Betty Crocker Potato Buds (mashed potatoes (enough for 6 servings) 1/2 tsp. Garlic Salt 1 Tbsp. chopped Fresh Parsley 1 c. shredded Sharp Cheddar or American Cheese (4 oz.) 1 & 1/2 c. Corn Flakes Cereal (crushed) 1 Tbsp. Margarine or Butter (softened) 1/2 tsp. Ground Mustard 1/2 tsp. Paprika Heat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare potatoes as directed on package for 6 servings - except omit salt and add garlic salt. Stir in parsley and cheese into potatoes. Spread potato mixture in 1 1/2 - quart ungreased casserole. Stir remaining ingredients together; sprinkle over potato mixture. Bake for 20 minutes. Makes 8 servings. (I got this recipe from WIC a few years back. I make this dish with Meatloaf, Sausage, Corn Beef and Bratwurst. I don't do the Corn Flake topping anymore. Instead I just top it with some Paprika. This is a family favorite.) |
