You look like the actor who plays Harry Potter.

Yes, Soldant, circus camps are one of the most common and widespread camps in the United States. Nearly every American has or will attend circus camp at least once in their lifetime. Circus camp is, to us, what soccer, is to the rest of the world.

So... wait, Jkamo are you serious? Are circus camps really big? Becuase I'll have to go with CJA on this one, I've never heard of a circus camp.

it depends where you look, there are circus schools all over where you can go after school or on weekends. But smirkus camp has a different way of running, it only does summer camp.

It's mostly a Northern concept.
Circus camp builds many skills including great leadership qualities. For example, you get to learn how to bake pies in order to throw them in people's faces (Despite it being whipped cream pies in real circuses). Hell, I still have a few "Lil' lion tamer" awards somewhere for being able to successfully crack a whip 17 times in a minute
Most camps feature stuff like acrobatic training equipment, like a bar horizontally suspended from a high-tension metal wire upon which one could swing upside down.
Ringling Bros (and Barnum & Bailey) are the sponsors of most of them. The best of them- or those who don't grow up after so long- make it into the show if they so choose. Those who outgrow the circus often take clown classes and become entertainment clowns, mimes, rodeo clowns.
Nobody runs away to join the circus, Soldant. 1930 ended a long, long time ago. How do you think these folk are recruited?

I had no idea. Here in Australia kids either joined a sporting club, the Scouts (and really, you don't want to join them...) or later on decided to join the SES and pretend you were important in an emergency.

I haven't been on a camp sinde 2003. Unless you count 12 hour shifts with a quick nap on the couch on break as a camp.

I went camping this summer.
Then the round ended and everyone whined because I killed them over and over again from sitting in my little spot.
