It's hard to believe that a Table Tennis game is making such a splash but we should've known Rockstar knew what they were doing.

I'm still planning to buy Hitman: Blood Money on Friday but from what I gather it's essentially more of the same. Suits me :)

I 'spect most of you now already but there's new downloadable content for Oblivion, The Thieve's Den, which is now up on Xbox Live Marketplace, and here: http://obliviondownloads.com/StoreCatalog_...spx?ProductId=5 for PC.

There is also a free download of 3 new Cadilacs for PGR3, now as well.

Cheers - will check that out.

Being a tightwad, I won't be downloading any content 'less it's free. Especially for Oblivion which I haven't played for ages, and kinda felt ambivalent about anyway.

Or you could go to the staffroom, (remember where it is?) and ask for it, and then review the full game, you lazy git :P

Cadillacs - lmfao - it just doesn't get any dafter than that

I just got all 50 achievements ;) sorry for gloating but its the first game where I've got them all ;) - I can see me playing this come xmas and i'm already planning my next char which I'll start in about 2 months.

wish I could name the damn save games though :/

First up Guitar Hero

What a laugh this is. I had my four year old nephew over on Saturday when the game was delivered and had to keep it under wraps until he left on Sunday because I didn't want him messing with my axe :P

Anyway, I don't know a lot of the tunes but that hasn't stopped me working my way through most of them on the easy setting. It's still quite a difficult one to master but I'm getting there. Loving the 'whammy bar' on the power chords. :D

Hitman: Blood Money

Really enjoying this. The levels are designed perfectly and in such a way that even when you've done them, you can always go back and try a different tactic to get the hallowed 'silent assassin' rating. The opportunities to cause 'accidents' are too inviting! :)

Visually the game looks great but not I suppose 'next-gen' in the true sense of the word. Still, things are solid and I defy people not to be a least a little impressed when dealing with the crowds in say the mardis gras level.

There's also a pretty decent plot threading all the levels together which dips in and out of the Hitman timeline.

I can't see it being a huge game but the replayablity factor is definitely in its favour. The demo really doesn't do the full game justice IMO

What are the reviews for Hitman looking like?

My poxy office PC won't let me look at any game related sites like gamerankings.com.

Quite fancy it as my 360 is not seeing much action at the moment. Does it look 360 or just very glossy?

Lord of the Rings: Battle For Middle Earth

Really enjoying this RTS, although think it's fair to say the game is balanced to favour the light armies rather than the dark ones.

None the less, really good fun - hit a bit of a brick wall (excuse the pun) on the Helms Deep level which is really tough. But enjoying the skirmish mode which is more or less the same maps as the core missions.

And if I may say so, what a charming smashing blouse you've got on

The reviews I've read so far have been 7's and 8's. Around that sort of score mark.

To be honest if you're expecting a 360 graphical showcase this ain't it! A slightly glossier Xbox version is what you get (Worth the extra tenner? debatable that's for sure). If you can get access to the demo on marketplace that'll give you a good indication of the visuals although the level design does improve as you progress.

Another point is if you didn't like earlier games you almost certainly won't be enthralled with this one. I know the series has split gamers and this won't stop the trend.

Still, without being all negative I personally think it's great. A definite 8 for me.

Good grief - I naturally had to download this selection of free (it's more than they're worth) crappo American tin tanks (you don't even get the almost worth having concept supercar that was in GT4 ffs) and had a quick session of PGR3 consequently. What twitchy, unfriendly pile of old poop this game is - it's even more apparent after playing a proper, controllable 60fps racer for comparison - on the PS2.

The only thing many 360 games have going for them is resolution, many other gaming aspects (lifespan & overall content, level of control, QA testing, frame rate, online playability) seem to have gone by the by. The best driving game is still on the PS2, the best online racing games may be on the old Xbox (and ironically still aren't, or ever likely to be 360 compatible), but now the best riding game isn't the 360's shiny new Moto GP4; it's Tourist Trophy on the ancient PlayStation 2. Still not quite the handling I'd like to see in my perfect idea of a bike game, but a perfect, usable handlebar/fairing view and a sensation of speed as good as anything out there, without the need for a single stoopid blurring effect. Like I said - good grief.

I was hoping Ste would knock me up for a game (or have got his review done by now, but there you go) - don't think anyone else I know on this continent has it. It's a good enough game offline (soon gets to be a yawn) but laggy as hell online with everyone I've played, which completely ruins it, just like all the other tennis games. Now maybe if all the girlies had big boobs and played in thongs.... :ph43r:

I was so desperate for something good to play I went back and started San Andreas again (ironically enough much better on the 360 thanks to the shoulder buttons). Now it looks like I'm gonna have to review FFXI because no one else wants to

I've been replaying Galleon on the X-Box (see if I can finish it this time)

There really is a decent game dying to come out but the camera issues, glitches and lacklustre combat mechanics ultimately bring it down.

It's such a shame there will never be a sequel because the ideas, voice acting and story are all so well done you'd hope they'd do another game just to try and iron out the problems and deliver the polished game the original so deserved to be. :(
