Looks like they've tidied up this Zombiethon no end. Though it kinda looks like they've smoothed it all up by removing a fair old wedge of those hundreds and hundreds of on-screen zombies.

Have a look at over here (trailer 3).

It even looks pretty damn funny in places (zombies with traffic cones on their heads? Gotta be done).

Watched one of the trailers last night! Looks very entertaining! Love the zombie thang, quiet superb - but I wonder how long, despite the plethera of ways to take out the undead, it will be before it becomes a bit samey?

And if I may say so, what a charming smashing blouse you've got on

lol that looks fantastic. Gotta love those hedge trimmers! :D

I can see it being repetitive but it could be a great pick up and play title.

The first true next-generation game - look at the amount of stuff going on that simply wasn't possible on previous hardware. Awesome looking fun, this. Apparently the game can be finished in 2-3hrs. HOWEVER, Capcom want you to play through it many, many times as its a completley open ended game where you can play how you want.

There are loads of people to save and information to dig up, but you don't have to do it if you don't wish to play that way.

Sounds cool to me :)

This game is currently on my want list, although I'm keeping an eye on the similar sounding Possession as well.

Yikes! 2-3 hours eh?

Capcom can talk about multiple play throughs till their bollocks turn blue, cos 2-3 hours is waaaay lame. About the only game that I reckon could get away with that kinda stunted "story driven" play time would be GTA, but even that's got a whopping non-just-pissing-about-with-stuff play time.

I think that Psi-Ops is about the only game I've finished more than once, you know. I guess it depends on how much of a sandbox Dead Rising can provide to make up for that movie-length play time.

Looks like a loooot of fun, but that 2-3 hours thing sounds a bit iffy. I'm guessing thats if u just charge through it without having any zombie fun?

Have a read of the press release/info on IGN, it sounds really interesting. You don't HAVE to play it through in 2-3hrs, but you can if you want to. You can just fuck about killing zombies with lawn mowers and eat pizza if you want to. Or if you can try and save all 100 people and find and use all the weapons. If you want to. Or do and find everything, and kill everything. If you want to. It's totally up to you.

I'd of thought with all the people playing open ended titles like GTA these days more of these games would be what people want. Sounds great fun to me. It's basically a game version of Dawn of the Dead, and I couldn't think of a better developer to make the title.

Game length shouldn't really be a factor anyway. How great is Ico? You can finish that in around 3hrs. Or Resident Evil 2? 2hrs ish.. I bet most people finished those titles multiple times, I know I did because they were so enjoyable.

What?!! :o Yer 'avin' a larf! It took me over 10 hours to finish Resi 2, and Ico took me more than 3 hours too.

Yeah you can easily nail Resi 2 in two hours. Piece of piss, used to do it with my eyes closed. As for Ico, again can easily be completed in 3hrs. I did it in 4hrs last year and was farting around with it for ages :)

When you know what you're doing Resident Evil 2 could be completed within a couple of hours but on first play, no way.

I remember because I unlocked 99% of the extras including Tofu man and the STARS soldier bonus modes which were both rock btw.

I was excited about this game until I read about the whole replay thing and the 3 hours stuff. I hated Majoras Mask for making me do the same things over and over againnn...zzzzzz.

This sounds too familiar. I want to do new things as I play through a game, not kep repeating myself. One of the list until it hits the bargain bins methinks.
