It is a damn fine game. Have taken out about 10 or so bosses so assume I am approx half way through the campaign. As soon as I hit 4* on the agility skill I will try some co-op. |

3* is plenty enough to co-op - Ste and I climbed the keep several times last night with 3* skill. It just makes you work a little harder for it. So get yer arse online. |

Fair enough. How does it work with co-op? I note that when you get to the in game start menu, you need to choose single player or co-op campaign. If I chose the latter, do I need to wait for you or Ste to be around or does it start me off by myself and let me know when you are ready to join? |

Metal Gear Solid 3 - Snake Eater After a long gaming sabbatical I decided to play on the PS2 again. Not sight of a PS3 or 360 in the household in the near future. Picked up MSG3 in game dirt cheap. So far seems the same , sit back and watch the movie sort of affair of MSG2. Very James Bondy in its style too. Totally crap at the stealth stuff so far as its a long time since I played the previous game. |

Definitely an improvement over number 2 (Which I loved) and the setting and style works beautifully. Give it a few hours once you're past the bulk of the first few VERY long cutscenes and things start to shine. Particularly the inventive bosses later on.

Preferred #2 myself. The open environment meant that the camera positioning was less than optimal - something they rectified in the Subsistence version of the game. |

I thought MGS3 was an absolute belter, EASILY up there for best game on the PS2 I think. I agree with Pedro, once you get stuck in, it gets really good. an absolute joy to play - MGS4 is a damn valid point to buy a PS3 in my experience. |

CoD3. i finally caved in and got it but am disappointed at the MP mode-all the maps are huge (obviously bullying you into live play) and the radar doesn't actually seem to work at all! come back infinity ward! God of War II. i know it's already been said on the specific thread but i wanted to let everyone know how much i'm enjoying this. anyone who's got a ps2 that still works needs to get this game-your faith in gaming in general will be rekindled with the original level design, smart but not annoyingly frustrating puzzles and challenging but not shit platforming! might cry when i see how long it lasts but i reckon i could play this through again on titan mode-apparently it's pretty nails... |

Metal Gear Portable Ops I haven't played a metal gear games since the second installment on PS2 so picked this up with some hesitation. Technically lovely with nice graphics and fab artwork in the (still) lengthy cut-sequences. Am I enjoying it? Not in the slightest. Fiddly controls and a really nasty team management element that seems to contradict the whole ethos of MGS. A chore so far... |

Yeah, I've had this on import since it came out in the US and I must admit after sustained play I was disappointed. I loved it at first but I think I was just wowed by the graphics and sound (Easily pleased) the chunk sized missions make the whole experience feel a bit disjointed but I suppose this was a design for the PSP pick up and play ethos. On a similar PSP note I've finally get Resi 2 working via Popstation...yay! I need to polish up on my zombie hunting skills though. Nearly died before I reached the police station!

Cooking Mama DS (aka I am gay) Swiped this off my bint and like a lot of DS games, its something that has mediocre reviews, you would never exchange full price money for it, and yet it is great fun to pick up and play if you happen to stumble on a copy. Basically you choose from a slew of different recipes, prepare and then cook your food with the aid of stylus shennanighans. Its a string of mini games in other words but fuck me does it make you feel hungry when you hear the pan frying sounds..... Addictive. And will turn you into a kitchen bound poof in no time. |
