since there will be a confessional thread for each week, i thought this be a good place to jot down random findings of group think.

"Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers." - Homer J. Simpson

i started a thread about the liquor supply. why? cuz i got terribly hammered last night to forget about such a crumby day. i figure the day was a waste, so the night was wasted.

"I wanna get chocolatey wasted!!"- little girl from Grown Ups.

and that i did. in three hours i managed to throat two bottles of wine and four shots of tequila. the hangover has not kicked in yet. i have reserved a 3pm meeting for that.

in other news, crystal got back to me on the official alliance. she wants to bring in MD. which is a great idea. MD has been instrumental in ideas of how the challenge will run and takes it one step further to supply us with the info we may or may not need.

either way, she is an asset to Akaban and it would be a nice five-some with crystal, deena, linda, MD and me.

hopefully our group think will work in our favor and kick some booty and take initials. why initials? cuz' we're moving too fast to take the whole name. HA!

i feel dumb. i just realized that i've been calling this tribe "Akaban"... others must think i'm a ditsy blonde. well, that could play into my hands.

should i keep referring to the tribe that way until someone corrects me?

it reminds me of a survivor question- "Do you know how to make fire?" no, i don't and i don't want to know. leave that up to someone else so that they feel empowered.

once the fire is started, just keep the coals going and you're safe.

that's part of my real game plan. let other people do their contributing part. for example: a carpenter, let them be the leader on how to construct the hut. the fisher-person, let them be in control of supplying meat. the chef, in charge of cooking rice.

all the while, i'll collect as much fire wood as possible and keep a keen eye on what everyone else is doing. i'm a quick learner, and when those people are booted off, i'll step in and take over their "chores" thus making me an essential provider.

but that can backfire as someone else may be playing my exact game, but waiting for someone like me to step in first and target myself.

man... how i (like everyone else) want to play this game so badly, it darn near hurts. this is the first time that i have ever written or said out loud my strategy to anyone.

Brobst, can you name me a player or two who has successfully pulled off my described game plan?

linda just wrote me and i assume it went to crystal and deena as well. since deena will be gone tonight, we all agree that if for some random reason we lose tonight, amy gets all our votes... including deena's pre-vote.

there will not be a tie. amy sandbagged us last week (albeit accidentally), so she is on the block in our eyes.

regardless of when our next TC is, amy is the next vote anyway.

Hmmmmmm...I can't think of anyone on CBS who specifically did that. But then again if they did, it's probably stuff that doesn't get aired. They really don't care about the "survival" aspect anymore. I can't remember the last time there was even a storyline about building shelter or such. I'm all for strategy, but the episodes now are just "who's with who right off the bat."

In watching some earlier seasons on DVD recently, I kinda miss that "documentary style" that they had going on in some old school seasons.

i completely agree. seems castaways in the last several seasons get food every two days, so why should they scavenge and find resources?

outback is my absolute favorite season. talk about surviving the elements and game play.

great challenges and losing your camp to flash flood? excellent *rubs hands like montgomery burns*
