ok, sooo... when i was a boy, i would go to the arcade and play this amazing helicopter arcade game, actually it was the first arcade game I ever beat (with 100 quarters) .

unfortunately I can't remember the name of it, I remember it had 2 modes, like the original contra, it had a SHMUP mode top down, and an attack mode where it was cookie-cutter 3d graphics, the arcade machine had a seat and a long joystick.

can anyone help find this game? the graphics would probably be SNES/Genesis

Have you looked through here?

I wish I could help, but I didn't grow up in the arcades. I know how difficult it is to find an old game. I was looking for BreakThru on the NES for the longest time (not the brick game). I just happened upon it one day. Now it sits on my hard drive and my Wii. I'd like to get the original arcade cabinet.

that's the problem, some games, the name is really obscure, virtual on for instance doesn't hint that much at robot fighting, and on the gamecube and ps2, fireblade is a 3d helicopter game.

and no, it's not battletoads.
