I waited until crimbo and someone got me mass effect I'm only a couple of hours in but i don't know what you guys seem to be moaning about-on this forum it seemed as if the game got trashed but i'm really enjoying it so far. got the SE and the artbook and codex are pretty nice, even though there is a codex in the game that don't even have to read-it talks to you! just getting to grips with the equipment/omni gel system etc but i think it works quite well. we'll see how long the honeymoon lasts... |

I've been playing Excite Truck on the Wii - Liz got it as a Crimbo pressie and it arrived late. I'd never thought that it would be that good, but it's really quite smart indeed - fast and furious, quick loading times, and the ability to play my own music from an SD card. It'd be a corker at full price, but Liz got it for: £15 odd quid from here Just click on the link and then use 10% student discount - the code is "STUDENT10%" and then you need to put in a student card number - Liz just put in a random 18 digit number and it worked. Without the voucher, they're doing the game for £16.95 delivered. I guess we've got some students here that'd reveal their secret number, but I really don't think you need it! EDIT: I've heard about these SD cards with shitloads of games on 'em - are they the full DS games? I guess we shouldn't be talking about em though eh? Who else has got one? |

Yakuza Got this for a bargain £7 in Zavvi (Still can't get used to that name!) Decent beat em up if a little repetitive. The plot is cliche material but it's still enthralling none the less and the voice acting isn't bad either. It's a shame the technical limitations of the PS2 are so apparent. Long loading times annoy after so long. I wouldn't mind playing number 2 if that ever reaches these shores (it is scheduled for US release) and then of course number 3 on the PS3.

Once again, I marvel that your o/h is so supportive of your gaming habit. I would pass out with shock if Mrs Z ever bought me a game, let alone a console and games! |

Beware of the Game Collection. I bought a game from them through Amazon Marketplace and what they sent me was clearly second hand (had a tatty box and marker pen all over the manual). I never got any replies to any of my emails about it, and ended up lodging a complaint with Amazon. From the feedback on Amazon, and what I've read on other forums, this was not a one-off. |

Well, funny you should say that - our initial game didn't arrive, but the replacement did and it's all brand spanking new - so, maybe I won't recommend them TOO much - More a recommendation of the game if you can find it cheap.Oh, and has anyone else got one of those SD cards with loadsa DS games on it? ARRRRR!!!! |

I've got a 1GB Micro SD card - but I'm assuming you need a convertor or summink...and then need to download stuff - which I cannot be arsed to do as it'll mostly be virus-infected. Just curious, is all

The SD card is a normal card bought from dixons for £10 But you need something like an R4 cartridge to put it in, I got my R4 from amazon yes it was expensive almost £40 but when you consider thats just the price of 2 DS games and I currently have 66 games on it. yes, the full games. You play the game as normal and save as normal, the DS thinks you have the original cartridge in. oh and theres a homebrew scene for the R4, with spectrum, nes, snes, gbc and other emulators for it. and you can play mp3's and watch videos check its site R4 site (you can't buy them here, only get info on them) |

OK - cheers for all the info, but I wonder where a more scurr...scurrel....scur....dodgy person could download the actual code from? Without getting busted and/or virus-infected. All hypothetical, of course. EDIT: Forget I asked - I ain't gonna be doing it cos I can't be arsed PLUS it's dodgy and I don't wanna get GC into trouble

After having an impromptu Wii evening at neighbours a couple of weeks ago, Mrs.C agreed (succumbed to incessant pleading....) and we got a Wii a couple of days ago. Wii Sports is a hoot in partially-pissed-up multi-player mode with the neighbours - we nearly missed the bells last night! Oh, and Big Brain Academy is annoyingly addictive! Got Halo3 for Christmas from Mrs.C too - liking it in a single-player-mental-relaxation-(not-watching-soaps)-after-the-kids-are-in-bed mode..... |

Ha ha indeed, me too! Playing Super Mario Galaxy at the mo (got COD4 and Halo 3 for Crimble, but Red Ring of Death means no 360, which has been in for repair since before the holidays). Have to say it's rather lovely and the nature of the game makes it ideal for dipping in to play a quick planet or two between the demands of a 4 month old baby and the odd jobs around the house! |
