I've got to catch up on this show! I've set my dvr to record reruns of the 2 episodes I missed and to record the rest of the season.

I watched this, too. So. Erica, the one who stole the boyfriend in high school - she really *was* gorgeous then, I thought, in those photos, and I'm really curious about how she lost so much prettiness between 18-28 or whatever.

Par for the course on Bravo, I don't get most of the styling choices made by these women. I've been in and around Manhattan for a long time, and the young women I've known of who were open about looking for a successful, young Jewish man to marry, had and have their looks *on point* with military precision. Straight long hair, high end and not too trendy clothes, accessories and jewelry, and subtle makeup, deviating only for certain kinds of nights out. And they hit the gym hard, and are as often as not thin either because of that or because of the Bethenny style diet that a lot of NYC 20-30 something women follow, where they basically starve so they can still drink. So I was also impressed in a way that the women were quite comfy in bikinis with normal-nice but not skinny-with-boobs bodies. That was the one thing I initially liked about "Jersey Shore," that the girls (before they got skinny), seemed so much more comfortable in their skin than other TV types.

I do think if the goal is a husband who is spendy and shallow enough to care about them, these women need to start worshiping at the fashion and style altar of Charlotte (York) Goldenblatt.

Camo, I think Erica is not 29 and I think that cigarettes and alcohol really take their toll on your looks. I think everyone on this show subtracted 5 years from their age.

Camo, I so thought the same thing about Erica. The picture they showed of her in high school she was gorgeous. Then they shot to her swilling her wine....and I think there we have the answer. Hard living (booze, cigs and who knows what else) I guess can do that to you.
I'm loving that Channel did a Shabbat meal for them, that she can maintain that while hanging with all her shallow friends. (Of course she could be equally shallow as well, but I think her religion kind of grounds her a bit more, IMHO).

They've written to the sponsors and there is a lot more anti-show press on that Facebook page.

:D so cute

We were out in Dix Hills and Stonybrook. The first was definitely more JAP-y than the second.

Oh I know Dix Hills very well - 3 of my HS friends live there and Melville and 2 of my college roommates grew up there. Think they went to something hollow hills hs.

They have two - Half Hollow Hills East and West. I was never old enough to go to high school there. It seemed like all of Dix Hills had Nassau county transplants. I think the typical move was Brooklyn/Queens to Nassau and then wanting a bigger house to suffolk. It is a different world, Lawn Guyland. It is so hard to get on and off of because of traffic that people become very insular. Like going to the city is a big deal.

no comments about last night's episode?

I just can't look away from this train wreck. I missed Erica's picture, but folks here and on TWOP are talking about how cute she was.

The one with the gay guy - she gets uglier and uglier as the season progresses. And the make out session by the pool. Yuck.

I haven't seen it yet. Fr.'s day and the U.S. Open threw us all in a tizzy.

Shopper, did you notice the gay boyfriend's butt crack when they were laying by the pool? And she finds that sexy? And I agree, she gets uglier with every viewing.

Erica was so pretty when she was young...

I'm finding if I like any of these girls, for some reason it's Joey.

I think Joey is the Bethenny character.

The gay boyfriend Jeffffff was the bartender last night on WWHL.
