And I'm sure the Capri has a nice low-cal menu. Chicken skewers for everyone!

Did you see those lobsters? CCC what restaurant was that? Looked like Soho.

Glad they all sold their apts.

Luis familly was nice, I believe him more now. And Frederik's bf is a hunk. Frederik, get a pre-nup!

Even Ryan wasn't that bad, except for his scarf and pigeon Spanish, and his "Venezuela is in South America." Please tell me it is scripted.

LOL, SO scripted. Even that whole bike ride and Fredrick talking the West Coast buyers into buying for $400k more than they offered. He had a point - that block is "it" in Soho, IMO.

Two of the most scripted scenes I've ever seen had Frederick in them - yet he wasn't the one who appeared scripted - it was the other agents. Both of them females: the one on the double bike with him and the episode when Freddy was trying to sell the apartment with big windows. Remember the lady agent that went out in the rain to stand across the street to determine if she could see in the windows? Both these women should stick to selling real estate.

Yeah that woman was so awkward on the bike on the cobblestone streets. I can hardly walk on them, never mind ride.

I was just looking at the building, and the penthouse is still available, over $12mil.

I'm gonna be down in Soho today, I may check it out.

Oh, I didn't see the post. I went by the building, it looks very nice, but didn't take pics. The block is "relatively" quiet, there is retail on most of the ground floor.

I'd still rather be further west, less tourist traffic. But this is very subway convenient.

This week the Ryan apartment is one block from my apartment. When they mentioned the address, I thought "there are no high rises on that block," and I swear I had to look it up to remind myself. Then I remembered, they constructed this UGLY, HORRIBLE apartment building right before the real estate crash. It was Russian developers. We all called it the ugliest building in NYC. Its really on Second Avenue. They got it up just before the crash, and I swear not one apartment sold for two years. On the 49th street side, its adjacent to the three old brownstones of Katherine Hepburn (sold after she died), Kurt Vonnegut (sold after he died) and Sondheim (who still lives there as far as I know). This high rise must have ruined their common back yard which was gorgeous.

No apt in that building is going to sell for $15million. It had to be all a set up for Ryan to exercise his acting chops.

As for 250 Bowery.........duhhhhhh, its sad when you have to close your windows or else there is too much noise. I like my windows open.

Frederik is getting funnier and funnier, but it IS a bit OTT.

Glad Luis got a good sale, he is growing on me.

I still don't like Luis. I was upset for Ryan, even if it was all phony, that Frederick jacked him up on the price and choice of 1-bedrooms.

weaver, do you mean the one that furnished with fugly 90s stuff and looked like no one lived there except the closet which looked like a mess? Do you think they really paid 19 million for that?

Right, that one. I think no one ever lived there, or if they did, they are a friend of the owner and rented for a song. They could not give these apartments away. No really rich person has wires all over the place. My friend lives on the front of my building and said for two years she never saw a light on in there at night.

Now I suppose apartments are selling in there because everything is selling in Manhattan, but $15M, no way.

I just went by there this AM, and realized they named the block "Katherine Hepburn Way." I had never noticed the sign before.

Here is a little history of the building"

Oh god - guess I'm going to have to start watching this. I swore it off because I was so depressed I couldn't buy and can barely rent anymore. Maybe I'll watch it on in demand if it's on and FF thru the parts I don't want to see so I can join in the discussion.

Thanks weaver!

The comments are interesting too, including one that said the apartment was used in an episode of CBS's Person of Interest

It certainly didn't look like anyone was living there on MDL either. How creepy would it be to be the only (or one of a few) occupied apartments in an otherwise empty building? Or more likely the whole story was staged for Ryan. Pfffft.

I accidently started watching this during a mini marathon of the season and got sucked in even though I know zilch about NYC real estate I am fascinated by it and the prices.

ccc, almost every Wednesday there is a marathon of this show.

I love this show, but have a psychological block and forget it's on every week. Have to stay up late to catch the repeat. They don't offer it ON DEMAND here. :(
