You could also backup your saves to usb as well I'm sure. Besides, it's GTA so the worst that can happen is that you play through hours of awesomeness again

That is very odd. I've been hitting the old Far Cry 4 more than GTA, it has to be said. I've got a feeling that, like Far Cry 3 before it, a whole, new area opens up after a certain point. The problem is that it's always AFTER you've been playing for ages and maxing out your stats, so it's all a bit pointless....the same way they've got the crafting wrong again, in that you can get it all done and dusted (relatively) quickly thereby negating any further hunting fun. |

It should, but sometimes there is a glitch, which you can only find out about if you check the logs or summink! |

Juz, had that feeling as well yhat another area opens in Far Cry. They did put out 3 videos showcasing the areas in the game and so far at least, everything has all looked similar environment wise (apart from that snowy mountain mission) so hopefully there is even more to see. Ubisoft know exactly how to scratch my ocd itches with all those icons on the map. I'm saving as much of GTA for Christmas day as pretty much all my remaining family are away for Christmas this year so I'll be on my own awwwww.

Does anyone fancy some Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris co-op? I really liked the first game and this looks a lot of fun on co-op. Just finding a time to hook up - busy working, family etc old farts that we are. |

I take it you are playing on the girly console rather than the machine of men (Xbox One)

Ha ha sure am. Think this is the first generation where I wont own both major consoles. Just not enough gaming time these days to justify both

My gaming time continues to be minimal but here's what I have been playing: I have finally completed Killzone: Shadow Fall - it looks lovely but the game is pretty average. I did quite enjoy the story and the atmosphere but it had overstayed its welcome by the end. I nearly ended up in the same position as when I gave up on Killzone 2 - there was a firefight right near the end where you had to face wave after wave of shielded enemies. The drone thing got me out of it here. In Killzone 2, the same thing happened right before the final boss but I just kept being overwhelmed and gave up and never went back. Driveclub - looks lovely with all the new weather effects but is too demanding for me. I'm hopeless at driving games so need a few easy wins to keep me interested. I much prefer the less hardcore racing of Forza Horizon 2. Super Mario 3D World - I've never been a huge fan of cutesy Nintendo franchises but Little Zai and I really enjoyed playing through this in co-op. It certainly made a change from all the Lego games we've completed this year! We finished all the levels apart from the last few which are only unlocked if you get all the stars on every level. Halo - Master Chief Collection Halo was one of the few games I completed on the original Xbox, but I never got round to playing any of the sequels. I intended to start with Halo 2, but decided to blast through the first game again to remind myself of the story arc. I'm finding it just as enjoyable to play as I did the first time round. The HD graphics are nothing special but are obviously a step up from the original. Sadly, I've missed out on the HD upgrade of Halo 3 - ODST, which is being given out as free DLC to early adopters as a reward for living with a broken game for 2 months, because I only started playing it the day after the cut-off for the offer. Valiant Hearts - a charming game from Ubisoft. The puzzles are not very demanding and it was in danger of trivialising WWI, but I was drawn in by the story and really came to care for the characters. The ending is particularly poignant. Had a bash on Sunset Overdrive, looks a fun game. Will go back at some point. EDIT: Almost forgot - having been bored by just about every GTA game apart from Vice City, and not bothered playing GTA IV at all, I decided to get GTA V on PS4 and see if it would light my fire. Sadly, all the homie/nigga/motherfucker shtick which nearly had me throwing San Andreas out of the window is back here so I'm not sure I will be lingering very long in Los Santos. I don't think open world games and GTA in particular will ever be for me. I really need a linear story to follow in my games... Edited by Zaichik, Dec 22 2014, 12:45 PM.

Been playing some Murdered: Soul Suspect after picking it up for a tenner in the xbla sale, and I'm actually really enjoying it. It's quite slow paced and has a lot in common with point and click games, rather than the action game I thought it was going to be. But the story has me intrigued and I'm enjoying figuring out the clues and seeing where it all leads. Well worth 10 quid. Still pondering Alien Isolation, byt read a few reviews where they mention some tedious sections to trudge through. Not keen on getting angry while playing. |

Don't be a pussy. Get online with some mates (not randoms) and you'll love it. In other news, I think I'll be trading in Dragon Age as it's just no Skyrim replacement. Something about it just hasn't clicked with me after 15 hours or so. Possibly the fact that I hate having companions with me in games. |

Still pounding away here at Far Cry 4. I really don't want it to end. Such a great game. I do think however, that FC3s world was a bit more interesting. I liked all the underground facilities in that, which seem to be completely absent in this game. Get what you are saying about Dragon Age Juz. I normally prefer exploring alone. But some later characters have some funny shit to say. Talking of Skyrim though. Isn't it about time Bethesda announced what they are working on next. |

Word on the Internet street is that it's gonna be set in Argonia (the lizard dudes...you know, like our Royal family), and out in.....*sob* 2016. Honestly...I've been missing Skyrim so much that I've been watching some old Parker Plays vids of them on YouTube. If you wanna bother, it's by a user called MorrisDanceGaming...I find him genuinely funny. |

Now I'm a massive nerd and love a bit of D&D (fuck, I used to board game, paint Citadel/Gamesworkshop figures ... and worse, when I was a kid). But Skyrim just left me colder than a witches tit. I played the main campaign through and completed the Thieves Guild quests and a load of other stuff (so I guess it can't have been *that* bad) but I failed to see what all the fuss was about. I've been playing Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. Really like it - love a bit of isometric dungeon crawling! And it might be a great deal shorter than Diablo, and as much as I fucking love Diablo, at least isn't mindless and has some puzzles to compensate for it's shortness. Had a couple of GTA Online sessions, that despite being spent with Juz, were a bloody lot of fun! Will be back onto that this week once the retards that are BT come round and fix my phone line *again* so I can get nearer the 10Mbs I'm supposed to be getting from Sky, not the 0.5Mpb I was getting this weekend! Oh, I also got an iPad compatible Mad Catz controller for Christmas, so playing the HD'd up Tomb Raider 1 and Tomb Raider 2 that are available of iOS. And they look sooooooooooo good. Fav games of all time ... well, on par with Dark Souls. With touch screen controls they are nigh on fucking impossible to play on an iPad. Edited by Indie, Jan 5 2015, 08:54 AM.
