Yeah, I'd agree. Been on a training course for the last 6 weeks, and most of the people around my age were on Myspace or Facebook. And they'd run hot and cold with relationships and fight with each other. One girl in particular would sometimes never leave me alone, but then would turn around and treat me like a hatstand. And people could quite happily just walk out the door and cut themselves off from everybody. IMO we don't form friendships anymore; just tactical alliances and agreements for as long as it suits us. |

Yeah, everything's fucked up now a days. That's why I have an irrational fear of talking to new people, I don't want to get shot and have no idea as to why. |

Yeah but when humans fail to take an interest in each other, we're up shit's creek. Humanity is successful because humans care about each other. When we treat everybody as an expendable object that's useful for a few moments to distract us, we're going to collapse in on ourselves. |

I'm just sick of being politically correct, damn it. Not every white child must have a black friend, an asiatic friend, and a crippled friend. Politically Correctness, in my opinion, is a Marxist theory. It's taking the majorities and minorities- the highs and lows, and mixing it up to be equal. People are insolent to think that entire assimilation is possible. Is it good in theory? Who's to say? But, seriously, you're going to have cliques regardless. |

haha, political correctness is as it says: the governments decision of what's right or wrong. besides point, i have a ton of asian friends, my best friend is black (this implies that i'm a cracker) political correctness is basically an attempt at worse to try and avoid racism/stereotypes i think. |

Well, with people getting pissed off at every small thing nowadays, I think that political correctness is just the "peaceful alternative" in situations. Not to stereotype, but it's well known that many blacks get severely offended just by mentioning their skin color. |

I'm adding another thing to the list of things that don't need to happen: "FREE" AMBULANCE SERVICE. Here in Queensland, provided you're paying for electricity and are a resident, you're paying for the ambulance service and can get carted away for no other cost. Naturally, everybody treats it as a free taxi service. The end result is that the public healthcare system (also "free" if you don't count taxes) is an absolute mess with huge waiting times. You do not need an ambulance. You do not need a doctor. You need to GO TO BED AND REST, or alternatively die in a fire, whichever costs less. |

Ambulances are free here if it's a medical emergency. So yeah, call an ambulance for funs is going to cost you, but if somebody has fainted or something along the lines of that is usually covered by insurance. |

I suppose you don't have ramping and huge waiting lists for hospitals? That's the biggest argument for making the ambulance service back into a fee-based service; reducing workload by removing pointless cases. But back then hardly anybody subscribed to the service, so there wasn't enough money in the service to keep the equipment and vehicles updated, and most people just drove themselves or died instead of getting the proper care. |

no, we just have no one able to afford a trip to the hospital. Unless of course, you count the line of injured war vets trying to get in, that's just another chapter in the same story. |
