyebrow intervention.

I really don't care about Ryan's fake life.

Part I of the reunion was really moving. I think Fredrik just does not get how his insults wrapped in apologies fail to appease, LOL.

I like Luis a lot more than I ever did and I'm amazed. He had great things to say and was very honest, I thought. But so, too were Fred and Ryan. RYAN! Shocking how funny and on he was. I think Andy was really loving his job that night, all the "candy" set around, esp. Derek, whom Andy admits he finds "perfect" …

For Fredrick it might be about the sales, but for me, I agree with Ryan -- rather see the interesting sales.

Though I suspect Ryan makes enough money to buy pants in a larger size!

I just tweeted Fredrick and said he and Derek should get a nanny staff of a Swedish and US nanny, 24/7 and then they can have the baby but also be able to go to work when they need to without worry. I feel bad for him.

I enjoyed the reunion. It made me think a lot of the stuff is NOT scripted. Now I wonder. Ryan came across very well. And I love Luis. I think Freddie will have the baby within a few years, maybe two or three. After all, he is only 37. I always thought he was around that age, so I wonder what the truth is. His BF is one hunk.
Ryan didn't like it when Frederik said he'd overpriced that ridiculous apt with the glass door. I guess it has not sold. I pretty much thought all that was fake, guess not. And I thought the son in the Central Park West apartment that had to co list with Luis was fake, I guess he isn't, or is he? I'm totally confused.

weaver, I think the sad, loser son is for real. Didn't Luis mention that he got another listing from them and has to work with the son again?

I like Luis. I hope as time goes on he doesn't get jaded and lose his honesty and optimism.

When Luis said that, that's when I realized he might not have been fake. I'm still not sure though, he was too much of an ignoramus to be real. Even a fake son would have been told to look sharp and stand up straight for TV. Papa could not have been dumb if he accumulated a few properties. Wish I had.

As a teacher I've known some really sharp kids whose parents were like "throw-backs" and some very sharp parents whose kids were dodos. It's those recessive genes, ya know ;)

I finally watched the reunion and I agree with all of you guys. While I think a lot of the outlines are scripted (as in, Ryan taking dance lessons etc) the guys are not. And they are becoming more likeable - even Fredrick a little although Luis (and Icy) are correct, wrapping insults in apologies rarely works.

I thought it was just my TV but then last week Andy said he got a lot of tweets about Ryan's fake tanner on the reunion. Lol, poor guy.

Sometimes knowing you are going to inherit a whole lot of dough inhibits the motivation. I never had that problem. Total inheritance = zero.

Jeez Luis is really is mess. One girlfriend fucked him up that much?

I'm not really even sure what he was crying about.

I still think Ryan's a jerk and the nice GF is just fooling herself.

Freddie is still my fav. He seems bewildered by the fact that Luis is so quick to forgive Ryan, but feels Fredrik's apology was not sincere.

Fredrik was correct in his comment that Ryan's behavior isn't professional.

And Ryan will burn Luis again.

Last night I was watching a doc about ballerina Tanaquil LeClercq, who was married to George Balanchine in the 1950s and 60s. At one point they showed the outside of their building and it was the Apthorp which was the historical, renovated building Fredrick was so excited about selling. I admit I got excited at recognizing it too.
