I find games like DMC a little boring as well to be honest. I think the problem is with games like that, is that its easy to button mash through them and not learn any of the nuances at all. So it all feels a bit pointless, and going through the motions to me.

Still playing Ni No Kuni here and absolutely loving it. Such an old school JRPG feel for it, and that is why I'm liking it so much. Feels good to be immersed in a gorgeous world and have a proper overworld to explore as well.

Been playing some Skulls of Shogun on my phone as well. It's actually a lot of fun, but in my old age I ate that I have to reach for my glasses every time I want to fucking play it. Reading glasses are a pain in the arse.

Aliens CM is awful
would get a 2 out of 10 on the understanding that 1 point is for the music and 1 for the sound effects and thats on a double xp day !
I took it back and got a swap for Dead Space III

Love Hitman - although twds the end it did turn much more into a shooter than I would have prefered

Does anyone here play Fifa 13 ? and if so the Ultimate Team ? Are you great at it and bored with 1000s of coins to spend ? If so do you fancy gifting me 100K so I can get a Rooney :)

I've actually quite enjoyed what little of Hitman I've played so far, surprised as I'm not Mr. Stealthy.

Not looking forward to Aliens, but it wouldn't be the first time that I've liked a shit game....here's hoping.

Finished Hitman and pretty much enjoyed the lot...less stealthy than it was before which is ideal for me!

Started ACM....ummm....feels like Doom 3....doesn't look much nicer, either.

Sent Aliens Colonic Marines back - just unpleasant to play - no fun at all. SHOULD have been amazing.

Next up: Assassin's Creed 3, and this'll be interesting as none of the others clicked with me at all, but I've heard that this is different enough to appeal to a non-fan....we shall see!

I'm hoping it might be a repeat of my Dead Space experience: ie hated DS1, but really enjoyed DS2.

I picked up AC3 dirt cheap the other day and have just started it.

I've loved all of them and to to be honest, I think you'll be disappointed. It feels exactly like all the other games to me, only with some really irritating bits thrown in :)

It starts off amazingly - I defy anyone not to be impressed by the opera house and all those people in there. Really is impressive. Then moves on to section on a boat while you cross the Atlantic, which I really enjoyed and thought was very atmospheric.

Trouble is, the first few missions after that involve being stealthy. Now, you don't necessarily always have to be stealthy, sometimes it is just if you want 100% synchronisation (that will make sense when you play the game) and of course, I'm a bit OCD for that kind of thing.

But it can be totally random (or so it seems), as to whether you get spotted or not.

It does pick up again after a handful of missions, which admittedly are pretty much tutorials. And the game itself can look absolutely gorgeous. One thing they do so well is properly populate their worlds with diverse NPC's - and the wilderness areas with the snows are a nice change from the city streets.

But as I say, still feels like Assassins Creed to me. I reckon people saying it felt different are basing that more on the fact this is set in a more modern era and doesn't have the verticality of the older games - which I must admit I miss. Nothing quite like working you way up to the top of an enormously high building.

I enjoyed it thus far, but the lack of a "Crouch" or "Sneak" button feels odd!

On my phone can't be arsed to type. All I have to say is combat is still shit and controls pony. Listening in mechanic is shit. Too much AC, in short have AC fatigue.

Plus Conor is a boring wanker.

Is Indie's a second account of Diddly's? They are both a right pair of miserable twats at times.....can't be two people in the world like that surely ;)

I am enjoying AC3 a fair bit more now. I really like the change of pace of the Frontier sections, running along the tree tops and hunting the wildlife. I am not arsed about story and character in games like this. It's all about the immersiveness of the environments and the exploration.

Anyone paying attention to Xbox Live by the way? Some pretty good deals on there at the minute. I'm tempted to pick up Grid and Dirt 2 again - what with them both being something silly like £2.60 ish?

Also wondered if anyone had played Call of Juarez? I'm a bit of a sucker for a western and that is the same price as well I believe. Seems silly not to have a dabble at that price.

Is that Call of Juarez: The Cartel or whatever? If it is...AVOID! If it's the original one....it'll be looking pretty clunky by now, I woulda thought?

I have to say that I'm struggling with Assassins Creed III. Am inclined to agree with Mr. Indie in that the controls ARE shit...in fact, there's quite a lot that's shit (voice acting is dire).

It's just not much.....fun.

I'm digging AC3 more now that fast travel options are opening up. I don't mind traversing the cities by foot, but the wilderness during the snow is a hard slog.

I know that is how it would be in the real world, but when you sometimes have limited time to play a game, it makes it hard work when you spend a lot of time on foot.

Other than that I don't have an issue with the controls at all to be honest. Connor does exactly what I want him to do, and when I want him to do it. Plus the counter fighting mechanism works great. Each to their own though...and all that :)

Looking forward to picking up Tomb Raider at some point. Game looks fantastic from what I've seen and read so far.
